Aside from a battlepack of 4 identical Stormtroopers (who doesn't want this?) I think my most wanted has to be a Naboo Forces battlepack. Many of us have amased a decent enough army of rebels, droids, clones and Imperials over the years, but the Naboo has always gotten the short end of the stick. I'd also like to see Lego experiment with non-infantry "battlepacks". One example would be a Tatooine Scavenger set that comes with 2 Jawas and 2 Tusken Raiders. Another is a Jabba themed set with 2 Gamorrean Guards, a Weequay and Nikto. Or another could be a group of random aliens such as a Rodian, Gran, Twi'lek and Gungan.

I think its safe to say they will. The real question is will Anakin, Padme and Jango be the same as the ones on the cover of the scholastic book that was revealled late last year.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

I'm surprised by how cheap all the sets are (not that I'm complaining ) and the lack of a flagship set. -
Hopefully they've updated the torso with more detail and back printing. Maybe even add boots this time to the legs? I am curious about whether the hairpiece for Leia (and Padme) is going to be a new mold or an older part. I'll be happy enough if she looks like this:

Great to hear we're getting Adi-Gallia/Stass Allie along with confirmation of Boba Fett, Poggle the Lesser and the Weequay. The Mandalorian Super Commandos sound like they might be the red ones from Maul's faction which adds some nice variety from the regular Death Watch ones. Its too bad they didn't go into more detail about the new Leia, Obi-Wan, Anakin and Padme. I'm really looking forward to them, especially Leia. My only disapointment is we're not getting Bo-Katan this year. Hopefully we'll her and Satine before Lego is finished with Mandalore. Also seems like a bit of a missed opportunity not throwing Zam Wesell into the Advent Calender with Boba as she's the only AOTC figure left to be updated. Fingers crossed for a Bounty Hunter Pursuit in the 2014 line up.

Whats the point? We just had one released and what characters would it come with that we wouldn't already own by that point? Instead of remaking old sets I rather see the Clone Wars line focus on new ones that we wouldn't get from the 6 movies. How about more Umbara? Zygarians? Nightsisters? Mortis? Zillo Beast? More Mandalorians? Even Ziro the Hutt's palace would be a better option than another Jabba one. Screen accuracy has never really been one of Lego's top priorities though. The most recent example is Ahsoka Tano being included in the Umbaran MHC despite never even appearing in that storyarc. I could see Adi Gallia being inlcuded over Stass Allie solely because she's the one people are more familiar with and there really isn't any visual difference between the two. I also disagree on Agen Kolar being the Zabrak in the Spider Droid set. He's already available in Palpatine's Arrest. Why would they bother to update him a year later with a new head or leg printing that he doesn't need? At least with Eeth Koth only being previously available as a Clone Wars figure the changes would be justified. And if he's anything like Saesee Tinn he only requires a new head and different coloured arms anyway, which would be no more effort that needlessly changing Agen Kolar.

Am I the only one that would love to see a Naboo forces battlepack? There's so much focus on clones, rebels, Imperials etc that a lot of the stuff from Episode 1 gets overlooked. Naboo Pilot: Currently available in the planet sets, although an update of the variant without the red trenchcoat would be welcome (and brings us one step closer to Ric Olie) Security Guard: Only previously available in the Flash Speeder about 13 years ago. An update is long overdue. Security Officer: This one requires no effort on Lego's part. Just use Captain Panaka with his head replaced with a more generic one. Palace Guard: The only one that hasn't been released yet.

I also hope to see an Adi Gallia figure, especially since she's the last of the CW Jedi left to be made. At the same time I also want to see Dutchess Satine as she's a very important character on the show (arguably the third main heroine after Ahsoka and Padme) and is already missing from all 3 Mandalorian themed sets. How many more are Lego likely to make before we lose the chance to get Satine? At least Adi Gallia can appear in prequel themed sets. On the other hand a part of me is also hoping the Starhopper will be based on the episode Massacre just so we get Mother Talzin. Assuming Maul and Bo-Katan both come in the Mandalorian Speeder and young Boba Fett in the Advent Calender, Talzin would be the last major Clone Wars villain left to be made into Lego.

A poster who saw the retailer catalogue a few weeks back claims the set comes with Darth Maul and 2 Mandalorians. Hopefully one of the Mandos will be Bo-Katan.

So is the Planet line going to end after Series 4?
wesker replied to Muddy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The one thing I'm not a big fan of is having generic troops as the minifigure. Army building for a cheap price is great, but why do we need the planet sets for this when we have multiples of the same figure already available battlepacks for roughly the same price? I would rather see the planets come with more unique minifigures. For example: - Characters that we wouldn't normally get in regular sets (Bail Organa, Boss Nass, Mas Amedda) - Figures that need to be updated to pupil eyes, from yellow to flesh or from CW style to realistic style - Generic aliens that don't have the option of army building like the troops do (Jawas, Tusken Raiders, Ugnaughts) The same could be applied to the Advent Calenders. -
There's still the small possibility of there being one more set as an exclusive to a store like Toys R Us. If I recall correctly we didn't hear about Spider-Man/Doc Ock, Pre Vizsla's Fighter or Palpatine's Arrest until the middle of last year.

Awesome work. I always liked the costumes from the animated series the best.

Aside from the feet the eagle looks to be identical to the one from the video game.

The 2011 figures were also exclusive though. Green Lantern has never appeared in a single set and the Nolan Trilogy Batman that was exclusive to Comic-Con isn't the same figure as the one in the Tumbler despite both figures being based on the same costume. -

A part of me is still holding out we'll see a regular Phoenix someday. Lego did make two versions of the Dark Knight Trilogy Batman afterall - one in the Tumbler set and the other a comic con exclusive. Perhaps all Jean requires to be released in a regular set is a different shade of green and a modified torso print? He could also come with the X-Jet. I'm still hoping we'll see at least one X-Men set this year as a store exclusive. How long was it last year when we first got word of the Toys R Us Spider-Man/Doc Ock set last year? -
My suggestion would be to include the ruined tower in Osligiliath that the fell beast was perched upon earlier on in ROTK when the Witch-King ordered Gothmog to attack Minas Tirith. I was thinking something along the lines of this set, with the fell beast in place of the giant wheel.

I'm more annoyed at Jean Grey in her Phoenix costume being an exclusive. That is her most iconic look. -
Same here. Aragorn and Gimli should come with one too.

Good to hear Orthanc is for real. I just wish there were some truth behind the rumoured Witch-King set.

^ I wouldn't mind if they also added the printed fur detail. Anyway I'm in a bit of a Clone Wars mood at the moment and after rewatching the Mortis arc recently, the Ones have just jumped up on my most wanted list. The Son and Father in particular would make some epic looking minifigures. Perhaps in a future Jedi Shuttle set? Satine and Bo-Katan would also be nice. Its a shame Satine isn't in the Mandalorian Speeder set coming out, but I'm holding hope Bo-Katan will be one of the Mandalorians. At least we're getting a CW Darth Maul though. Speaking of future sets, I'm kind of torn whether I want the Starhopper to be from the Zygarian arc or the Maul arc. Zygarian will be our only chance for Queen Miraj Scintel, but the Maul arc could give us Talzin (the last prominant CW villain still to be made) as well as a new Ventress variant. Talzin is certainly do-able now with the new Ninja-Go shoulder piece. All she really needs is a new hood mold and maybe Palpatine's lightning piece in green.

It makes sense with ROTJ's anniversary coming up. Plus ROTJ does have a lot more characters to pick from. Wedge, General Lando, Mon Mothma and Crix Madine all need updates to the pupil faces, and we still haven't gotten minifigures of Home One Leia, Nien Numb or Prune Face yet.

It depends on what Arwen's costume will be. The Legolas hair would work best if she's wearing the one from the chase sequence. For any of the others she wore in Rivendell, the piece from the video game would be better. I disagree with you on Tauriel though. Its just too impractical to have a minifigure hairpiece so long that it goes below the waist, and by removing the short braid at the bottom her hair doesn't really look any different to the rest of the Elves. I'm still disapointed there's no Eowyn or Galadriel. I'd take them anyday over Arwen and Tauriel.

The unnamed Snowspeeder Pilot is supposed to be Dak Ralter, Luke's gunner who is conveniently missing from the Battle of Hoth set. But I agree the planet sets should really come with more unique characters and less army builders. I mean is anyone seriously going to buy multiples of these just for one figure? I'd like to see more updated versions of characters from the yellow skin and pre-pupil era, or even characters who wouldn't normally fit in regular sets.

The Hasbro playset looked just fine in grey.

I prefer Shmi from TPM. She is more iconic than the AOTC version who was barely on screen. I'd actually like to see Lego focus on the podracers again, even remake the remaining ones from the Mos Espa Podrace and Watto's Junkyard sets. There's so many potential minifigures: Qui-Gon in poncho Shmi C-3PO Ann & Tann Gella (the blue Twi'lek twins) Kitster Ben Quadinaros Teemto Mawhonic (he didn't come with his podracer in 2001, and Lego now has the head mold thanks to Ree Yees in the new Sail Barge) Fode & Beed Updated Tusken Raider Updated Gasgano Updated Alder Beedo Non-CW Aurra Sing Non-CW Quinlan Vos Eopie
