We still don't know what potential store and online exclusives will be released in the second wave.
-
I don't mind having multiples of the main characters as long as it doesn't get too excessive like POTC. Legolas only came in the Moria set this year, so I wouldn't complain about having another to display with Helms Deep.

75015 Corporate Alliance Droid Kashyyyk themed no doubt. Hopefully the Tank will be a bit larger than its last release. Phase II Commander Gree and Tarfull would be nice, as would a non-LULS/non-CW Luminara Unduli. 75016 Homing Spider Droid The previous version was quite well done, so I'm interested in seeing if there's much improvement in the design. Aside from the usual Battle Droids and Clones, I'm betting we'll also see a non-CW Jedi thrown in - probably Ki Adi Mundi. 75017 Yoda vs, Count Dooku playset Great to finally have non-CW updates for Yoda and Dooku. I'm interested in seeing how much of a playset this actually is. 75019 AT-TE The leaked info suggested this comes with 4-5 minifigures which is around the same number as the 2008 release. Could we see Anakin, 2 Clones and a Battle Droid with Padme taking Ahsoka's place? 75020 Jabba's Sailbarge The leaked info about it being downgraded compared to its original release has me a bit worried, but at least we have an updated Slave Leia and potentially Max Rebo and Ree Yees to look forward too. Yak Face and a Weequay would be pretty sweet too. 75021 Republic Gunship Like the AT-TE, the leaked info says this comes with 4-5 figures just like the last version. Perhaps Obi-Wan, 2 Clones and a non-CW Jedi and Jango Fett taking the places of Plo Koon and Asajj Ventress? 75022 Mandalorian Speeder No idea what this is supposed to be, but if its based on the upcoming storyarc we should at least see Obi-Wan in Mando Armour, Darth Maul, Bo-Katan and a long overdue Satine Kryze. Savage, Pre Vizsla and generic Mandalorians are also possible.

Thanks for the pics. If you don't mind me asking could you please take a picture of Luke's alternative face?

I thought Max Rebo was on the Sailbarge during the part where its making its journey to the Saarlac.
-
Bring on Gandalf the White and Mouth of Sauron! I'm still crossing my fingers for an Eowyn vs Witch-King on Fell Beast set next year.

The Gunship is not much of a surprise after seeing that CGI pic with the new Yoda and a new Sailbarge was due to come out sooner or later. I am a bit dissapointed by the prospect it may be downgraded compared to its predessessor. I'm not as excited for another AT-TE when the last one was also released with the previous Gunship. Would've preferred to had one of the two held off for next year and get a Geonosian Arena instead, or a revision of the older AOTC sets. An Ewok Village could still come out as a store exclusive. I'm drooling at the thought of both Slave Leia and Ewok Village Leia in the same wave.

The hairpiece is too perfect a match to Ewok Village Leia for it to be a coincidence.
-
Am I the only one that hopes Eowyn comes with this headpiece? The video game uses the maiden one, but I think this would look a lot more accurate,

Yoda's head looks a bit different from the Clone Wars figure.

Any word on when we can expect the Hobbit sets to start showing in stores? -
Nice ideas. If I could make a few suggestions: Cloud Car I'd also include Princess Leia in the Cloud Car. The reason is that there were two versions of the character during the Bespin scenes - one in the white jumpsuit, and the other in the red gown. Any future Cloud City set is likely to only include one Leia minifigure, and by also throwing her in the Cloud Car it gives collectors the chance to have both versions of her. Ginivex-class Starfighter I'd also include a Nightsister along with Mother Talzin as it gives us another major Clone Wars villain who has yet to be made. Talzin should be fairly simple for Lego to make now with some of the unique pieces showing up in the Ninja Turtles and Legends of Chima lines. Although the Nightsisters weren't in the same scene as the Starfighter, they still relate to the episode it appears in. TIE Bomber Rather than another generic Imperial Officer, how about a character who hasn't been made yet like Captain Needa or Admiral Ozzel? Again it fills out an empty slot of characters yet to be made. Mos Eisley Cantina One of the appealling features about the Cantina is the unique variety in aliens. Unfortunately Lego also needs to have the main heroes available for newcomers, and there's simply no way we're going to get everyone in the one set - especially when most sets generally have a 8-10 minifigure limit. An alternative would be releasing 2 Tatooine themed sets in a single wave, much like the Desert Skiff and Jabba's Palace this year: - Mos Eisley Cantina (Han, Chewie, Greedo, Ponda Baba, Dr Evazan, Garindan, Sandtrooper and 1-3 more aliens) - Landspeeder/Tusken Raider Encounter (Luke, Obi-Wan, R2-D2, C-3PO and Tusken Raiders) By splitting the characters this way we would be guarenteed to get everyone.

The Rebel Pilot is new. The one that came with Yavin IV is the X-Wing variant. This one is the new Snowspeeder version. Not to mention although he's unnamed in this set, the design of the helmet indicates the Snowspeeder Pilot is supposed to be Dack Ralter, Luke's gunner in the ESB who happens to be missing from the new Battle of Hoth set. Does that really matter? Its still a Hoth themed set and we're lucky to even be getting a Rieekan minifigure. And correction - he has a small blaster, not an assault rifle.

The blonde hairpiece would be perfect for a future Eowyn minifigure. -
Review: 79001 Escape from Mirkwood Spiders
wesker replied to Big Cam's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I don't have a problem with Legolas appearing since he is the son of Thranduil. Tauriel however I'm not a huge fan of if her character description is anything to go by. The whole "Commander of Mirkwood's Elvish army who is a greater warrior than any man" thing makes her sound like a massive Mary Sue from some bad fan fiction.- 77 replies

Good to see another Hoth set even if a lot of what we're getting has already been before. General Rieekan and a proper Snowspeeder Luke are welcome additions. Would have been nice if Dak Ralter was also included to co-pilot the Snowspeeder, but at least he's coming in the Hoth Planet set as the unnamed pilot. I'm pretty sure the 2 "pilots" in the description are meant to be Snowtroopers. It doesn't make much sense to include a Speeder Bike and E-Web blaster if there's no one to use them.

Krell looks fantastic! He's not among my top choices of the CW characters to be made into Lego, but seeing how the minifigure has turned out I can't wait to get him. The new Clone pilot looks pretty nice too, but the Phase 2 Clone helmet is going to take time getting used too.

Does anyone know if Kili/Fili's hairpiece can be used on Gandalf with the beard piece?
-
Thanks for the pictures TWP. Unfortunately the design of the new droideka looks worse and worse the more I look at it. I'd prefer Lego had just created a new mold so we could finally get a properly scaled droideka that doesn't look thrown together by random parts.

Nice to see Ahsoka doesn't have a trout pout anymore. Now if only they can do the same for Ventress.

I have mixed feelings on the Frodo and Ringwraith set. On one hand we already had this scene depicted in the Weathertop set so it does feel a bit redundant. At the same time it does offer a cheap way to get the rest of the Ringwraiths and there's always the possibility of Arwen being included. I really love the sound of the Pirate Ship though. The design is awesome and who doesn't want minifigures of the Army of the Dead, the Corsairs and with any luck the King of the Dead?

I don't think its odd we're not seeing much from AOTC. You need to keep in mind a lot of the ships and vehicles have already been recently released under the Clone Wars brand, so that doesn't exactly leave a lot of options. On top of that ROTS is going to be re-released in theatres what... a month after AOTC? I'd expect the Summer 2013 wave to balance out sets from both movies rather than focus on one over the other.

Its hard to pick who the best figure is since there's so many contenders. Star Wars has many great figures from this year's line up alone including Boba Fett, Princess Leia as Boussh, Queen Amidala, the Gammorrean Guard, Darth Malgus and Oola. Worst easily goes to the human Clone Wars characters (some of the alien characters aren't so bad). I'm also not a big fan of any of the Indiana Jones girls. Either their makeup is barely noticable that they look more male than female (Irina Spalko, original Marion) or they overdo it with the vibrant colors that they look like drag queens (Elsa, Willie, updated Marion)

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
wesker replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
This year alone gave us Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Black Widow, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn, plus Jean Grey for those lucky to attend Comic Con. I wouldn't say Lego is holding back with the ladies. Plus they had no problem giving us both Aunt May and 4 variations of Mary Jane in the previous Spiderman line - neither of which have any superpowers or fighting skills. I'd be quite surprised if we don't see a Pepper minifigure, or Lois Lane for the Man of Steel sets for that matter.
