MOC Scania P380 scale 1:10
efferman replied to Becs's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
the problem are the tires. in 1:10 they are in real only 948mm in diameter. so every semi tractor looks to wide in 1:10. a tire with 104mm in in diameter and 33mm in width woudt fit much better for 1:10. the solution would be a smaller scale and a super single setup instead a dual tire setup. -

i can move my steering wheel from the left to the right side and the mechanics need the space. and whats wrong at the position? the original U400 has the cylinder at the same place -

two family photos to check the scale 101_0421 von efferman auf Flickr after seeing the second picture i have checked the dimensions of the U400 and the G. the result was a scale of 1:12 for the mog and 1:12,75 for the G. close enough? with the tires of the black cat the scale would fit perfect. but why they are so expensive? -

yes the main weight is near the rear axle, but the center of gravity is very low. to place the servo under the hood should not be a problem from technical point, but for design it would give some limitations. with the current setup there is nearly every body possible, for example something like your boss. so i have made the decission to mount it in the middle rear position. -

here i have the ldd file for you. the new wheel hubs on the rear axle, the PF-L and the Servo are not existing and the 6l steering plates on the front axle i have not found. g63 von efferman auf Flickr p.s. without the motors the chassis is at the back not stable -

looks a bit wobbly. i think the axle needs some additional guidance. why not like this? -

no, tank steering should not be an option. to narrow in relation to the length. by the way, the first running chassis is ready for making a small vid tomorrow 101_0413 von efferman auf Flickr -

i want a good turning performance, but with the more narrow axle was no space for a diff. so i had made the decission, to use one L motor per side. -

changed trackwidth from 19 to 18, to fit better in scale of the G63 and switched to a diffless drivetrain more technical changes are possible -

the 20x30 are equal to the 62 and the 24x43 are roundabaout 81mm in diameter. the baja mtz are really cool, but currently a little bit to expensive for me -
a silly question: the top 100 which gets the genious boss has made the most votes, or did they get the most votes?

maybe the frontaxle of a smaller G 65 AMG. because of the low ground clearance not for heavy terrain. -

It is only an axle, you can use every motor in your chassis. You should only have in mind that the torque ball is in front of the axle -
