LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Risgrynsgrot replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I find it funny how people complain about "spoilers" here, the Force Awakens sets belong in this thread so obviously it will be "spoilers" and if you're really that anal about not knowing a single thing then you should just avoid this topic Obviously, no, but there's much better colour choices than pearl dark gray, it's too dark. -
LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Risgrynsgrot replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Looks like crap. I'm hoping/assuming it'll come with a cape, but man that colour isn't a good choice. -
I think the opposite - many people dislike the PT and doesn't want sets from it. Even then, there's the people that think the PT is okay but might not wanna cough up the big money for a UCS PT set.

I can see this being remembered as one of those "what the hell where they thinking"-moments in the future. LEGO is tainted by being associated by this foul franchise.

LEGO LotR - general discussion
Risgrynsgrot replied to General Magma's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
No there won't be anymore LOTR sets. The only reason they even exist is because they tought it was a good idea to sell some Hobbit/LOTR-sets while The Hobbit played in the cinemas. And the message is vague on purpose. They have strict orders to never confirm or not confirm anything in their responses, since telling you that the line is definitively over could mean that you buy less LEGO. -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Risgrynsgrot replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm in the Centurion camp. Atleast this is a distinct, striking Iron Man figure with side arm/leg printing. Coulson is soo easy to make, just take Max Burns from the cheapest Ultra Agents set, plop on an Imperial Gunner head from the Death Star Trooper battle pack along with some brown hair and you're set. -
I'd be willing to make an exception for the LEGO Movie, simply because well it's THE Lego Movie. Even then, Mark Hamill is a bad example because neither The Joker nor The Trickster is specifically based on Batman the animated series. Still, I do believe the main reason you shouldn't count voice actors is because they aren't really based on their appearance, which is the main thing about these.

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Risgrynsgrot replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hear, hear, incredibly disappointing. Probably clearance bait, depending on how it looks in the movie. Still all those studs give me flashbacks to 2009. I wanna see pics of the new, sexy X-wings. -
That sounds pretty stupid. I mean, LEGO is largely played with western kids, and they're obviously gonna insert themselves into their games, so of course they're gonna think yellow = white. I think this whole problem boils down to the decision to make Lando brown in an ocean of yellow minifigures. I wish they'd opted for yellow for him, too.

It's definitively Han. It's the same exact head. Notice the thick black line on the top left of the head. Both have it. -

I like how LEGO made two brand new molded helmets aswell as the plastic wings for a single $20 set -
I prefer the yellow faces, it's a part of the minifigure's iconic and awesome design, and I wish that they would have continued to make them in yellow. Black characters? Make em yellow too.

Where is the love for exo-suit?
Risgrynsgrot replied to TakeaBrick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I find it ugly. It's grey and messy, and and it can't stand up to play either. The best part about the set is the Green Classic Space torsos. The reason for the hype was partly due to peoples love for CS, but mostly due to certain youtubers that kept saying that it was gonna retire, BUY NOW, etc. -
How did LEGO manage to be able to sell this for 4 bucks? I tought they could only give away polybags like these since they can't sell action figures.

What was the last movie you watched?
Risgrynsgrot replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I, too, watched Mad Max: Fury Road and I completely agree - it's easily the best Action Movie of the last 5 years, hell probably the best Action Movie of the 21th century so far. And no, it isn't a reboot of Mad Max 2, it isn't a reboot at all, like the other Mad Max movies it's just another chapter in Max Life. -

He's definitively alive. Odin is much more powerful than Loki, and if a character "dies" offscreen he's not really dead. -
Lego set import charge tax to UK from Australia?
Risgrynsgrot replied to jaesroe's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, I'm not from the UK, but Sweden, but I did a quick search and from what I've gathered from this site https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty It looks like you'll be charged VAT, 20 % of the total value, and aswell as a Duty at 2,5 % of the goods/postage if you've bought something worth more than £135. However I've purchased stuff from outside of EU a handful of times (probably around 15 different things) and I've only had to pay any VAT/Duties once. However I do not know if this is usual in the UK, or if they're stricter with VAT there. -
Best Place to Live When it Comes to Buying Lego?
Risgrynsgrot replied to Deathleech's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This is quite funny to read - in Denmark, Sweden and Norway VAT is a staggering 25 %. Tax is probably one of the biggest effects on the different pricings. -
LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Risgrynsgrot replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Granted, I haven't watched much of Rebels, so there's that, but imo the set is really boring, it looks like a generic MOC. Not even a particularily good one, again incredibly generic, worst part is probably the use of the windscreen piece. Also the figs are lacking too, Sabine's helmet is in the wrong colour. Two identical Tie Pilots, not the most interesting figs. Also, it compares to the beauty of the Tydirium Shuttle. That's a set with the same kind of minifigs (not counting the astrodroid) and has a much more iconic/nicer-looking ship. I totally see the Assault Carrier as a total clearance bait. -

LEGO LotR - general discussion
Risgrynsgrot replied to General Magma's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Why does people go on about stuff we've already gotten? The one thing we need is characters we haven't got yet. You can build your own Mt. Doom, but you can't make, say, a Faramir, Eowyn or Sauron minifig.
