  1. The Gritter truck wins hands-down for me although I would probably have the bin truck/ambulance/Fork Lift joint 2nd. Although l also dont like the design of US ambulances the detail of this model is great although its just too big for me. The bin truck is great too but again the scale is not for me. The fork lift's design is also great and is quite original. The one thing though, I think Paul's other 2 trucks, the skip-van and the crance-truck could have been included as they are top models also.
  2. I like Calvin & Hobbes, The Farside Gallery, and books like Stalingrad (Antony Beevor) or The Last Battle (Cornelius Ryan) and the odd novel like Gormenghast (Mervin Peake). The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Mark Haddon was a good novel i read recently.
  3. The cafe corner is definitely worth the money considering it has alot more bricks that the standard 60-70euro town sets. I just worry that shops may not stock these sets so much.
  4. Muse are perhaps my favourite band of last couple of years. The Pixies are my fav band which never made it very mainstream. ABBA are a great band too :-)
  5. MUSE, Thoughts Of A Dying Atheist
  6. These are really excellent even though I don't normally like 6-wide trucks.
  7. I like the garage and bank. Pretty cool. *y* nice ATM.
  8. Salam, khoobi? Conas ata tu?
  9. Coke *y* Pepsi is disgusting :-X Just a word of advice, if you are drinking carbonated drinks don't bother eating calcium rich foods like milk or cheese beforehand as the fizzy drink will prevent your body absorbing the calcium.
  10. Swapping the police station baseplate for the mansion was a very good idea. Big improvements!
  11. This is brilliant. Very futuristic looking. Nice building techniques too. In the background I think I see Captain Spaulding *y*
  12. Exactly, they might give us an eifel tower, a crap small one :-D That brandenberg gate looks great *y*
  13. Your bus might win.
  14. Yes this is very good. I know the real ones in Iraq are having problems with IEDs as some don't have enough armour. Is this one based on the one with or without the extra armour do you know? I'm not sure if the extra armour is just thicker walls or if it makes the vehicle look a bit different.
  15. One of my favs is the trabant.
  16. Very funny, nice MOC. Scary doc! :-D
  17. Well it says United Kingdom on the form you fill out and last time I looked England was still a part of it... So it looks like your in luck *y*
  18. Well, I guess lying is part of your family's genes :-D
  19. When will FIAT stop hiring minors?! :-(
  20. The quality has definitely gotten worse to say the least but the costs are rising if anything so no surprise of some profits. I have had broken pieces included in 2 sets bought in 2 different shops towards the end of last year. One of them a unique piece that cannot be replaced easily. The thing is I never had a broken piece in the hundreds of sets I got in the 1980s and 90s. I am certain they have cut back on the quality control aspect for cost savings. I have also noticed that some bricks in the sets last year had imperfections never seen previously. Anyway, to me it is not a huge big deal as I don't make their official sets but make my own Mocs as I think the quality of their designs is... However, if I was a young kid who wanted to have that airport correctly made as the instructions show, I might be a bit p....d off.
  21. Well I keep every piece that comes with a LEGO set as I always find uses for them. The shiney ones that hold coins together I used to use as
  22. What do people call the name for the "pieces" that hold coins, flower petals and lights together when you buy a new box of lego. Some people might call them useless pieces but I find they are good for products, fish and similar things but do they have a recognised name? Another similar piece is the rings used to hold plums from the Castle and Pirate themes.
  23. PirateBricks.com sounds best to me. There might be other possible names you could use that are not on that shortlist but I guess the Pirate junkies will suggest the best ones.
  24. I like your pharmacy alot. You did a good job on the signs. Are they stickers?
  25. I won a gold star sticker once for getting 10 out of 10 spellings correct
