It’s been a few weeks since I last posted another edition to my food series, but this week it’s time for some delicious blueberry pancakes! I have mixed opinions about how this build turned out. I tried several different designs for the pancakes, and still didn’t come up with one that I was really pleased with. Eventually I decided to just post it anyway, and see what you all think! As always, C&C are very welcome

This week’s installment in my food series is one of my personal favorite breakfast foods: waffles! And even better, waffles a la Mode! Because who doesn’t like ice cream? The photography for this build was challenging, to say the least. I spent several days trying different setups for the picture, getting suggestions from friends about what to change, and even now, I’m still not entirely happy with the result! But I guess that’s all part of learning and getting better. Picture aside, I am very pleased with how the waffles turned out. As always, feel free to let me know if you have suggestions for what I should build in the future for this series!

A big slice of plastic chocolate fudge cake is on the menu this week! I actually built this before any of my other food models, but kept putting off photographing it, as I didn’t know how I was going to set up the picture. As it turned out though, the photography went very smoothly – only one photo session, and we had gotten a picture I was extremely pleased with! And for those of you wondering what the background of the picture is, it’s the underside of a griddle. Never thought I would be using one of those for a photography backdrop! Thanks for looking, C&C are always welcome

The second installation in my food series – this time a breakfast parfait! Quite happy with how this one turned out, especially the blueberries. I had been trying to think of a good design for them for several weeks, but wasn’t coming up with anything. Then I came across those hats, and Isaac pointed out that two of them connected to each other would work well. Only problem being, we had enough of the hats to make just 2 blueberries! So I hopped on over to Bricklink and ordered a bunch from BulkAThon. I usually don’t order parts for one specific build, but I think it was worth it here. And I’m sure I’ll be using them more in the future as well! Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions on what I should build in the future for this series, I’m always open to ideas!
