the instruction for the frame is finished. here some steps all steps on flickr and brickshelf it may take several days til lthe brickshelf folder is online -
the rpm is the difference vfracingteam, nice concept but i think your center of gravity will be a bit to high. why not mount the servos like this 101_9424 von efferman auf Flickr and mount the upper part of the the springs two holes higher, that the whole frame komes down two holes. you will be have the same ground clearance but a much lower center of gravity

good news, the G-Class pickup will stay alive. i have made a small order a few minutes ago because the axles are identical i can make a instruction without dissassembling the G -

i will see what i can do i have began with building a second chassis (a bit improved) for the instruction. for the new motors iam using dummys 100_9572 von efferman auf Flickr -

i think the black springs was the right decission. at a flat surface the springs are compressed one third. so i have a good flex on uneven terrain. i dont understand why the tatras in the lego truck trial vids has on a flat surface a fully extended suspension. if there is a hole on the ground every other spring must first be compressed, before the tire above the hole can get contact to ground again. in my eyes this is not good for traction and on side slopes it let the tatras making easier a side roll. my spring setup would give them more ground contact and a lower center of gravity. -

thanks guys you know that a instruction needs the disassembling? , sure, i will make some pics with some different tires9398 8110 power puller ok a little joke i dont really know, but i think roundabout 2000 parts, maybe less -

thanks for all of your praise yes, the motors are the only connection between the axle and the turntable which connects it to the frame. -

to use a free run bevel gear is not an vise idea if you want transmitt torque around a corner. zblj, i have no space for a double bevel gear -

well Dluders, i really dont want to disassemble the G but there are too much rare electronic parts included. maybe i will make an other chassis for it, to save the bodywork. twin otter, i love the L motors because of its torque and mounting possibilities -
I think my mercedes G is worth to get a own presentation topic. the concept was to get a capable offroader without renounce a good looking body. to get this goal i has made the decission many of the new pf parts. For the propulsion iam using four of the new Pf- L motors. every wheel is driven by one of the motors to get a small turning circle i have used a a allwheel steering. every axle has its own PF- Servo which can steered separatley. the advantage of the new L motor is indiscutable the good mounting possibilitiys. so it is a good idea to use it as part of the structure. there is not more a need for complex frames around the motor. the most important thing to get a proper look, especially at the flatbed was a low frame. so i have mounted the springs much lower than the springs in the 9398 lego crawler The most difficult part of the G was the design. here are some evolution steps finaly some pics of the final version and now the performance of the naked chassis now the final vid with the full 2400 grams heavy G finaly a little size comparisation between my mog und the G 100_9544 von efferman auf Flickr all pictures are available at flickr. the full story you can read starting with this post in my technic corner thanks for reading

thanks, we had not much rain in the last time. i think that the thin 20 tooth bevel gear was slipping which is mounted deep in the axle and not easy to photograph. currently iam making a bunch of new pics and i try to get a good view of it -
