  1. My main issue with the size is that it loses a lot of the sleekness and detail of the 2009 model. That AAT might have been oversized but it captured the look of the vehicle perfectly.
  2. First look at the new Quinjet from AOU.
  3. An Ewok battlepack would be cool, or at least a combination of Ewoks and Endor Rebels. The battlepack I want to see most though is a Naboo Forces one. Its impossible to army build the Security Guard at an affordable price when he's only available in the MTT and Lego still hasn't made a Naboo Royal Guard yet. I also wouldn't mind a new TIE Fighter Collection set. The TIE Bomber and Interceptor are long overdue for a remake and while the recent versions of the classic fighter and TIE Advanced still hold up, they'd look even better with the new windshield from the Inquisitor's ship.
  4. I really hope we see a few X-Men sets in 2016, especially with the number of fan favourite characters that are going to show up in the next movie. Only getting one set every two years isn't enough.
  5. Another generic Gungan, although the costume on this new figure is the same one Captain Tarpals wears.
  6. I have zero interest in seeing Agents of SHIELD sets. (Robot) Zola would be pretty cool to have as a minifigure though.
  7. Disapointing its over but not surprising. It really begs the question what were they thinking with that second wave giving us a bunch of sets not many people asked for. Whats sad is that Lego isn't the first company to prematurely end a Middle Earth line either.
  8. Shadow Troopers Very nice minifigures. The Stormtroopers look amazing in that metalic black colour. I like the design of the speeder too. Imperial Troop Transport Might pick up one, but don't see the point in army building the Rebels Stormtroopers when the movie figure has a superior design. Geonosis Troopers Nice walker. The minifigures look good but aren't really that exciting when they aren't based on an official source. Senate Commandos Nice to have some minifigures that only appeared in TCW updated to fit in with the movie figures. Hopefully this paves the way for other characters from the show to be released without the stylized printing. The turret looks good as well. Shame they missed the chance at including a robed Senate Guard from the movies. Ezra's Speeder Bike I like the colours of Ezra's bike, but the set as a whole seems a bit underwelming for the price. Sabine looks good but I wish her lipstick was a bit darker though. It kind of defeats the purpose of having it if it blends into the skin tone too much. The last Padme figure had this same problem. T-16 Skyhopper Huge improvement over the original set. The Tusken Raider looks fantastic! Hopefully the head will be hard plastic. The pilot looks nice too. AAT Looks a bit better in the second picture, but still a bit too small for my liking. TIE Advanced Prototype One of the best designed TIE Fighters yet! I love how round it looks as well as the new windshield. Makes me want to see the other TIEs from the films updated in this style. Inquisitor looks awesome and its nice to have another Imperial Officer variant. Bit strange the TIE Pilot doesn't have leg printing though considering the Micro Fighter one did. Battle Droid Troop Carrier Unexpected but a VERY welcome surprise. 14 Battle Droids is an awesome deal and the carrier itself looks fantastic! The new Gungan Soldier is awesome - even better that its based on a different Gungan uniform rather than a remake of the 2011 minifigure so both versions are compatable. AT-DP Kallas and the pilots both look awesome. Very nice helmet designs. The walker itself looks pretty similar to the prelim pics. Micro Fighters Can't say this year's line up is very appealling aside from the Snowspeeder. A bit disapointed they changed the colour of the helmet.
  9. It wasn't a retailer exclusive for any other country so I'm not sure why Australia would be the exception. We're still only 4 days into the month so I'd give it another week or so at least. DOFP isn't coming out on DVD until the 15th.
  10. Not all special head molds are made of rubber. Minifigures like Bossk, Admiral Ackbar, Greedo, the Biths, Ithorian, Geonosians and Protocol Droids all have plastic heads.
  11. I don't think so. It looks like the belt is printed lower and doesn't curve around the torso like the SDCC one. The dark green portions of the suit also look like they don't have the stripe textures.
  12. Thanks for the pictures just2good. This is shaping up to be the best DC wave in a long time.
  13. Hopefully Ventress will have the traditional Lego printing and not the big anime eyes like before, although I wouldn't mind her face was based of her modern redesign from TCW. Her original look from the microseries has been obsolete for some time now.
  14. I still haven't seen it in any stores yet. Its possible they could be holding off the release until next month when DOFP comes out on DVD, but thats just speculation on my part.
  15. Don't forget the Quinjet has also been completely redesigned for the new movie. I'd be surprised if we didn't see that show up next year as well.
  16. Unfortunately the momentum is dropping fast and its limping on with about 10 signatures a day. It could really do with more exposure right about now.
  17. Everything except the microfighters are using the Stormtrooper packaging. Even the non-Rebels sets like the AAT.
  18. Thanks for the review. The minifigures look fantastic and are definitely the highlight of the set. Love that shot of the three lady Elves together. Just a shame its one heroine short (the best one too at that ) Looking forward to seeing how the set itself looks when combined with the other two Dol Guldur sets.
  19. This is one of the best Superhero waves yet! Every single one of those sets looks amazing! Great selection of characters too. Green Arrow is a nice surprise.
  20. Glad we're getting a new Ventress. I'm curious what version her face is going to be based on. The old goth look is more accurate to the microseries, but her modern appearance from TCW is the one thats canon and the look most probably assossiate with her character these days. Either way hopefully the stylized anime printing is gone for good and she'll be using Lego's traditional style like the rest of the wave. Good to see we're definitely getting Sabine too.
  21. Its the same Cyclops from the video game. Still wish we had gotten this version over the one in the X-Jet.
  22. Rogue, Nightcrawler and Angel look amazing! Plus 90s Cyclops and Phoenix Jean! Comic versions of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch! I hate the way Lego teases us with all those X-Men characters.
  23. Neither the Hailfire Droid or the AAT have the "New Minifigure" label like the other sets do. Seems like a wasted opportunity not to throw in some new characters.
  24. The Rebel sets are definitely the highlights but I'm not sure I'm going to pick many of them up until I've seen enough of the show. Army builders are nice but nothing I want to stock up on. Wish we could see more of Anakin's Starfighter and the Hailfire Droid. The T-16 is a nice improvement and its nice to finally have a Tusken Raider again (although two would've been better). The AAT is the biggest disapointment of the wave for me. The whole set is ridiculously tiny, even for its price tag. It looks to be even worse value than the Phantom. The lack of new characters is also a sore point. Overall a pretty underwelming wave. There's a couple of nice sets but I don't think I'll be spending too much next year. The complete absense of female characters is also pretty disapointing. After this year's poor line up, I hope this isn't going to become a trend in the Star Wars line.
  25. The beauty of Lego is that even if you don't like the design of a set you can easily change it to whatever you want.
