  1. There is a winch which pulls a rope, which pulls the gearracks out, with help of a pulley, and this lifts the boom
  2. Cute! why not unfold the jib while extending the mainboom? So you would not need a winch to unfold the jib.
  3. Yes shapeways gives you a tracking link when it is shipped.
  4. 100_1223 by Michael Wirth, auf Flickr torsen diff type A by Michael Wirth, auf Flickr
  5. the helical gears have an angle of 45 degrees. the windings of the wormgear would cross the windings of the helical gear. And two things cannot be on the same time on the same space.
  6. quite Hard? iam happy to have done it, because i have found a small, but big problem with the rotation drivetrain. Unfortunately there is no room for the synchronized winch like in 8421. The same thing can be done with the remote.
  7. no, helical gears only fit on itself or its opposite. a possibility would be a 2 studs long helical gear. But iam not sure if this can be moved on the axle by the other helical gear. @ epictechnic for a home printer you would need the files of the single pieces to print all in one run.
  8. not really, the string type which lego is using for 42009 is really good stuff.
  9. the gear rack actuators are working well. the turntable too, but more mounting options would be cool. it moves to much in relation to the chassis and the bevel gear is jumping over on high load btw. 500g on 50cm distance
  10. Cargo Bay and loading ramp to enter the cargo bay source
  11. now it is much less bulky. @italian Brick i will try something no, the chassis length is not changed yet. one of the next steps will be to fit the receivers and the batterybox into the cab and the i will see how long the cab and the chassis has to be.
  12. it seems we all dont like the bulky end of the uppercarriage, so i have made some changes to save space.
  13. The outriggers will dont have white in the final version. look on the right one
  14. no problem. the uppercarriage is almost done some interior
  15. hmm, the lipo should be heavy enough but this mode lwill go to a lego exhibition in munich in the early november and i need the lipos for something different on this exhibition
  16. i think it is ok and i have to extend the chassis to be able to rotate the superstructure. if this is done it will be not so extreme source
  17. Max, no it will lay over the cab btw, i have two problems. The 42009 Rope is to short. are third party ropes allowed? and my chassis is to short...or the cab is to long.
  18. Be sure, myself is making errors too. But the lifting of the boom works even with a M motor
  19. the cab is lower because my chassis is lower. and the Mudguards are simplo moved one stud to the outside. There are no big structural changes. only the steps on the bumper was changed a bit 100_1508 by Michael Wirth, auf Flickr
  20. first sketch of uppercarriage
