  1. One thing that might affect the chances of a new Clone Wars Maul is that we're already getting the Crimson Dawn version as an exclusive minifigure for the new DK book later this year. As the two costumes are quite similar there's always the possibility he could be omitted in favor of a legacy Clone Wars villain (Grievous, Ventress etc) or included in another Phantom Menace set.
  2. A new Avengers Tower is a nice surprise. Looking forward to seeing how much they've improved it over the previous model.
  3. No Mandalorian or Clone Wars sets would be disappointing but I have no issues with going back to the Prequel Trilogy. There are still a LOT of scenes and characters from all three films that are still missing and even from a remake perspective enough time has passed since they last released anything from the Battles of Naboo and Geonosis. In the case of Jango's Slave I and Bounty Hunter Pursuit its been almost 20 years since their last release and they're both long overdue for another appearance.
  4. Nien Nunb is definitely overdue but he really didn't have anything to do with the Nebulon Frigate. The ship is mostly known for its appearance at the end of ESB above anything else and the only minifigures we haven't gotten that are relevant to it are Medical Frigate Luke and Smuggler Lando.
  5. The helicopter looks surprisingly good. Usually the vehicles in these sets tend to be filler but this one looks really well designed.
  6. There's plenty of unreleased variants of the main characters to choose from for a CMF series. Many of them are obscure enough that it wouldn't affect the main line of sets. 7. Black Widow looks pretty good. Probably my favorite suit design so far. Taskmaster's minifigure looks pretty forgettable. The design is accurate enough to the movie but he just doesn't look that interesting compared to the comic book figure that came out a while back.
  8. The new capes are still being used in both the DC Collectable Minifigures line and the new Marvel Superheroes sets. No idea why they aren't being used in the latest Star Wars sets but they haven't been phased out completely.
  9. There hasn't been a B-Wing since 2014 and the majority of TROS sets are already remakes.
  10. I don't think anyone is denying that at all. In fact the only time I remember the line having any success was the first LOTR wave which focused on some of the trilogy's most iconic moments. The first two waves for the Hobbit trilogy sold horribly everywhere I was at. They were endlessly clogging the shelves and retailers had to mark them down half price or more just to get rid of them. It wasn't just Lego either. Pretty much all Hobbit merchandise was shelf warming. The trilogy just didn't resonate with audiences the same way LOTR did. The second LOTR wave didn't do any better and I think a big part of the reason there was the questionable set choices that were either too obscure or just not interesting enough for anyone but diehard fans. By the time the third Hobbit wave came around there was only a limited production run that very few retailers were willing to stock.
  11. There's still quite a few sets they can get out of The Rise of Skywalker. Spoiler tagged for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
  12. The torso print is slightly different too. I don't think Vader really needed arm printing but its still a welcome addition. The Visual Dictionary for TROS is out and we finally have names for each of the Knight of Ren minifigures: Kylo Ren's Shuttle - Ap'lek (Hood) and Ushar (Helmet) Poe Dameron's X-Wing - Vicrul Sith TIE Fighter - Trudgen Cardo and Kuruk are the two still yet to be released.
  13. Really love the improvements they made on the wing engines compared to Poe's previous X-Wing models. The transition from orange to white is also quite well done without resorting to the use of stickers. Shame about the price though.
  14. If they do EV-9D9 again I'd like to see her get a specialized mold like 2-1B and K-2SO.
  15. That Darth Maul figure looks awesome! Really wasn't expecting they'd come out with a Crimson Dawn variant this late after Solo's release but its great to see the movie hasn't been forgotten. The facial expression is also a MASSIVE improvement over the weird smiling one he's had the past several years. Hopefully they'll reuse it the next time a TPM minifigure comes along.
  16. That's a nice shot showcasing all the different Batmobiles together. The 1989 Batmobile is definitely my favorite one yet, but the 2019, 1966, DCEU and Tumbler sets all look great as well. Unfortunately some of the other older models are starting to show their age.
  17. Honestly I'm glad to take a break from the generic Resistance soldiers. TFA and TLJ have already given me more than enough figures already and so far in the trilogy they seem to be the one faction where the foot soldiers have seen zero action, even on Crait. I'd be happy to see them just continue focusing on the named Resistance characters from this point onwards. There's still plenty of notable ones missing to pick from across the Sequel Trilogy such as TLJ/TROS Leia, Nien Nunb, Dominic Monaghan's character, PZ-4CO, Klaud, Admiral Stratura, Doctor Kalonia, Jess Pava and C'ai Threnalli/Ello Asty.
  18. Instant buy for me! The designs of the Mandalorians are even better than I was expecting. The printing for each is detailed and the color choices really stand out. Even better is just how distinct each one is from one another. The redesigned speeder from the Clone Wars looks great as well. Definitely one of my favorite battlepacks,
  19. Very disappointing lineup. There isn't a single set I find remotely appealing to buy from this range. Even the character selection isn't really offering anything new.
  20. They did update the head print for 2020.
  21. Have to agree with everyone on the new sets. Definitely an easy pass for me. Hopefully the Spider-Man ones will fare better.
  22. Not a big collector of microfighters. The Bantha is well designed but too small to really work as the real thing alongside other system scale sets. Nice to see Zorii will be available in a cheap set. The First Order Battlepack looks fantastic! Nice little speeder build, a cheap way to get more Sith Troopers, two new Sith Jet Trooper figures and an all new officer variant. Can't ask for anything more really. Not too impressed with the Duel on Mustafar. The build doesn't look as well designed compared to previous lightsaber duel or Mustafar sets and the lack of Padme is disappointing. Still its great to have new versions of Anakin and Obi-Wan. The TIE Dagger looks great and the inclusion of a stand is a great way to solve the stability issue of the wings. The X-Wing is the highlight of the new wave with a striking color scheme and improved build over the previous Resistance fighters. Jannah looks awesome and I'm very happy to see we're getting another two Knights of Ren (just leaves the final two for the summer wave).
  23. This one is a perfect match for the character. It would be a shame if they don't use it.
  24. Excellent MOC! It really goes to show the ship can be done in Lego as the sleek design has been captured perfectly here.
  25. I know I've suggested this before but using Lego's own history of themes would be a great subject for the exhibits. Having the Black Falcons as part of a medieval exhibit, a micro build replica of the Black Sea Barracuda and King Kahuka's mask as part of a pirate exhibit, the Classic Space astronaut as part of a space exhibit or Johnny Thunder's discoveries from the Adventurers line are just some ideas of the things they could incorporate.
