Mr. Tiber how could you double post? :-P You better hope a moderator doesn't find out ;-) j/k For realism, I'll just comment on the compass cause that comes to mind first X-D I don't know if you can squeeze another stud length into your compass or not |-/ but i suggest having something in front of the compass to designate where the front of the ship is. Here's what i did on the DDW... I've got a with a in front of the compass so the navigator can easily tell which direction the front of the ship is moving. P

Good point Norro This would have made a great lego set indeed! *y* Added these two forts into the Land Based MOC Index. Good work Lord Beckett P

I'd say this should be a MOC thread cause it's a discussion about how to make a MOC ship. Same with Captain Zuloo's new thread about tips on how to make a stern.. I look forward to seeing which type of mast Captain Zuloo has implemented in his MOCs. Whether by what bricks he has available :-D or which method he likes. *y* One method of mast construction that i'd like to try, is using "X-wing Engines" for masts with a 3 stud diameter. I've never tried it, but i think i may for the USS Constitution bottom portion of the masts. P

Aye matey err Mr. Tiber X-D This MOC already has its own thread located right here. ;-) I don't know if you want to merge the threads or close this one, but my superpowers are limited so i can't do either. P

Thanx Mr. Tiber *y* I added this ship to Index fo MOC Ships. I'm glad you found this pic :) P

Nice work so far Bj

This was the convention i was thinking: paladin, you've got a constitution as well as the bellerophon? has their been a thread about your constitution? P
-
I never made a MLCAD model of this cannon. Just kind of tinkered with my bricks and used a black R2D2 body with a black barrel for the carronade. Need 20 of these guys for the Spar Deck. This probably isn't the final version though. P

How do You convert your models to 1:45 scale?
Capn Frank replied to Capn Frank's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanx for making a link and sharing this website Z :-) It seems real handy to try different scales for mini MOCs MF scale or whatever scale you'd like to make your MOCs. I wonder how official this 1:45 scale is? 8-| P -
Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa Mosaics
Capn Frank replied to SirNadroj's topic in Pirate MOCs
Great Mosaics SirNadroj *y* They definitely works of art Hey B or Mr. Tiber, should this MOC be placed in one of the Indexes and if so where? P -
Hey Sah, Would you consider this a new diorama or an updated version the old one? Just so i know how to update the indexes :) P
-
Looking forward to its completion *y* How'd you make that spyglass? Did you use a lightsaber handle? You plan on showing off you MOC at any Lego Conventions next summer? :) P

Look what I just got - Report your latest Pirate LEGO acquisitions
Capn Frank replied to V()()D()()'s topic in LEGO Pirates
Thanx for transferring those pics B *y* so i can put this MOC in the Index of MOC Ships. Kind of an eye-sore though :-P P -
Hey Joey, Does this new version have some Tumblehome effect? P

It was the USS Constellation that was a legend, not the Constitution ;-) There's a Thread on that Set's right here. *y* I was home for the weekend and was able to make a quick vig on the carronade. As i may have mentioned already, the version of the carronade currently on the Constitution isn't the same type of carronades used in the War of 1812. This type of carronade is supposed to be mounted to the ship at the front instead of being on a four-wheeled carriage. (in case ppl can count, this isn't exactly a vig cause it's on a 8x9 plate X-D ) P

Nope, i don't think otherwise, Just wondering :) P

I'd love for you to elaborate how and where this Lego scale calculator works at the How to Convert Lego Forum. P

I guess it does seem a little big compared to the HMS Victory The victory's beam is 50 ft and Legopirate's ship has a beam of roughly 60 studs (or 61.8 ft). I just never looked at that closely and figured that a first-rate would be as huge as Legopirate's X-D I wonder if Spanish ships had a larger beam though, but i have no idea really 8-| P

Me either |-/ Hey B, Are those the only rows that need to be completed are 4J's and Sinners? P
-
I can't believe you're double posting Sir Norman Ray! :-P Oh wait... 8-o ...you brought pictures so it's ok X-D That's a splendid growth you have in your army :-D Thanx for keeping us updated on your increasingly ginormous army, *y* P

For the Standard English and Metric discussion: I think We Americans still use Standard English simply because we're used to it; that's all. Yes, i do think Metric is better For the Scale of the Treasure Map: Sorry mate, nothing to add X-D Just a kind reminder and request Hairy: Please be more mindful in the future as to which account is logged in while you're at EB. *y* It can be very confusing if this happens in a thread where both of you are posting there. :S Thanx, P

I found it in the forums! X-D Here's a link to Legopirate's Ship and a link to his Brickshelf Folder. Also my recommendation for brick-built masts would be to use 2x2 round bricks like this: Then for added strength, add axle bricks, 4L bars, or 6.6L bars like these respectively: but i don't recommend using those colors :-D P
