LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Depending on how deeply they go into the Mandalorian next year they've got the perfect opportunity to reuse the Devaronian head piece on Burg while still keeping the Labria character exclusive to the cantina. -

They did an incredible job with the detail on Garindan's mask. Really liking the new Devaronian headpiece as well. Doesn't look to be any dual molding on Han this time around. I'm a little surprised the Biths are the exact same figures from 2014. Was expecting they'd get a new torso print, but glad they didn't as it makes it easier for anyone who still owns the older set to have a complete band without worrying about redesigns. -

Not sure how I feel about having a smaller selection of sets next year. It will be a lot easier on the wallet but the downside is that all the non-OT content is going to be stretched pretty thin. -

Could it be they're increasing the number of series to four waves next year? -

Love the interior! Its spacious enough to accommodate plenty of figures and the alcoves look much less cramped compared to previous releases. Also a pretty creative use of the wheels for the bar tables. -
A remake of the Mos Espa Podrace in the MBS style would be pretty cool. In terms of racers Mawhonic, Teemto Pagalies, Ratts Tyerell, Ben Quadinaros and/or Ody Mandrell would be the ones I'd like to see the most. They seemed to be the most prominent ones in the film. And I'm definitely in favor of new variants for Aurra Sing and Weazel as spectators of the race. True although they could always take some creative liberty and throw in a random Mos Eisley alien like Muftak alongside Luke and Biggs.

After today's Mos Eisley Cantina leak I'd definitely like to see Tatooine expanded upon even further with sets like Tosche Station, Watto's Shop and Anakin's Home. They wouldn't need to be too expensive - something along the price range of Obi-Wan's Hut would be ideal. It would be a nice way to build up a proper Tatooine town as well as deliver some long overdue characters like Shmi and TPM C-3PO.

Looking closer I think the figure next to Labria might actually be Hrchek Kal Fas (Saurin) rather than Elis Helrot. The colors of the costume are a closer match to that character and the head looks to be using the Trandoshan piece in a new color. -

Wow they absolutely nailed this set. The build for the Cantina is just perfect and I'm glad they went with a complete enclosed building rather than an open facade. Hopefully its not too long before pics of the interior show up. Really happy with the minifigure selection as well. Its great to finally have Garindan but really wasn't expecting to see Labria or Elis Helrot as well! Its also nice to see the molded Dewback return. -

Assuming its real it looks great so far. The small buildings are nicely done and the V-35 is a nice change from Luke's Landspeeder. Wasn't expecting Kabe but its cool they are able to pull it off using an existing piece. -

Not sure how having too much interior space is a bad thing when many sets are often criticized for not having nearly enough. -

The new trailer for the game looks awesome! Can't wait to play it. Unfortunately the choice for the bonus figure is a little underwhelming though. They've just taken a 6 year old frequently released figure and slapped a milk gimmick on it. We don't see as many polybags as we used to and with so many characters still unreleased I think there are better choices they could have picked from. -

For the Separatist version sure. Doesn't mean the Trade Federation version used the same. For what its worth the Incredible Cross Sections book for The Phantom Menace does depict the standard blue pilot droid behind the controls. -

I think more likely TROS Rose was designed as part of the Skywalker Saga video game and the Holiday Special is just reusing the same character models from it. Still would be nice if we did get more figures from the film. -

I don't have any problems with the size of Ponda Baba's head piece. The whole figure looks great to me. Evazan's face print looks even better in these clearer pics. Even without a deformed nose they've still managed to perfectly capture the character's likeness with the design. -

To be honest I'm kind of hoping they don't include a micro scaled Falcon. Just feels like a waste of parts to me. If they need to fill a vehicle quota there are better options they can come up with. -

Both minifigures look great - especially Ponda Baba with that new Aqualish head piece! Can't wait to see what other characters are in store... -

Its a supply issue. The four remaining sets that haven't hit retail yet (501st, AAT, Night Buzzard and AT-AT) should be coming sometime in the next couple of weeks. -

The home screen looks great. Love the different character poses! Just needs a few more PT era characters mixed in to make it better. I mean how can you not have young Obi-Wan and Anakin in there? Where is Padme? -

The Bespin Duel looks great! I was pretty happy with the one that came in the larger Cloud City set but this looks even more detailed. Hopefully they have plenty of stock available for everyone to purchase. As much as I want Queen Amidala's Royal Starship to finally be made, I'm also still waiting on Eowyn vs. The Witch-King to happen. Unfortunately being on a video game's cover art isn't always a guarantee its going to get a physical release. -

Not holding my breath for multiple buildings. I think the set will be more along the lines of: Cantina as the primary build Hideout for R2-D2 and C-3PO - either as a small stand alone build or incorporated into the Cantina itself Landspeeder Ubrikkian 9000 Pod Swoop Bike At least one brick built creature (Bantha, Dewback or Ronto) with water trough Possibly a small market stall or portion of shipwreck debris -

I think its still an incredibly slim chance even with the existing werewolf piece. As mentioned previously I'm not expecting much beyond the primary characters (Greedo, Evazan, Ponda Baba, Wuher, Ithorian, Bith Band and Garindan). Even if they do go beyond those characters I think there are other patrons that have a stronger chance of being made before the Wolfman such as Snaggletooth, BoShek and the Duros. But if he does get omitted at least the Wolfman will be easy to custom. Garindan would require a new piece too. Not necessarily a full head mold but at least a neck attachment like the wizard beards to represent his trunk. Unless there's an existing part they can repurpose like the Sky Police oxgyen mask but I'm not sure that one is compatible with the redesigned hood piece. -

There were two different wolfmen in the cantina scene. Lak Sivrak (left) was cut from the Special Editions but Arleil Schous (right) is still present in them. His mask also looks a lot closer to the existing werewolf headpiece than Lak's mask does.
