  1. Hair down would be my choice. I think it would translate better into a Lego minifigure than the ponytail would. My preference would be the hairpiece Firestar uses in the Daily Bugle.
  2. The Bad Batch sets didn't seem to do well in stores around here. The Justifier in particular has been a huge shelfwarmer even with the half price discounts. The figure list was first leaked by a member of the PromoBricks team and corroborated by both Foggy Fate and Brick Clicker. I think its safe to assume its legitimate. I can understand the lack of band members with the set as Max Rebo was the only one seen aboard the Sail Barge in the film. It would make more sense for Sy Snootles and Lyn Me to come with Jabba's Palace instead. Still was a missed opportunity not including Yak Face, Tessek or Ree Yees though.
  3. I think it could go either way with Leia. It would be nice to get a movie accurate hairpiece again but with Jabba and Salacious Crumb eating away at the set's budget she is one of the first characters they could cut corners on to save costs. I think Bib Fortuna will almost certainly be reused from Boba Fett's Throne Room.
  4. Pretty good line up overall. Shame there's no Last Alliance characters but I'm happy with the additions of the Nazgul, Gollum and Mouth of Sauron to the set. I don't mind that they've skipped the Witch-King as I'd rather get him in the duel with Eowyn.
  5. I'm glad we're getting a bigger selection of characters than what was originally suggested. Pretty solid line up overall but I am a little disappointed that we're not getting Ree-Yees, Tessek or Yak Face. Still its nice to see that Leia wasn't excluded and we're getting Klaatu for the first time. Hopefully this set can lead to the palace getting revisited sometime in the next couple of years.
  6. Thunderbolts doesn't seem like the type of film that's likely to get a big marketing push. Compared to Captain America 4, Fantastic Four and Superman Legacy its the least relevant film coming out next year. And with the downward trend in superhero films lately is anyone really expecting this one to do well at the box office? The most sets I can see this film getting is two, but I think even just one is enough if they keep the focus on Bucky, Yelena, US Agent, Red Guardian and Sentry. Nobody gave a shit about the MCU's portrayals of Ghost and Taskmaster last time and I doubt many people would miss them if they were excluded here.
  7. They're both outside the regular set numbering for Star Wars sets (75xxx). The Millennium Falcon Holiday Diorama was 40658 while the 25th Anniversary set is 40755.
  8. Young Rey? Young Jyn? Young Cassian? Young Reva? Korkie Kryze? Jira? Jaybo Hood? Syril's mother? Trace and Rafa? Whoever the hell Jack Black and Lizzo were supposed to be? Sounds like its a similar type of set to the Millennium Falcon Holiday Diorama from last year.
  9. I don't mind TLW only getting two sets. It should be enough to cover all the essentials from the film.
  10. A Sentinel would be the most likely option either as a $15 Marvel Mech or a $35 Construction Figure. Master Mold could also easily be done at the scale and price range of NinjaGo's titan mech sets (usually $80 which is cheaper than this year's X-Jet) I wouldn't mind if we also got a cheap $10 Wolverine vs. X-Villain set. It would be a great way to gradually release characters like Sabretooth, Mystique, Lady Deathstrike, Omega Red and Silver Samurai if they pumped them out each year. Realistically I'm not expecting to see a lot of X-Men sets next year. The theme is going to get pretty crowded by having to balance sets for the Infinity Saga, Spider-Man, Captain America 4, Fantastic Four and potentially Thunderbolts, but hopefully the X-Men can still keep the momentum going by having some presence in the new range of products. I don't mind if they hold off on Bishop for a future set. My preference would be completing the original TAS cast first before getting round to the new team members. The January wave is only 2 months away from the X-Mansion's release so it hopefully shouldn't be a long wait if we do get more X-Men sets anyway.
  11. The mansion was never going to get over 20 characters like the Avengers Tower and Daily Bugle did but there's no denying that only getting 10 minifigures is still pretty underwhelming. Somewhere around 12-14 would have been the ideal number. Still as long as they can at least complete the original TAS team with Jean Grey, Gambit, Jubilee and Professor X I'll be satisfied. Getting either Magneto's classic red costume or Mr. Sinister would also be preferable over reusing the X-Jet's purple Magneto minifigure.
  12. Probably not for a while. The latest rumors were indicating the X-Mansion will have a November release date. I think the earliest we got news about the Avengers Tower character lineup last year was during August sometime. Wish we could get some Milano leaks to tide us over in the meantime. I'm dying to see how much they've improved the build over the previous versions along with how it compares to the Infinity Saga Benatar.
  13. I'd love a new MTT but I'd rather have a Trade Federation version over the Separatists one. The 2015 set really left a lot to be desired and the vehicle didn't play enough of a role in TCW for me to care about that particular version. It would also be a nice opportunity for figures of Boss Nass, Rune Haako or a TPM Nute Gunray.
  14. Easy pass for me. Its nice to get a new Jedi with Kelleran Beq but I've never liked how oversized the BARC Speeders were in the Bad Batch Shuttle and 501st Battle Pack and I'm still not a fan of it here.
  15. Hopefully Superman can turn things around next year. Its sad to see the state DC have gotten themselves into.
  16. Hopefully we can get some more sets in the January wave and won't have to wait until Season 2 to air. The Marvel theme could really use some more variety with their products at the moment. I'm willing to forgive the lack of new characters in the summer wave as long as they go all out with the X-Mansion.
  17. Not too thrilled on design for the Sith Infiltrator. The front of the nose isn't too bad but the back half that connects to the cockpit just looks incredibly awkward. Don't really like the new build for the Sith Probe Droids either. They look too flat and boxy compared to the previous design from the 2015 set. For me its more an issue with the Phantom Menace sets as a whole and not the Sith Infiltrator specifically. TPM sets are few and far between these days and only getting three minifigures for the film's 25th Anniversary just doesn't cut it. Lego has been doing a fantastic job at covering highly requested characters from other parts of the franchise and continues to remain on top of their game for the Original Trilogy, Clone Wars and Mandoverse. It just becomes frustrating that The Phantom Menace still remains neglected when it comes to proper minifigure coverage.
  18. Last I heard Red Hulk isn't even in Thunderbolts. The only chance of us getting him next year is likely going to be in that delayed Captain America 4 set. I'm with you on Thunderbolts only getting one set at best. It definitely comes across as the least relevant superhero film coming out next year and none of the cast are exactly heavy hitters people will be rushing to see including Bucky. If their Marvel Legends figures are any indication its a team made entirely of pegwarmers.
  19. I honestly don't see the costume being a problem at all. Its no different to the March Harriet and classic Wonder Woman figures we've already gotten and if they were to skip leg printing like they did with Cyclops the design would be even less of an issue.
  20. I'd prefer something smaller for the regular Sentinels. A construction figure would hit the right balance of being tall enough to tower over the minifigures while still being affordable enough to amass multiples. Voltron scale would be perfect for Master Mold though. Both are definitely at the top of my wishlist for next year's sets after watching the first two episodes. I think all the X-Men will be reused in some capacity. It doesn't make sense for Cyclops, Storm, Rogue or Beast to be locked behind a discontinued CMF series from last year or a set that may potentially retire in the months following the X-Mansion's release. If one of the characters had to be changed up my preference would be Magneto. I think most of us would rather get the classic red costume over a repeat of the ugly purple one. She's expected have a role in the show up later this season. I'd love to eventually get all the characters featured in that updated shot. Hopefully Emma, Sabretooth and Mystique are able to retain their spots in the mansion. We are sorely lacking in X-Men villains at the moment.
  21. The Podrace diorama looks good. Hopefully this isn't the last of them as it would be a shame not to do Duel of the Fates or Anakin vs. Obi-Wan someday. The Droideka looks amazing. Definitely one of the best droid display sets they've done so far. The minifigure scale one is an improvement over the last version but still not particularly that good. I do wish they would just create a specialized minifigure already.
  22. Acolyte panel at Star Wars Celebration: "Best thing about Star Wars is there is no good or evil it all depends on what side you're standing on, truely!"
  23. I'm 50/50 between the Baxter Building and Daily Planet being the next modular building. Fantastic Four and Superman are going to be the two primary superhero movies of 2025 so its almost certainly going to come down to one of the two. It all depends on which movie Lego chooses to prioritize. I do think the Baxter Building needs the backing of a new movie to gain public interest far more than the Daily Planet does. You either do it while the Fantastic Four are relevant, or you don't do it at all. Because you're right - this set does have the potential of being a massive shelf warmer. Especially if the film ends up being another flop like the Marvels was. Of course the best scenario would be just to release both the same year with a six month gap between them, but I admit that option is pretty unlikely to happen. They could include all the members.... if they were to skip the villains again like the last few MCU sets have.
  24. He says it to Anakin just as the podrace is about to begin. My guess is we're getting a reveal of the diorama soon.
  25. I'm going with 1-2 sets depending on whether they get next year's modular building or not.
