LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

I don't mind getting the Kamino facility. The Republic Escape Pod would've been a better build but I rather get the red shirt clone cadets from AOTC over three recycled Boba Fett minifigures. I wonder if we'll start getting any set reveals for the May Star Wars wave next week? -
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

2024 was a decent start to the X-Men but I feel we're only getting the bare minimum out of it. There's still a number of core team members missing and we still can't get any other villains besides Magneto. Its hard to be excited when the momentum has suddenly grinded to a halt. We have an oversaturation of phoned in Infinity Saga sets but can't even get a single X-Men set this year? Not even a cheap low risk one? The poor reception to both the X-Jet's price tag and the execution of the X-Mansion isn't helping matters either as both seem to have really put a lot of people off altogether. At this point there's not much left to be hyped about. We can hope Lego throws us a bone when Season 2 of X-Men 97 comes around but that isn't a guarantee. Same goes for the Fox X-Men depending on how big or small their role is in Doomsday. -

With the number of X-Men they've announced so far surely Storm, Jean and Rogue would also have to be in it. They'd be foolish to leave them out. Outside of set photos and the identity of Marvel's D2C is there anything else that's still left to be revealed for this year? -

I wouldn't completely rule Andor out. We're still getting sets from Ahsoka and its not like the show has much else beyond the Fondor Haulcraft and new TIE Fighter variant. Rogue One is never going to get a full wave of sets again but I think there's still a chance something could be on the cards next year for the film's 10th anniversary. It really comes down to whether Lucasfilm is planning any cross brand promotion to celebrate it across its different merchandise partners. I think the AT-ACT would be the perfect choice for something like that if it wasn't for the classic AT-AT appearing in the Mandalorian & Grogu movie, and between the two the latter seems the more likely to be released next year. I actually wouldn't mind a Battle of Scarif set in the style of Yavin IV and Vader's Castle though. Would be an easy set to cover the whole Rogue One crew, reuse Krennic and K2-SO and throw in a couple Imperial troopers. -
Lego does celebrate anniversaries for individual Star Wars movies but that's only because its part of a larger cross brand promotion that comes directly under Lucasfilm, hence why other companies like Hasbro will use the same anniversary branding on their products. Outside of that Lego doesn't really focus too much on anniversaries that exist outside of their product portfolio.

Lothlorien feels too much like a B-tier location to warrant such a large D2C set this soon. It lacks the iconography of Minas Tirith, Helms Deep, Edoras and Orthanc. It would be a nice set to have eventually - but only once the bigger locations have been covered first. It would be nice to get some smaller display pieces though. Balin's Tomb, the Mirror of Galadriel, Amon Hen, Weathertop and the Argonath would be some good options for celebrating FOTR's anniversary.

Plo Koon's new head mold is a huge improvement over the old one. Hopefully this paves the way for more Jedi to be revisited like Kit Fisto and Shaak Ti in the coming years. I do wish the astromech droid included the full body as well. The Night Trooper battle pack is fine. Its nice to see the Death Trooper helmet back but this isn't really something I'm looking to army build. I would have preferred getting a full sized shuttle with Enoch and the Great Mothers instead to complete the Ahsoka cast. Not really a fan of the yellow AT-RT in the clone battle pack but those sets usually end up becoming spare parts anyway. That's what I thought. If Krennic is in the Death Star there's no reason why Galen couldn't be included either. I can't see Lego leaving out the Death Troopers either when they've already brought back the helmet mold for the Night Trooper battle pack. Both versions of Slave I are confirmed to be based on AOTC. We really do need a new Aurra Sing though. It wouldn't be too hard to include her in a remake of Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter or Cad Bane's Speeder. I'm surprised Hondo hasn't showed up in any of the live action Disney+ shows yet. -

Its still too early for me to get hyped up about this film mostly because it sounds like its relying too heavily on cameos and fan service over storytelling. And of the announced cast I feel like I already own a lot of these characters in Lego already (or soon will in the Fantastic Four's case) The only draws in the sets for me would be the inclusion of US Agent, Red Guardian and the Fox X-Men, although my preference would be for more X-Men 97 characters and hope we still get some sets to tie-in with Season 2 rather than the show being ignored altogether because of their inclusion in Doomsday. -

Unfortunately the main issue holding back both characters is that GWP sets don't include new molds. The only way we're getting these two is in a proper retail set. On the bright side we are finally getting a new Ventress figure after a decade long absence so hopefully she can open the door for more TCW villains to show up over the coming years including Aurra and Talzin. -

I thought the compartment looked like it was 8 studs long but I could be mistaken. I do wish we would get more Rogue One sets. The AT-ACT would be awesome but I don't see that happening anytime soon, especially if 2026 brings us a new AT-AT for the Mandalorian and Grogu movie. I'm still glad we got Saw last year though and seeing the return of K2-SO, Krennic and the Death Troopers this year. I'm curious if Galen also ends up being included in the UCS Death Star. The interior space on the old U-Wing wasn't great. There was very little head space and both the turret and hinge for the sliding door didn't really help matters. The previous Andor set did surprisingly make the most of its limited interior space so hopefully the new U-Wing has taken some inspiration from that build. I thought that had already been established with leakers confirming the inclusion of Jango without arm printing and a Kaminoan minifigure (I'm hoping its Lama Su this time rather than a recycled Taun We or generic Kaminoan) The GWP is an unexpected choice but I like it. Only downside is that is that revisiting the Boba Fett arc has now really gotten me in the mood for updated minifigures of Aurra Sing and Hondo Ohnaka. Perhaps Lego could revisit Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter some day and include Aurra as the villain of that set? -
It looks like its going to be a close call between these two entries. They're definitely getting the most engagement out of the five submissions. I'm not really a fan of Buffy getting a second entry though. Having two identical projects by the same author feels like its rigging the game here. It has its chance in the first round and it was up to the fans to decide whether it made it through or not. If it lost and they want to do the set anyway just get the license for it under Icons, but at least give the other projects a fair chance.

I'd argue the Great Mothers are an even bigger glaring omission from Ahsoka than Enoch is. They're the whole reason why Thrawn has a zombie army in the first place. We really need one more Ahsoka set that can cover all four of these characters. -
Half of those molds are completely unnecessary. There's ZERO reason to bring back Thorin, Fili and Kili's hairpiece when Lego already has CMF Aquaman/Endgame Thor's hairpiece in production which looks more accurate to those three characters than their original hairpiece did. Dori's braids are practically identical to Morgan Elsbeth's that it makes more sense to just recolor her hairpiece rather than resurrect an old mold from 13 years ago. Gloin's old mold is the most generic of the lot and can easily be substituted for the same beard/hair combo Gandalf uses in Rivendell. Balin could also easily be done combining the Snow White beard above with General Dodonna's hairpiece with printed sideburns to help the transition. Dwalin would likely use the Santa beard Professor Flitwick is using now. Even Bifur could probably get away with using existing parts and just having axe shard printed on his face instead like Elrond's crown was. Really the only characters that actually need new molds are Nori, Oin, Bofur and Bombur.

This is shaping up to be the best year for Lego Spider-Man in a long while. They're really going all out with number of fresh characters we're getting. Nice to also finally have the real MJ back in a Lego set after so long. The F4 trailer has me hyped for the Galactus set. Can't wait for pictures to come out. I still wish Lego would surprise us with a modular Baxter Building in November but I've accepted Arkham has most likely taken that slot for the year. -
It was originally created for the Series 15 CMF Queen but has also been reused on the Calamity Drone (Lego Movie) and Hermione (Harry Potter). My preference would be for the Witch-King to have his own set, but if he must be included in Minas Tirith you cannot have him appear in the set without Eowyn. The two need to be released together to recreate the duel. Leaving her out of Minas Tirith so she can be released later in Helms Deep or Edoras isn't really an acceptable solution as it skips over her armored costume which is both integral to the duel and her most iconic look in the trilogy. It would also be a shame if Minas Tirith didn't include Aragorn and Arwen from the coronation scene at the end of the movie.

Hopefully the next time we get Season 1 Anakin he has the correct colors for his costume. It would also be nice to see the heroes paired with a villain more frequently like Obi-Wan and Ventress are about to in the V-19. Dooku and Grievous are both overdue for another appearance. Other recurring villains from the series like Season 1 Cad Bane, Aurra Sing, Pre Vizsla and Savage Opress could also use a much needed remake. -
Rosmerta's hairpiece looks too big and wild to me. I think this one would be a much better choice for both Rosie and Lobelia. IT'S ABOUT TIME! Feels like we've been waiting a lifetime for Minas Tirith to happen.

I hope the image Fateful used for his post isn't implying we're getting the Phase I version of Bly. I'd much prefer to be getting the Phase II look from from ROTS. -

My ideal choice would be the Baxter Building but with Arkham likely taking the modular spot for this year I think the more realistic option is going to be a SHIELD Helicarrier remake. -
I disagree. Bane wasn't really that big in the film to warrant a big fig. He was closer in scale to the average bodybuilder than a giant like the Hulk. A minifigure like the 2012 version would work perfectly fine in this situation. A comic version on the other hand would work well as a big fig but I'm afraid that ship has sailed. At least we got the Lego Batman Movie figure.
-
I second this. You can't have Ivy breaking Freeze out of Arkham without Bane. I wouldn't mind Batgirl being included either. Even though she was never present at Arkham in the films it would be still nice to get the full cast of both Schumacher films, especially if there are no plans to revisit them further beyond this set.

The only problem I have with getting so many clones is that we're not getting much else from the Prequels or Clone Wars. 2008-2015 had the right balance between clone army building and having a wide variety of other characters from that era. -

I hope not. After seeing the trailer and concept art from the show I have zero interest in getting any sets from it. I prefer Lego just sticks with the classic character designs from the comics. -
