  1. Skeleton Crew has a display set up at D23. I don't expect to see anymore sets based on this show but it would still be nice to get that peg leg droid and the wolf man pirate. Hopefully we get a trailer later today.
  2. I couldn't tell what piece he was using in the leaked pic but the current hairpiece they're using on Hawkeye would be perfect if it came in brown. I think its a better fit than the pompadour hairpiece which looks similar but is a little too long on top. Speaking of hairpieces I noticed Magneto's hair from the X-Jet is now available in dark red in the Nightmare Before Christmas set (the previous figure from the Disney CMF line used a different flatter mold). I'm curious if we'll end up seeing this one reused on Jean Grey in the mansion. While I like Firestar's as an option I think this one also matches her look from the show. Hopefully we can at least get Apocalypse by the time Season 2 rolls around. Both he and Juggernaut really need to come as big figs to be done justice. Bastion would have been a good inclusion for the mansion. Hopefully Lego can find a place for him somewhere in the theme next year while he's still relevant. Once the show moves past Season 1 I think the chances of him getting a minifigure are going to decrease. I think you've caught up on everything. Its just been the X-Mansion leak, the rumored minifigure selection and the release of the summer wave sets in stores. I don't think we'll be seeing any extensions to the X-Mansion. If Lego releases anything like the Danger Room they're likely to be as stand alone sets completely unrelated to the modular building. Unfortunately we haven't heard news of anymore X-Men sets for next year aside from a vague hint something related to Wolverine may be coming with no guarantee its even minifigure related (could be a buildable mask for all we know)
  3. I don't mind getting Morph for the sake of completing the 97 team but he's easily my least anticipated character from the show. It's a shame we don't appear to be getting Sinister with the mansion. There's a serious lack in X-Men villains at the moment besides Magneto and they already have the perfect cape available to reuse from Ronan's minifigure. We got Thor in 76018 Hulk Lab Smash back in 2014:
  4. I'd love to see Arkham Asylum get the full modular treatment after seeing how well they've pulled off the X-Mansion. The last one came out in 2017 so we're definitely due for a new one. I'd like a Wayne Manor set as well someday but I do think Arkham has potential for a more interesting interior and a stronger character selection. The Avengers Compound does seem like a more realistic option for next year than Oscorp does. Its been done in play scale enough times before and between the Civil War Airport Battle and Endgame Portal set there's plenty of figures available to be reused. The one thing I think holds it back is that it feels too soon for another Avengers themed modular with the Avengers Tower not even a year old yet. Might be better to wait until that one is closer to retirement. I'll be happy if that ends up being the final line up for the set. Its a solid start to the X-Men and hits a lot of the core characters. Hopefully any missing ones like Sinister, Nightcrawler, Cable and Jubilee can find their way into the line next year either in the summer wave or a new Marvel CMF series.
  5. The irony is people were saying this exact same thing a couple years ago about how a D2C X-Mansion was never going to happen. X-Men sets don't sell. Their popularity is at a low point. People only care about Spider-Man and the Avengers now. They will never get a D2C until a full MCU movie reboot with a brand new cast happens first. X-Men characters aren't household names. Wolverine is associated with R rated content now. The last few X-Men movies flopped. Lego will never make a set based on a cartoon. Every excuse in the book was thrown out against them and yet here we are with a modular X-Mansion just 3 months away from release. No waiting to "prove themselves" with multiple MCU appearances or releasing a small play scale X-Mansion to test the waters first. We're heading straight for a D2C modular building. Moments like this is why I would rather keep an open mind towards the future instead of writing off every possibility that doesn't fall under Batman, Spider-Man or the MCU.
  6. Jubilee looks amazing! I know those Fortnite designs are exclusive to the game but I'd love to see a figure of her with that level of detail in the next CMF series. I also think that minifigure design for Colossus works far better than the big figure does from the Lego Marvel video game. He's big but he's not Hulk sized. The shoulder pads do help in giving him that extra height. I'd love an Oscorp modular but at the moment I'm not seeing anything indicating as to why its the most likely option for next year outside of fans wishing it to happen. In regards to DC Batman is always going to outsell Superman no matter what. There is no doubt of that. Its why if we were to get a hypothetical Daily Planet set it makes more sense to do it alongside the release of a new movie while public interest in the character is at it at an all time high. More interest = more sales. Its the reason why the Sanctum Sanctorum was released alongside Multiverse of Madness and didn't come out a year or two later after the Avengers Tower. Certain brands need the cross media synergy to maintain consumer interest. As for the other two I think Asgard stands a chance at happening some day as its arguably the second most iconic location in the MCU following the Avengers Tower, but I can't really see Mt Bashenga getting a D2C set. Outside of the panther statue there's not a lot that makes the location stand out visually and would probably require a lot of creative liberties that mixes and matches other parts of Wakanda. I don't think any overlap would matter that much. The next superhero modular won't be out until at least mid year at the earliest. If Lego sticks with the November release date that the Avengers Tower and X-Mansion have then you'd be lucky to even find the Bugle left in stock by that point.
  7. I don't think cinematic universes play much of a deciding factor in whether the Daily Planet gets made or not. It ultimately comes down to how confident Lego are in Superman as a character first and foremost and whether they feel he's marketable enough to carry such a set. In their eyes the release of a blockbuster movie could be the perfect time to do so while public interest in the character is at an all time high. There's no rule stating that a potential Daily Planet set would have to be based on the new film specifically either. Lego might opt for a broader approach that takes inspiration from Superman's legacy as a whole. Right now I'm still 50/50 on which direction it could go. Marvel is a stronger brand than DC at the moment is but Superman still eclipses the Fantastic Four when it comes to popularity that it could really go either way
  8. I still think the next modular building will come down to either the Baxter Building or Daily Planet. With Superman and Fantastic Four both set to be the two biggest superhero films of 2025 it makes sense to capitalize on the hype while they're both relevant in the public eye. If DC does get the next modular building I do think the Helicarrier could be a realistic alternative for Marvel. Its been 10 years since the last version came out and is likely to get a remake at some point. Unfortunately I can't see it coming with a huge number of minifigures. If anything it will probably be around 5 on a display stand again. As for Oscorp I think it will happen some day, just not next year. 2026 might be a better year for it since they potentially have the hype of a new Spider-Man movie to ride on.
  9. Hopefully Anakin is based on his early Clone Wars costume. The existing minifigures have never done it justice with the wrong use of colors. Sure he wasn't wearing it in the Season 5 episode where Ahsoka's Interceptor appeared but Clone Wars sets have often played it loose when it comes to screen accuracy that it shouldn't really matter. If it does wind up being the ROTS version can Anakin finally get an accurate hairpiece for a change?
  10. I still don't understand why every other movie theme has no problem depicting ghosts as solid minifigures yet Star Wars is somehow dependent on the use of transparent elements in order to release them. Even if they solve the issues surrounding the torso and hip joints there will still be other challenges to deal with such as working around Yoda's rubber head mold. It would be much easier to just forget about using transparent pieces and use light blue as a base color instead. I wouldn't mind if they also gave Thanos a removable helmet for the Portals diorama and brought back the arm printing from 76131. We're also still missing the MK 4 Iron Man suit so I'm hoping that will be one of the new figures included.
  11. Iceman looks like he might be a mix of light blue and trans pieces but its hard to tell for sure without clearer pics. Hopefully there are a couple more characters in the mansion that we don't know about yet. The leaks for the Avengers Tower last year only mentioned around 20-25 of the characters included but there were a few extras that we didn't find out about until the official images dropped.
  12. I think that list emphasizes why I would rather see Lego drop the live action shows altogether for the next CMF series and focus solely on the animated content. If those characters are the best Marvel has to offer I don't see them selling well at all. Between Spider-Man, X-Men 97, Eyes of Wakanda and What If there's a much stronger selection of characters they can pull from that will have a much broader appeal. Glad to hear we're finally getting this version of Cap. Not really interested in the buildable logo but hopefully it gets reused down the line in a First Avenger set. Curious if the other characters will be new variants as well. Could be a good opportunity for an Endgame or Iron Man 2 variant of Black Widow. I thought it was already confirmed Ross wasn't appearing in Thunderbolts. I'd be surprised if that film ends up getting more sets than the Fantastic Four does. It doesn't seem like the type of movie that will have much in the way of set potential beyond generic City vehicles. I don't have high hopes for Valentina getting a minifigure either after the last few MCU films excluded some of the main characters from their sets. In addition to the Fantasticar and Galactus I think the Baxter Building could easily be on the cards. If not as the next modular building it could alternatively be done in the style of the AOU Avengers Tower as the flagship set of the wave.
  13. The X-Mansion doesn't look to be as tall as the Museum which would account for less parts. There's also the possibility of it using large wall panels in some areas like the Sanctum Sanctorum did. Looks to me like the head is brick built made of a 4x2 cylinder and a 4x4 dome brick on top.
  14. LEGOMarvelLeaks subreddit.
  15. There's a slightly better image out there (still incredibly dark and blurry though - would it kill them to take a clear photo for once?) The set definitely looks to be a modular building with the standard baseplate and sidewalk. Cyclops has leg printing but no dual molding unfortunately. Spotted Rogue at the entrance, Professor X on the balcony above with the yellow hover chair and Iceman just in front of the Sentinel's left arm. Hopefully there are more characters included in the set that are not pictured on the front box art. I remember not everyone was mentioned in the initial leaks for Avengers Tower. I'm curious to know if there's also anyone on top of the dome hidden under the set number. It looks like Gambit and Storm are attacking somebody up there.
  16. For me it all depends on whether we're getting anymore sets next year or not. If a potential CMF series is our only shot at getting anymore X-Men characters for the near future then Nightcrawler, Jubilee and Mr. Sinister are my top picks for taking those spots with Bastian and Cable following after that. Forge, Bishop and Sunspot would be the lowest priorities for me that I'm happy for them to be covered last.
  17. I second this. If the Leviathan can get a solo release following the Avengers Tower there's no reason the same can't apply for the Sentinel. Hopefully the X-Men are also able to score a few spots if we get another Marvel CMF series next year.
  18. Assuming this is real (maydayfigs is claiming it is in the comment section) the build for the mansion looks a lot better than it did in the preliminary image. It appears to have more depth to it rather than just being a flat wall and the dome on top really does a lot to improve the look. The shape and scale of the Sentinel looks well done as well. For the characters that definitely looks like Gambit on the top left. The staff and power blast are a giveaway. I think the figure below Storm might be Jean Grey as the hairpiece appears to be the one Scarlet Witch and Wonder Woman use. Its too long to be Rogue's but it has more volume than the one Magneto uses. I'm judging from the pose that the figure on the bottom right is Cyclops about to shoot his optic blast. Edit: Wasn't sure what was supposed to be at the foot of the Sentinel at first but I can see the motorcycle there now.
  19. Glad its confirmed comic Avengers sets are making a comeback. The builds may not be great but at least they offer something new. The Infinity Saga feels like its been milked dry at this point aside from a couple of neglected solo films. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they pull Ultron off and like the suggestion of him using Ant-Man/Firefly's helmet. For anyone that missed it - Comic Vision is also featured in the next Lego Disney+ special. Hopefully he gets a physical release sometime in the next year.
  20. As long as one of them gets the next D2C spot I'm happy with either option. Its too bad we can't get both next year. The Daily Planet releasing around May and the Baxter Building around November (or vise versa) would be an absolute win, but I admit that's pretty unrealistic and understand Lego not wanting to flood the market with too many modular buildings in one year. Hopefully there's additional characters included. I second that this is a good place for the Leader to show up. I'd love to get that comic Vision minifigure featured in the new Lego Disney+ special as well.
  21. I have no problems with The Thing being a regular minifigure. Groot and Korg worked well at that scale and it will be much easier having a minifigure be able to interact with a potential Fantasticar or Baxter Building than a big fig would. Speaking of the Baxter Building I really like the sleek design they've gone with for the film. Hopefully we get a set of it in some form next year. A modular building would be preferable but I'd settle for a playscale version like the earlier Avengers Tower sets.
  22. Sigh... another Endgame Final Battle and Hall of Armor? The Infinity Saga sets really are becoming stale at this point. Fair enough they should have a place in the line each year but there's hardly any variety anymore with the same characters and scenes being recycled over and over while the number of sets we are getting makes it feel like they're eating up the majority of the Marvel theme. Not getting too excited just yet. After the Jango Fett leak I'm leaning towards this one being a buildable mask rather than anything minifigure related.
  23. Why wouldn't they? Rex and Cody's helmets were released together in the same wave. Two Mandalorians helmets doing the same isn't that big of a stretch. There are enough differences in the design and color pallet for Jango and Bo-Katan's helmets to stand apart from each other.
  24. I'd rather have some character variety over three generic pilots. There's more to the prequel era than just clones and the other characters should be represented too. Its been far too long since we've had a Jedi like Plo Koon or Kit Fisto in a set.
  25. I'll settle for just two - Galactus and a Sentinel. As long as we get both of those next year I don't care who they pick for the third option. Scarlet Witch has had a massive surge in popularity ever since Infinity War and WandaVision that its reached the point where she's now on par (if not surpassing) Black Widow as Marvel's most popular heroine. Even among the male heroes she's been a massive fan favorite throughout the Multiverse Saga. I can understand why they would include her here.
