  1. I bought one of the set when it first came out, then 9 more when it went on sale for $8 at my local store. Later I found another 9 or so at a Walmart on clearance for $4, I bought all those too. So I have at least 19, all for me (though my daughter now owns one and has one extra pink guy with hers)
  2. So on my previous Legoland question, today my Target had a case/box of 40393 Legoland Fire academy but per brickset this was only available at the actual Legoland stores last year. I see the driving school (40347) one on their list too, which was maybe the one I saw? But I swear it had snack stands, anyway. So I'm guessing the Legoland range is going to be sold everywhere (or at least Target) this year, as there's no way that my Target (and only my Target) got TWO different legoland case/boxes of sets in randomly https://brickset.com/sets/subtheme-LEGOLAND https://imgur.com/a/ZQZ3b11
  3. Nope, not that set. I actually have 4 of that one that I picked up when they went on sale. This was definitely a "legoland" set and it was street date locked at the register. May have been for 4/1, I'll see if they have it on the shelf tomorrow.
  4. So the other day I was in Target and found 4 copies of a "Legoland" set that was about $15 I think, and it had a few little game stands or snack stands or something. It was register locked saying it was for sale on 4/11. I've been poking about and haven't seen these listed anywhere, but perhaps i'm not looking in the right place. Are they being discussed here on EB anywhere? It looked like a new theme, I think the box was mostly yellow and the rest was either red or blue (I don't recall). It looked similar in style to that Legoland water park that is well known.
  5. Well, and setting aside the few printed exclusive bricks, everything else is pretty common so you could build a version of it if you wanted to for cheap.
  6. Oh, I'm not going to buy it. Interesting! I never knew that was out there.
  7. What set is that? (the church) I'm just not familiar.
  8. This isn't really "future" speculation, but can someone who's knowlegable let me know when the two current "pirates" sets might be retired? I want to grab them both but $300 is a bit much to drop. They're both 2020 sets, should they last through the summer? This Christmas?
  9. re: clone brands Until those brands are sold in Target/Walmart/TRU(canada!)/other major retail chains, they are no competition to Lego. While some people looking for a DEAL will buy a clone set online, 99% of people looking for a "construction toy" will just buy it in store. So its Lego or Mega Construx or nothing (and honestly, Mega has gotten much better in recent years, I've bought all their He-Man stuff). But even Mega with their major toy company owner (Mattel) and very good quality nowadays, still only has 4 feet in Target when Lego has 10 times that (though I haven't counted). Until those clone brands get major retail presence in the US and the EU, they are just not a thread to LEGO at all.
  10. Thanks guys! I'll certainly watch for an official announcement. This year's pirate set was great
  11. I don't follow the news as closely as I should, but what is the 2021 Castle Creator themed set people are talking about? The blacksmith set or something else?
  12. What Space sets are coming via Ideas? Not being snarky, I haven't seen anything approved along those lines. Maybe I missed them?
  13. I'm sure everyone's aware of this polybag that came with a few books https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/lego-absolutely-everything-you-need-to-know-dorling-kindersley-publishing-staff/1125812563?ean=9781465471932 My local BN had three of the book on for $10 each. Online is still regular price. YMMV of course. I realize there's probly an actual "deals" section but this set is so niche I figured I'd post here instead.
  14. So it appears that Bionacle has won the 90th anniversary fan vote but the internet appears to think that Lego will make a Classic Space set instead (the #2 winner). As a classic space fan myself, this makes me very happy, but I haven't seen any talk of this over here. What do you guys think of this? And also wouldn't it be great to get a $200 Classic Space set similar to the Barracuda Bay set?
  15. Thanks guys. I still wanna know what the heck is up with my account (they sent me an email to my email address, but when I try to do a password reset the email never comes???) but at least I know if I can't fix it I'm only out $1.20 or so. If work is slow I'll call them and stay on hold maybe.
  16. I have a LEGO VIP account from a long time ago that I stopped using when I fell out of LEGO for a while. I got an email the other week saying that my 157 points were going to expire in January. However I can't seem to log into my account. I emailed LEGO and they never replied. I thought I might call on Monday and sit on hold and see what's up with my account, but if 157 points is only like $2, I might not bother. Can anyone tell me?
  17. So obviously there's the new Orange "classic space" guy in the latest book, when I went looking for that book at my local Barnes and Noble I found this book, with a "classic space" mini build: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/lego-absolutely-everything-you-need-to-know-dorling-kindersley-publishing-staff/1125812563 I realize this might not be the exact right place to post this, are these the only two "classic space" inspired things that have come out since the Lego Movie 2 benny sets? I don't check Lego stuff too often, just want to make sure I didn't miss anything else in the classic space style...
  18. So when is that Lego event that people are saying the pics of the summer sets will be shown?
  19. Still no pics of the Summer Space sets! Ugh!
  20. I hope we get pics from the upcoming toy fairs
  21. Wow, I didn't know those existed!
