Efferman's Custom Parts
efferman replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Sorry for not answering, but iam actually on the dark side of the moon. And there is absolutely no internet in next three weeks. Oracid, theoreticly this is absolutely no problem, unfortunately i have actually only 24 hours at home per week. i will look what i can do. Dafgek, you are speculating for a rim like this? alien, the small balls are not successfully printable in lego scale. Snipe, my heavy duty u joints are like the old red ones -
You should watch news in tv. Some minutes ago there was an article about the nuremberg toy fair. Unfortunately no lego to see.

[TC6] ESL 19-21 Side Loader
efferman replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes, this is the problem. To solve this the sled should be longer, but there is no space. Maybe with some adhesive tape to reduce the gap between the sled and the chassis would be an option, but unfortunately lego doesnt sell adhesive tape -
[TC6] ESL 19-21 Side Loader
efferman replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is correct. And i have another reason for no heavy loads. When there is to much load on the forks, the sled is pulling out the driveaxle of the winch a 16l axle with endstop would be cool. -

The second chassis Version is almost done. The frame is more stiff, the steering has now ackermann geometry but a bit less steering angle. -

Dont forget that you have to assemble the u joints. Snipe, a crossaxle instead of the crosshole. This i have tried and it is not solid enough
