Unrest in the Forest: Confirmation & Discussion
StickFig replied to Walter Kovacs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I do not support this delay of game in favor of the Superb Owl. -
Matthias is prepared to offer a pretty penny if anyone manages to loot XX's hand cannon!

Yeah, greenskins don't need trashy romance novels... or calculus textbooks... or anything in between! Looking forward to reading!

Heroica RPG- Quest #122: Invasion of the Sheep Snatchers

Matthias gathers his cannon and renders a quick salute to the chief. "We'll head out then, Chief Tarlock, and your daughter with us, unless you have anything else?" -
Welcome @Robert10ant! SORSHA! AND NOW THIS: dIdN't We JuSt HaVe A cOnVeRsAtIoN nOt LoNg AgO aBoUt ChArAcTeRs WhO tAlK lIkE tHiS? Wow, that is way too time consuming.... Congratulations, and wow! Oh dear, whoever has done this, I salute you! I hope it isn't only temporary! Yeah, who wants Arthur Justus Regulus VII in their family? That guy makes every story about himself; no one else can get a word in edgewise.... I think we had a ruling a little while back that characters were required to be minifigures... this looks like it's pushing the limits. Yep, I'm sure Guts and some other characters would also like the idea of a weapon that changed type whenever you wanted it to - there could be a reason though that Zoot's Playthings were made so rare. These days that's more common in Heroica than a teenage male human rogue! I'm fairly certain no gnome has ever called your munchkin short - in fact, I know it. Only Matthias' narrator has ever made that mistake, and only once. Mostly it seems that Lind makes fun of Matthias for his size.

Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion

I like the idea of no default songs; what if Minstrels "learned" songs, so that after so many times (rounds) singing a song they no longer needed the song sheet itself? That way they could pass the sheets around the way that real minstrels do. -
Heroica RPG- Quest #122: Invasion of the Sheep Snatchers

Matthias stares unbelieving at Whisperer as the latter attempts to intimidate their employer and host, then stifles a laugh as the Chieftain isn't amused. The gnome turns to Sorsha as she enters and rolls his eyes as Whisperer pulls out his "Master Fighter" bit - She's just a kid, and who talks like that anyway? - but he decides to let Berthadhiell handle that conversation. Turning back to Tarlock, the gnome expresses some doubts. "Chief Tarlock, you mentioned you were leaving some sheep outside for the Others to take. Do you keep the others inside, and would it work to simply keep them all inside? Also, did you have any ideas about how we might be able to prevent the sheep being stolen? I get the feeling you expect us to stop the stealing forever, but I'm not sure I know how to fight lights. Should we disguise ourselves as sheep and hope to be taken so that we can meet the Others?" Sorry all, had a terrifically long day at work yesterday but now I'm on a three-day weekend! -

Unrest in the Forest, Day 1: Rush

Some of us may be busy photosynthesizing or something and with as many posts as we already have there's not much for a tree to add. Don't knock it 'til you try it! No, I'm Vicky Vickory Hickory Dickory Dock etc etc etc, you're Simon Persimmons. Maybe the confusion is happening because a few trees (Simon Persimmon, Bruce Spruce, William Willow, Nash Ash) seem to be living in a forest that the rest of us are not quite understanding. They don't seem to be very united right now and I don't think they are, it just seems like there are a couple of levels going on. I'm at the bottom level, personally, what with the photosynthesizing taking up my time.... Vote: Alastair Pear (Brickelodeon) For posting more fluff (that I noticed) than anyone else, and a little flailing lately. Wonderfully helpful. -

Matthias wonders, not for the first time, why Whisperer seems so intent on doing the talking, and such a rude job of it. He extends a tiny hand to the Chieftain. "Peace to you, Chief Tarlock. My name is Matthias; these others are Lind, Purpearl, and Siercon. We're glad to have this opportunity to assist the Sheep Tribe on behalf of Heroica. Please tell us everything." -
Unrest in the Forest, Day 1: Rush

1. Concur. 2. I'm confused - are we wondering about the fact that Nash Ash proclaimed himself Oakiest of Oaks, or that Berty Birch corrected him (and was fishing in the process)? Now even I'm confused. Say it with me: Vicky Hickory. Yes, for some more deja-vu, Catarina Dogwood usually seems a sap, and she does again in this forest. Two others I'm on the fence about for the same reasons (seem a bit maple-y today but have often seemed so in the past) are Alastair Pear and Larry Larch. All three just seem to be posting a lot of nothing. -

Good morning, you people not on the wrong side of the world! Well, I'm sure that's fine and good, but I would definitely like to say (but not defiantly) that anyone who doesn't PM me in a speedy manner must be a maple! -

Rats, I had a good bit of roleplay planned for that hahahaha.... Matthias dusts himself off, settles his top hat back on his pate, and hauls himself and his cannon into the cart, never looking at Berthadhiell or Whisperer. "To the village," he says simply. -

Nice try with the munchkining though hahahaha Really, though, who's going to use consumables in a fight you don't even need to win? It's not like there is loot, and everyone gets experience.... Matthias decides to get things going so he grabs the hem of Waldorf's unbuttoned jacket and swings himself up, aiming to deliver a flying kick to the man's belly. "Who in their right mind shaves the beard off their own chin?" he shouts to psych himself up. -

Matthias nods to Siercon briefly to acknowledge the Battle Mage's support, keeping his fists up. I think I'm irrationally happy about a Gnome-Munchkin fistfight.
