So I've managed to pick up the entire LotR line with various walmart/target clearances except the largest $130 Helm's Deep castle, should we expect that set to stay in production through the rest of the year? I know I'll be able to grab it at the lego store once they restock but what are the odds Target/WM re-stock that set?

One other minor note that Cardinal doesn't seem to get (and one of the other posters alluded to) is that Free Speech has nothing to do with what is said in a private forum. It means (generally) that the government can't restrict speech. If you walk into a restaurant (lets say Denny's) and stand in the doorway announcing that their new Hobbit themed meals were only made because they want the movie to fail due to being associated with such horrible food, they'd have every right to ask you to leave. It has nothing to do with free speech. If, however, the government stopped you from publicly saying that our government is bad because of X, Y, or Z reason, *that* would violate your free speech.

Legends of Chima 2013

I have a co-worker who works part time at my local Lego store, he was assigned to take home the blue eagle set and build it, and he brought it into our work (normal office job) yesterday. I must say, I'm quite impressed with the build, and all the new parts. There was a bladed weapon with a light saber blade inside it that was especially nifty, and that new 2x2 "reverse" tile (flat tile with studs sitcking out of the bottom) with what looked like engine glowy parts printed on it. Needless to say, I'm really excited for this theme. -

So I found a T-shirt in a box today at Barnes & Noble with all the Batman figs from this year in it (it has the ones from the forthcoming Asylum set) but I don't recognice what I presume is Killer Croc? (the greed lizardy guy on the second row). Any idea if this is from a future set or if maybe they just needed to fill the space with a guy from the video game (I'm assuming?)... EDIT: Ok, i'm not sure why its sideways and it made me do a small version, but I can email the full size pic to anyone who wants a better look (or has a host). Just PM me your email address... -

Yeah, signing up for a credit card isn't a "deal" in the sense we're looking for on this thread... -

9.97? -
Can anyone tell what kind of tracks those are? The ones in the mine almost look like the "new" indy tracks that were also used in the funhouse set & the alien mother ship...

I'm with ^^^ If we have to end up with a bunch of one main character, at least its the one with the cool torso and the white hat, not another Johnny Depp unusable fig...

They do new clearance prices once a week, on the same day every week. Where I am it is Thursday, but I've heard that some stores do it wednesday night or friday morning. -

They'll get cheaper next summer when they're not normal stock anymore. These aren't "halloween" sets, they're a regular line. -
Topic pretty much covers it. Most forums (including this one) will send you an email when a new post is added to a thread you follow/subscribe to. The email usually includes a link to the first new post. This forum (post-upgrade) only sends you a link to the first page of said thread. Pre-upgrade there was a "new post" link. It seems like such a no-brainer I can't imagine the new software doesn't do it, I assume its just a setting somewhere on the back-end that's not set right. Could a mod/admin type look into this? Thanks

I can't tell with Bricklink's inventory issues at the moment, but is the printed tile on the headstone a new part? -
I'm glad everyone liked it! It was by far my favorite scene in the movie. And I did start it just messing around with the brick elements, to see what patterns would work. Some other minor things that might not be noticeable otherwise: The goat's pedestal is on two jumper tiles so that it can be at an angle, and Rex's one foot is on a small turntable (the 2x2 size) so that I could angle him differently. His other foot has a single 1/1 round tile holding it in place.

That's redeemable only on Amazon Local (their version of Groupon) not Amazon.com. (fyi) -
I watched Jurassic Park (actually all 3) in the same weekend I picked up Dino Defense HQ and after snapping a pic of Rexie with a goat in his mouth, I decided I had to build a place for him to chow down. Nothing fancy, but I had fun messing around with it, especially the varied plant life. Please click through to Flicker for more views/pictures. Here's a framed teaser, followed by one of the whole thing: Link to the photo set on Flicker

I found an 85% complete 1592 Town Square for $6 in a thrift store, spent about $15-$20 completing it on BL, then later flipped it on evilbay for $160 or so. That same summer I bought a mixed lot from CL that had a bunch of older Star Wars sets 99% complete and a 1/2 complete Flying Ninja fortress. I flipped the SW stuff for almost $300. I then mentally set aside that money and spent it all in the post Christmas clearance sales at Target and Walmart that year and got a TON of stuff on sale for 1/2 price or better; including 3x of the $80 PoP set ($40 each) and 5x of the $50 PoP set ($20 each), plus 8 of the Ostrich Race for $5 each, as well as single copies of almost the whole line of Space Police 3 and some misc other things. Those PoP sets were GREAT clearance part packs. All that tan, brown and nougat! What am I ever going to do with all those Dastans though! Lolz.

Ah, you're right. I knew it was one of those "A" stores.
