  1. it has his own receiver, theoretical the chassis receivers are not in work during crane working. i have made a first version of instruction, excluding counterweight, can you please take a look on it? http://bricksafe.com/files/efferman/How%20to%20make%20a%20Grove%20GMK%206400%20Uppercarriage%20wide.pdf warning, it has 160mb
  2. indeed blakbird. the counterweight is finished, including a second winch for an optional flyjib. here is the lxf
  3. the half counterweight is done. the final counterweight will have space for 10 additional AA batteries (without batt box) opinions?
  4. during making the instruction i have searched for information and found the size of the counterweight baseplate. Made a rough mockup and made a test in relation to the scale the width is nearly exact. Only the distance from turntable center to the end of the counterweight is 2 or 3 studs to short. should i include this into the instruction when i have finished the baseplate?
  5. The center of gravity seems a bit to high.
  6. is my solution at this topic doesnt work? http://www.eurobrick...hl=+lego +movie or do you want a connection between legs and the torso?
  7. i think i have an idea edit: a rough sketch
  8. will it be available at resellers like amazon or only at your webshop?
  9. if this will be true i hope it will be more like this than the prototype above
  10. Structural there are no big changes. Beside the tilting cab, the width of the winch is grown from 3 to five studs to have more space for rope. other changes are simply for easier assembling and the rotating mechanism has a bigger gear ratio. here you can find the already done instruction steps. On flickr the pictures are bad sorted. Please follow the title number. The instruction for the boom is not made yet. when the instruction is done i will make a pdf version.
  11. Its only dirty. Black is possible. For this i would suggest to order the outside set in black and the internals in white strong and flexible. Sure, my big turntable would give a benefit, but this would makes a complete new structure necessary.
  12. what a insane outreach. the two batteryboxes are not heavy enough
  13. substep 3 (page 13)on step 4, Step 22 (page 27) and 25 (page 29)you can ignore. Step 32 (page 55) and his 10 sub steps you can ignore too. On Page 57 and 59 you can ignore the 2x4 liftarm, included their pins, which are in front. The rear 4x2 liftarmes are necessary for the model. The upper black pins on these rear liftarms has to replaced by blue 3l friction pins (the liftarm is in center of the pins). on the innerside you have to put two angle connectors #1, facing in direction to the front axle. at this point you can add the preassembled steering mechanism. Be sure that the actuator rods are at the half of their moving range. Step 49 (page 77) and his substeps are has to be skipped. the axle 6 on step 57 ( page 93) has to replaced by a axle 7
  14. the original 42030 uses this part only on one side (on left side under the receivers), i have added a second one for the other side to make a connection more simple.
  15. both parts are a circle and then a specific angle is necessary to put it together? a simple solution for an insane problem
  16. ok then i will make a simple instruction of it. btw, some pictures now i have to search for all new type curved panels i have
  17. thank you very much. sometimes it seems you have a different ldd version
  18. AFOL1969 please wait with making instructions. During building in real i have made some small but usefull changes. for example the cab will be tiltable.
  19. I hope i have enough curved panels for the boom
  20. Only in ldd till now. There is nothing special included in this superstructure what makes it necessary to build it in real before make a ldd file. But when you want i can build the structure and a short boom to test how it works. if you want a idea how it looks, i have combined the uppercarriage with my -to short- 42009 chassis mod.
  21. no, for a pdf i have to made a instruction. and this could need some weeks
