The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion
JamesBenjamin replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If there's another set with Classic Space figs it will probly be red/black and another "new" color. They'll want to get all the originals out first. Though I'm still sort of miffed there's no straight up blue space guy, since Benny is faded. -

Side note: To anyone looking to grab apocalypse Benny with the cool Classic Space toolbox, he appears to be one per case of the CMF series. I found them at my local Fred Meyer, one store had one box that was only missing one figure and they had only one Benny, the other store had two boxes that were missing 3 figures and I found 2 Bennys. So most likely one per box. Seemed to be lots of Giraffe guy though. -

How do you know there's "no reason at all" for the 4 female singers? One of them is clearly Wildstyle before her life as a masterbuilder. The others are likely her band/other musicians from a flashback scene. We already know the Wildstyle figure is called "flashback wildstyle" for example. -

And they were sold out! But I picked up the emmet/benny garage set. And then thought to check the Target app and the target near my work had them in stock! So I did a "pick up in store order" for 2 more and I'm set. Also the emmet/benny garage set is on sale at Target for $15.99 today (don't know how long it'll last) so if anyone is thinking about it, now's a good time. -

Thank you, sir! I'll check in every now and again from now on to stay up to date. I did look at Benny's Spaceship from the last movie, but it didn't seem "classic space" enough for me to commit to such a large set. The battle pack really hit me right where I needed to be hit, I suppose. -

Hey guys, I've been gone a while, sold off most of my Lego about 5 years ago. Walked into my local Fred Meyer and they had the Lego Movie 2 sets out and Benny's Space Squad suckered me back in. I see there's a classic space ship in the garage set which I'll pick up whenever I see it, but I wanted to ask you guys if there are rumors of any other classic space themed sets coming with the next wave (presumably summer 2019)? I went back a few pages but didn't want to scroll through 50 pages of thread... -
I'm getting married in August and the wife and I will be honeymooning in Europe in September. Since this is the most-international message board I'm a member of, I thought I'd ask you guys for suggestions for things to see! Here's the list of cities again, as I fully expect Eurobricks to chop off my title: London, Dublin, Paris, Barcelona, & Madrid. We're not looking for suggestions for "touristy" things, as the guidebooks and travel agency will already point us there. What I'm looking for is out of the way things that are still really cool, that we likely would have no idea about without knowing a local. We'll be relying on public transit (subways, etc) and walking, maybe the occasional cab, so we'd need to stay somewhat close to what's accessible. We're looking for good local restaurants, your favorite dive bar, geek-friendly activities (a really awesome comic/toy shop, for example), shopping districts with local flair, weirder places of historical significance (I'd direct you to Edgar Alan Poe's house if you came to Virginia, for example), or anything else you think might be worth visiting that's not going to show up in a travel website or guidebook. Also: we haven't booked our hotels yet, so neighborhoods worth staying in (central to lots of neat stuff) would be awesome too. I'll be looking forward to you guy's suggestions, and might bump this thread a few times between now and August to get more opinions. Thanks in advance!

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
JamesBenjamin replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
None of the Spider-Man sets are based on movies. They're based on the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. That's why the Nick Fury looks different too. -
I don't know the tribe, but there are certain Native Americans whose medicine men wear a dead crow on their heads for religious reasons.

And it is a real picture with proper reflections and what not, the model is sitting in front of a box, with the reflection off the glass on the left/rear there... So if its fake, they went through a lot of trouble for it- 174 replies

Take a closer look, they did use the "brick" bricks. The entire base of the castle is "brick" bricks, which is a realistic way to use them.

I downloaded all the PDF alt-instructions. If they don't show back up I can upload them somewhere for you guys.

Hasbro to make Transformers constraction figures
JamesBenjamin replied to Jalaguy's topic in Community
http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2013/01/construct-bots/?pid=2055 I'm not a Bionicle/Hero Factory fan, but I figured it's worth bringing up over here. Kre-O was surprisingly high quality, I'd expect these guys to be as well. Also if they use standard Lego connection points, the hands/heads might be useful to builders that don't mind using non-Lego parts. With the 3 big Toy Fair shows over the next few weeks, I'd expect to see more pics, hopefully showing the connection points a little better. If you're interested, keep your eyes on TFW2005.com or seibertron.com (the two big Transformers sites).
