  1. Well they should! Both are overdue - perhaps a big Lambda could replace the ISD in October '23...or something like that.
  2. I'm here for a new UCS Lambda Shuttle.
  3. Wow - what a great presentation! LEGO should feel lucky there are customers out there willing to do set design & product packaging for them The box design is nearly indistinguishable from 2022 sets. Let's see if an official version is anywhere near as good... Downloaded - thank you!
  4. @l0renZo You're welcome! If/when I get around to constructing a mod for the stand that's worthy of display, I'll be sure to post photos. Have you started the Vigilance build yet, or? Either way, good luck!
  5. It's a pretty good space parts pack and I might pick one up eventually. Also, I could definitely see a 6 or 7 yr old having a meltdown because they can't finish the exact ship pictured on the box step by step. I'm not against apps entirely, but I'm strongly in favor of complete instructions always being available in downloadable pdf format on the website. Creativity, adventure, etc...yes, I get it. I'd like to think that LEGO already knows not all kids necessarily want this open-ended build experience, and some prefer to be guided to achieve the exact thing on the box at the end. $ .02
  6. I would venture the 3 less studs on one side of the stand would definitely affect stability, but not by a great deal. However, the stands as designed experience a lot of torsional stress, especially when resting on a low friction surface such as a clean countertop. I'm thinking of connecting the forward and aft towers by constructing a long rectangular platform for my own stability improvements. This might help in your case as well. The big question is: Does your display shelf hang on a wall, or is it a free-standing piece on the floor? Be careful, this model is heavy...you would require a very beefy shelf if it's wall-mounted!
  7. No problemo! I did a similar mod using inverted slopes as well - opted for the 2x3s on mine. Now when I see the original design it just looks off!
  8. Great mod! Trying to get the right code to embed a thumbnail for your photo.... ...so, scroll all the way down on the ibb page and just copy the last BBCode linked image for Thumbnail. Repeat for each photo - simple as that!
  9. @Bornin1980something That's my kitchen countertop and a plastic cutting board I got at Target - propped up vertically to make backdrop.
  10. Made a couple small mods that I believe make the back end look better, IMHO... Image is link:
  11. ...or perhaps even generdically!
  12. Not at all - let's hear it! Not sure of your age category, but I imagine the resident GenX-ers are the ones overdosing on nostalgia - I know I am!
  13. Well done, sir, well done! You have perfected the walking function and the model looks GREAT!! Can't really say that for 10178 - ugly walker if you ask me.
  14. Dammit! I spoiled the gag by scrolling ahead. I will say that I'm glad I'm not a collector that saves the packaging. LEGO must hate those people...forcing them to defile the box. Punch tabs?? EWWWW!!
  15. With the exception of BD-1 perhaps, the only other set in this wave that interested me was 75338 so I snagged the solitary copy that I found at a local Target. For some reason this set is more scarce than the others. Since I'm not chasing much else in this round, I decided to hold my nose and pay the $70 dollars. I like the set. As others have indicated, it's a solid little ship...very dense. The minifigs are just okay and I'm not blown away by the speeder, although I like the wrap-around cable idea. Fun build overall, but the price tag deflates my enthusiasm - quite a bit less perceived value compared to other current offerings.
  16. WHOA!! That is unbelievable! The pace and lumbering look of the walking action looks perfect! I wonder if you gave the foot pads a bit of traction in the same manner of the 75313 design, the side shifting might be minimized. I hope you find a good solution for the broken leg issue. In the meantime, great work!
  17. Just built the Galaxy Explorer Sport model - I like this one just as well as the original! Image is link:
  18. I'm planning to address the completely flat bottom with one or two layers of inversely stepped wedge plates and tiles to contour the arrowhead shape of the ship, similar to how the original GE was constructed. ^^ Also - similar to the original - I plan to make that plain, slab-sided aft section a bit more angular with inverted slopes.
  19. If that were the case, absolutely. Does anyone know how many 10497s per retail shipping box? How Target or WM would receive them, in other words... Two would be perfect!
  20. @DBlegonerd7 Neither an 'issue' or 'concern' as you put it, just a curiosity. As Danth said, why not wait and save a box and a delivery stop by shipping them together on the 1st? Seems wasteful, but if that's their system so be it.
  21. ^^ Similar situation here. The Forest Hideout appears to be shipping separately with a tracking number already assigned, while the two 10497s are In Warehouse. Curious.
  22. @TaroPTY Mod worked great - so simple and effective. Thanks!
  23. Fantastic little ship! Your design is very well conceived and 'buttoned up.' The Bionicle parts look like they belong and they're surprisingly at home with this CS treatment. I especially like how sleek the nose is, how the slope of the canopy flows right into the nose piece seamlessly - great stuff! Your use of those two chunky grey engine pieces works really well here - its a part that I was never fond of, but this vertical configuration along with the intake plumbing and engine tail cones looks really good! Needless to say, the color scheme is a classic choice, also very well done. And finally, wonderful photography - I always appreciate when a MOC is properly showcased with some good lighting and background. Thanks for sharing, love it!
