Having R2 sit higher also makes it easier to remove him from the set, especially now that the sides of the droid socket are fully enclosed. -

Great finally seeing these sets in high res. They did an excellent job at scaling down the X-Wing. The set looks well proportioned next to other minifigures and the build itself is much cleaner compared to the 2018 version thanks to the reduced piece count. Its great to also finally have a mechanism for opening the wings that isn't dependent on the use of rubber bands. Another thing I like is that even at a reduced price they haven't sacrificed the extra detailing like on the cannons and greebling at the back. The redesigned nose also looks better in the new pics. I really have no complaints about this one. The TIE Fighter also looks amazing! I love that the cockpit actually looks round this time - unlike the 2018 Solo version. The scale looks great next to the other figures and I like the way they designed the controls in the cockpit. Shame about the discolored ball joints but its really a minor nitpick. Pity there's nothing new with the Imperial Shuttle. Still curious as to which figures will be coming in that one. -

Its supposed to be a different costume. The 2015 figure is based on their appearance in A New Hope. The 2020 version is from the Prequel Trilogy. -

Definite buy for me. All three builds look great and the arm printing on the Mandalorian is a pleasant surprise. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long for the rest of the Star Wars sets to be officially revealed. -

Captain America and Miles Morales mechs look awesome along with the new figures! Bit surprised they gave Miles duel molded legs in a cheap set, but not Spider-Man in any of his. Thor's mech is pretty nice as well but a bit disappointing they're reusing the same video game figure. The Ghost Rider set also turned out nicely. Not impressed with the Monster Truck. Just feels like a waste of parts to me. The figures definitely make the set for this one, especially Mysterio and his new accessory pieces. PS4 Doc Ock looks good as well although I do prefer the tentacles from the older figures. The Spider-Lair isn't really for me either. Its just a bunch of random saucer pieces and window panels thrown together to the blueprint of the Batcave. -

To be honest I feel like even some of those options might be stretching it. Sequel Trilogy merchandise in general just doesn't seem to sell that well. Most brands have all but abandoned it and Gentle Giant themselves have stated the demand isn't there. Going forward the most I think we'll see from Lego are recolored Resistance X-Wings during the periods Luke's version is off the market and if we're lucky the odd duel set. I'm not sure anything else from the trilogy really has the staying power. -

Yeah... maybe with the 12 year olds. Can't say I've encountered many AFOLs that feel the same way. Regarding the latest episode: -

Bit disappointing there aren't any new figures besides the Beskar Mando variant but glad to see another Tatooine themed set. It will go well alongside the others that have recently come out. -

General Dodonna coming with the X-Wing is a pleasant surprise. Always great to get another Leia as well. An update of the celebration version would be good but I'd be happy with a re-release of the classic version as well. The TIE Fighter line up is to be expected but I have no complaints. Its a good selection of characters for anyone wanting to buy multiples of these. Still I wouldn't mind if they got rid of the black hip joint for the Stormtrooper. It makes the current figures look outdated next to the First Order and Clone Troopers. With Luke, Han and Leia all appearing in the X-Wing and Microfighter sets, I'm guessing its safe to assume the Shuttle will definitely be Imperial themed then? -

The helmet on Mysterio is a nice upgrade. The smokey blue color suits him a lot better than the clear one did. Otherwise everything else is the same as the 4+ version which is fine. Leg printing would have been nice but the figure still looks good without it. -

This is easily the best Spider-Man figure yet! The printed arms really adds a lot to the minifigure and doesn't feel too overdone. The color combination is great and I like that the webs are darker this time compared to the 2019 figure where they were barely visible. Ghost Rider is alright. I'm aware its supposed to be a different character from the 2016 Ghost Rider but I liked that figure a lot better than this one. Miles Morales looks pretty cool. I like that this figure has a bit more personality with the hoodie rather than just being another black suited Spider-Man. -

Aside from the colored wires it looks identical to the 2016 version. Not the most exciting figure but at least its more affordable this time for anyone who missed out on the last. With Vader and Palpatine still available in the Final Duel set I'm kind of hoping the shuttle comes with the Tyderium crew, especially if it includes Endor Luke this time. -

I'm not getting my hopes up for the Resistance pilot being anyone other than Poe or Snap. 4+ sets just seem like the type to only stick with the safe minifigure choices. Hopefully Luke's X-Wing will at least include an additional pilot like in previous years. Red Leader would be nice as we've never gotten him before but I would also be okay with another Biggs with a printed visor this time since the dual molded helmets have been dropped. -

Yeah the new X-Wing is great. I'm really appreciating the scaled down look the more I see it. I wouldn't mind seeing the ST version eventually redone at this scale as that one could really use a downsize. Still curious how the wing mechanism is going to work this time. Would be great if they found a way to do it without relying on the use of rubber bands. Hopefully they can also correct the markings on the wings in the final product. -

Don't forget there's also the Quinjet. That could easily be done as a large scale display piece like the 1989 Batmobile and Batwing sets. That or the tower seem like the two most likely options for me if it is a Marvel set. -

Hopefully its for Marvel this time. The two biggest candidates for a D2C set would surely have to be the Avengers Tower or a UCS styled Quinjet. Either choice would be pretty awesome. I'd also love to see the X-Mansion or a modular building Sanctum Sanctorum but don't think either are likely to happen anytime soon. -
He did pilot the Naboo Fighter during the attack on the Droid Control Ship. He was the one leading Bravo Flight as Bravo Leader. Extra arms wouldn't be an issue. Just reuse the torso for Rio Durant. Dexter Jettster could also make good use of this piece if he ever got made. It would look a lot better on him than the extended sandwich board Pong Krell used.

We've already gotten figures of Lor San Tekka, Admiral Ematt and General Cracken - three boring old geezers that had very little screentime in their respective films. If they were important enough to warrant minifigures then any of TPM's support cast should be fair game. Fode and Beed shouldn't be that complex to pull off either when they've already made a twin-necked head mold before in NinjaGo: Ric Olie is a Naboo Pilot. We've already gotten a generic Naboo Pilot in the past three releases of the Naboo Fighter. There's no reason why the next fighter couldn't substitute the generic pilot for a named character as they do that all the time with the Rebel X-Wings. Again scene accuracy is irrelevant here when you already have Queen Amidala is in the Gungan Sub and Watto/Panaka in the Sith Infiltrator. Battle Padme, Naboo Forces, Nute Gunray, Rune Haako and Sabe AAT, Battle Droid Carrier, Flash Speeder, Gian Speeder, MTT, Naboo Starfighter, Neimoidian Shuttle Boss Nass Same as above - plus the Gungan Sub and Gungan Patrol C-3PO and Shmi Anakin's Hut, Anakin's Podracer, Mos Espa Podrace, Sith Infiltrator, Watto's Junkyard For a film with so many missing character gaps they can knock a LOT of them out the way very quickly if they wanted to.
-
There's quite a number of prominent TPM characters that haven't been done yet. But one advantage the film has is that the majority of them are present on either Naboo or Tatooine and could be included in literally any set based around those two planets. Scene accuracy shouldn't be an issue either considering we've already seen Queen Amidala in the Gungan Sub and Watto in the Sith Infiltrator. For me the primary absentees from Naboo/Tatooine are: Additional Podracers Boss Nass C-3PO (TPM) Fode and Beed Handmaiden Kitster Naboo Engineer Naboo Palace Guard Nute Gunray (TPM) Padme Amidala (Battle of Naboo) Ric Olie Rune Haako Sabe Shmi Skywalker Sio Bibble As long as they push out more TPM sets and are willing to include new characters then the majority of these could be knocked off the list quite quickly.

It looks like it will be around 4 studs shorter both in width and length. -
I'd prefer the next Jabba's Palace to be a MBS set. They did an amazing job with the cantina and I'd like to see the palace receive that same level of detail. Even better would be if they released one in close proximity to a UCS Sail Barge. If both sets had the same character count as the cantina you'd be looking at 42 minifigures total - plus the additional Jabba/Rancor big figs filling in for the dewback.

The hinges are still there. Just by the nose under the red sloped brick. I think the fuselage not being properly aligned is due to the image being an unfinished CG render and not because the build has been changed. Hopefully the stickers on the wings aren't final. Don't really like that the markings have been rotated 90 degrees. -

Not a fan of the hideout. It almost looks 4+ to me with a basic build made mostly of large curved parts and windows. It would be a shame if they also dropped the dual molding on Spider-Man. Thankfully these are only preliminaries so nothings set in stone. The monster truck looks like one of those throwaway filler sets that you really only buy for the minifigures but I like the use of that hidden side piece for Mysterio. The Hellcharger and mechs all look great and its nice to see the Ragnarok helmet return for Thor. Shame you can't really see much of Doc Ock and Captain America. -

The Han figure looks preliminary to me. Its just the Ant-Man/Peter Parker head slapped on the Force Awakens torso. -

The X-Wing turned out pretty well. The loss of detail doesn't look too drastic compared to the 2018 version and its given some areas like the wings and droid socket a cleaner look. Not sure how I feel about the new nose design though. It looks a bit too blocky compared to before and will take some getting used too. The Shuttle also looks nice but like others have said the proportions do look a bit off and I'm not too fond of the underside of the cockpit. The TIE Fighter is definitely the highlight of the wave. This is by far the best cockpit design they've done and downsizing the ship has really improved the overall look of it. The only nitpick is the mismatched ball joints on the wing panels but that's a minor issue that can easily be fixed. Other than that its just a massive improvement over the previous renditions all around and makes me yearn for remakes of other TIE variants at this scale.
