  1. These reasons are why I prefer to build MOC towns. Made of many small MOC buildings. They don't have to be great MOCs, its the overall impression of a growing city that makes me feel good! However, I have had some very bad times too (depressed times, lego-wise) when my city was all broken up. Starting to make a city was nearly always very difficult. I just came back from my Dark Age last year (my Lego is in the attic of my parents and I wanted one final display before I moved out) and I bought many boxes of basic building bricks. Would you believe that when I bought these it actually made starting the city nearly more difficult because my room was just one big huge mess of bricks, and not fancy bricks, just bog-standard blocks. Thankfully now, it is okay, cos after a few months of reshaping my layout I am happy enough and I also have enough bricks used up to give me space to think and move around. The real hard times are over :'-) However I do feel sorry for anyone going through "lego depression" if I can make this term!!
  2. Very nice :-) , only thing i could do would be to sprinkle snow on the lego boards to hide them. Then I think it would look film-quality.
  3. This is great *y* I love the sky-lights (windows on the roof)!
  4. I have a pile of technic type bricks, you know the small connectors, and beams with holes etc. It's not a huge pile but big enough and I have yet to use them in my town. So I was wondering if anyone has used them for TOWN MOCs, I considered making some kind of car production line but perhaps people have made other things (BIG or small)? So if anyone has any pics or ideas of Town MOCs they made using technic pieces (but don't look like technic MOCs) please let me know! :-)
  5. Anyone have a picture of your troops in battle??? X-D
  6. Peasants in the Middle Ages wouldn't wear colourful clothes (unless they stole them) as colour was only for the rich (especially purple do to the cost of making the dyes) So I think you should change the blue to cheap white or cream/brown (cream would be more a dirty white :-) got by toiling in the fields ) Nevertheless I think you got a bargain here. It is an idea and I will probably buy your find!
  7. :-D :-D marilyn monroe :-D WOW! She is hot *wub* Yeah one less cop, most people don't care 8-
  8. and the coffee shops are where exactly... :-D This is a great moc indeed, I love the bridge and the barge with hay/wood. Nice style on your buildings! the flower petal over the door is an interesting design. Nice integration of fort Sabre too. *y*
  9. One of your policemen looks like he's gonna blow the head off his colleague :-D :-D I can only see 2 pics of your town :-(
  10. They should spend less money on their cardboard boxes and multiple instruction leaflets.
  11. I concur that you should.
  12. We're too old. Sentimentality for older sets always wins :-)
  13. Well personally I thought the "Deal with it" phrase was funny. We should all just take everything like it is meant in the funny/joking kind of way. Life's easier this way :-)
  14. Evil Willy, aren't you too clean shaven to be a pirate? *sweet* *sweet*
  15. Seems like people think it is a good idea *sweet*
  16. L&S sets are great though unfortunately I only get got one, and probably one of the worst looking L&S sets (a new-era 90s looking police van). But the 9Vbox and sound brick are designed very well. *wub*
  17. Come on man, we aren't being bullyish, we aren't a bunch of Jade Goodys :-D You know, F1 fans aren't usually considered freaks, although it may be a good description, but I have never ever heard of someone calling them freaks. I thought the theme of your question was which sport is harder, either most difficult skillwise or most dangerous, I was not totally sure. Personally I Think F1 is more dangerous with the risk of major crashes etc athough many more footballers die each year from heart atatcks and swallowing their tongues etc than do F1 drivers. But of course this is because for each F1 driver there are perhaps 50 million amateur footballers. It is pretty impossible to be a amateur F1 driver you know, hence it is a fringe sport and always will be (and hopefully for the planet's sake, carbon monoxide etc). It seems you have had bad experience with weirdos in your area who consider football a macho sport and F1 for faeries or something, however if you know people like this, it is no problem they are just idiots. However I don't think Starwarsj, Hobbes & Kiki are like these people. But for me, F1 is still dead boring, Schumacher is a arrogant cheat and bighead (ask Mr D. Hill), and David Beckham and the whole English football team and media hype are head-wrecking irritants. You know, professional football is in general boring too, it's the stuff in the park that is fun!
  18. It is cool but I don't think that whoever lost their 2 hands would think so
  19. I like grey.
  20. That MOC I thought was the best for me :-) On a smaller level, I thought this 'MOC' was great, something I had not seen made before. Some more pics
  21. You should change your name to Mr F1
  22. Those Skeleton horses will be great for Town fans who want to make a natural history museum :)
