  1. There is a bell!! 8-o See: What kind of brick is the bottom portion of the bell? P
  2. Thanx Capt'n Green Hair :) I am currently making it down to the waterline of the exterior and try to complete the interior of gun deck and captain's quarters. My goal is to be complete enough to display at Brickworld in June 2008. Then i'd like to make the entire ship, even below the waterline. Below is a pic of how far down i'm building it. The tan line along the bottom most edge is about where the waterline is. For the bow, it has undergone some major reconstruction: I've got the prow done and a lot of the detailing. I'll need to get 4 16L white flex hoses to go around the yellow ice cube trays. Let me know whacha think P
  3. My my Capt'n You have been busy X-O I see you've used a lot of your MOC cannons (i think they were your design :-$ ) Completed cloning of links to Fort Esperance into Land-based MOC Index. :) That's a nice looking drawbridge ya got there mate *y* Nice work. P
  4. Added this ship to the Index of MOC Ships. I like the figurehead X-D : It looks familiar for some reason :-D Is there a certain way you "knotted" the rigging together? I'd be very interested to know exactly how you made the rigging so nice Great work! P
  5. Got this ship into the Index of MOC Ships. *y* P
  6. Feel free to make a progress thread of the HMS Cannonball if you like Capt. K ;-) What a nice port you have there Capt'n *y* that was a very nice upgrade :) Is that a church in the back right in the original pic of the 1st post? I saw a cannon in your BS folder and added it to Index of MOC Cannons. X-D Here's a link to the cannon: . I love cannons :) I didn't see your original lighthouse in the Index of Land Based MOCs 8-| so added the harbor and lighthouse to that index. :-$ P
  7. Yeah, they were freakin 4+ pirates :-X Hmm... what's worse, 4+ or Megabloks (sorry for cursing X-D )? I'm still gonna have to say 4+ is still better, cause the bricks can be mixed with my legos without any problems. ;-) P
  8. No one voted for me 8-o So I'll vote for mine :-P I feel better now X-D Congrats Fat Tony! *y* Did a real good job on your figurehead. P
  9. Kewl find chuck *y* Looks similar to the fantasy styled ships that SirNadjerahadid makes. (i don't think the name's spelt right :-$ ) Added it to the Ship Index.already in the index P
  10. Eh, I are retarded... *wacko* What's steampunk? :-$ P
  11. You know what. I don't understand why all these ppl are joining in the band wagon |-/ You ppl are all dorks ;-) I don't even like muppets that much and all of you have muppet avies but i'm a dork too X-D so can i join ya :-$ (BTW: if someone already has gonzo, let me know and i'll get another avie 8-| ) P
  12. You might be able to get away with the bottom gun deck having a straight yellow stripe (if you're going for a british ship again) and have the black right on top of the stripe slope in with slopes. The bottom gun decks don't seem to slope in nearly as much as the higher (in general) P
  13. Same here, I'd always open it and build it :) P Edit: MISB = Mint In Sealed Box ;-)
  14. Well here's the pic of the original set: The Peeron link The Wiki Article There are 2 USS Constellations that were sailing vessels, i'm pretty sure the lego version is one of the six original US frigates built in 1797, and not the one rebuilt in 1854. The image of the real thing: Yippie, another american ship Great way to introduce yourself Chenben *y* P
  15. Thanks for the tips, any suggestions for a setup of a sailing ship 6-7 feet long and 5 feet tall? 8-| It's not complete yet, but when it is i'd like to take really good pics like hinckley's. In reading about Sinnerton and Hinckleyville, i thought it would be nice to visit these towns. I just have one problem, do either of your towns have a port? My only mode of transportation right now is sailing ship. *pirate* Thanks, Phred
  16. Thank you Mr. jipay i mean Tiber :-P I'd vote for keeping him in the contest; it's definitely pushing the rules a bit. I might be more picky if this were an official contest with prizes and such. :-$ I know you asked B, but you got my opinion also :) P
  17. What do mean by planned ships? Do you mean having an actual ship's plans? I just build what i can with what bricks i have (whatever the color) :) and the count the amount of pretty colorful bricks i have so far :-$ and purchase those bricks (if i can afford it) :-/ and get a rough estimate of how many more i'd need :-| and include that amount in my next BL order :S and hope i can keep building between BL orders. X-D Depends on how much money you have, how much time you want to invest, how many bricks you have, how detailed/accurate you want to be. For instance with my USS Constitution, i figure it's going to be at least 2 years before the ship is completely built. And i have no idea how much i will have to spend on BL, but so far just for the Constitution i've spent almost $150 on bricks. but i'm going for super obsessive-compulsive accurately detailed though X-D NEVER! Too much work. :-P P
  18. The way i've seen most ships of the Napoleonic era are the widest at and a little below the water line. So gun deck, spar deck, and some berth deck walls should have the tumblehome effect. You can see this pretty well on a pic of a model of the USS Constitution (a large frigate). Also, you can see pretty easily the tumblehome effect on this wiki-pic of the HMS Victory (1st-rate ship-of-the-line). It seems that some small frigates and smaller ships don't have a distinct tumblehome effect. For instance: In this model of the HMS Sophie (a 14-gun brig), there is only a little tumblehome on the stern and not at the rest of the ship. Hope that helps. What type of ship do you want to make? P
  19. That would be t'morrow fer me mateys :) Mr. Phes, are you in the future compared to most of us? X-D P
  20. Same here! It's the only set that i've still kept all the pieces separate from the rest of my collection. I love my UCS ISD *wub* Next best thing ever is getting the Black Seas Barracuda! *y* Tis a grand little brig with fine lines *pirate* Lately what i've been impressed with is the return of the classic sword and all the new castle weapons :'-) I have very much enjoyed the classic sword and the skelie sword *skull* P
  21. My biggest disappointment too! My second biggest disappointment. I very rarely use any fleshies, and stopped getting sets that have them. Also, i can't stand BIONICLE :-X Some ppl may say "it saved TLC when they weren't doing so hot" or something like that. |-/ If anything, i think Bionicle has overly tainted almost every theme with new bionicle-type bricks >:-( On a positive note.. P
  22. I'm kind of lazy and i don't like saying something i don't like with so many syllables when one will do :-) ROWN! OSMOSIS?!? :-D I don't get it :-$ P
  23. Entry entried :-P Captain Green Hair, you've got very nice boobies :-D Looks like it's gonna be a tough competition with all of these creative figureheads, but i know ppl will vote for the correct one... (not mine :-D ) P
