  1. If I were to win, I'd like to pick F2 as the next warzone. Aymeri's retreat from Katoren depended heavily on the use of mobile fortifications. While these lumbering defenses succeeded in repelling Ulandus and Desert King attacks on the well-maintained low roads, they fared poorly on the rugged mountainous paths and proved to be easy targets for enemy ambushes. Those driven by oxen were particularly vulnerable as the animals could not easily navigate the rocky terrain. One by one the fortifications fell, often to fire and landslides trigged by enemy forces. Below, a group of Desert King soldiers use a tree they dug up to destroy the advancing wagon: These High Council soldiers weren't given much time to duck: Somewhat of a transformable aspect to this build: The blood requirement: The wagon by itself: ------------------------------------ Phew, almost didn't have a build for this warzone. This was quite the challenging contest - I had plenty of fun ideas, but virtually none that would fit within the maximum footprint of this warzone! Finally threw this together, and it definitely isn't my most inspired build. Still, this was an interesting warzone and there's been some really neat builds enter it. Thanks for looking, feedback always appreciated!
  2. The High Council of Kaliphin has unveiled there latest warfare invention: the Portable Folding Barrier Tent. This two man combat shield provides great cover for two soldiers from frontal or aerial attacks. As a tent it provides warmth for the man who is not on watch. The invention provided a great advantage..... until the Desert King's forces started stealing parts from the tents to build bouncing transportation. The tide quickly turned to the Desert King, as none of the HC's walls were tall enough. My DK entry for WZ13. C&C appreciated!
  3. My entry to WarZone 13. If I should win, I pick D3 as the next warzone. This was a fun little build, the mobile fort was a little challenging to make but I think it turned out pretty well. Aymeri and his men send some desert king soldiers packing: More pictures can be seen here: Link C&C much appreciated
  4. My entry - should I win, D3 is to be the next war zone. WZ 13: Katoren Breakout by Beorthan, on Flickr When ordered to prepare for the breakout from Katoren, a brilliant young naval engineer from the University of Mpya Stedor, presently studying under master engineer Sergio Jarrett, set to work on a speciel mobile fortress. As is clear from the finished design, it is it shares many features with the light, manouverable biremes of the Kaliphlinite navies. This "Ship of the Desert" has now been on the move for hours, and is presently pushing before it a unit of Ulandian legionnaires, who are powerless against the strong sides of the ship and the favourable position of its crew. WZ 13: Katoren Breakout by Beorthan, on Flickr Manned by a group of heavy infantry armed with pikes, spears, and crossbows, and commanded by a Katoren noble, it poses a strong offensive force. WZ 13: Katoren Breakout by Beorthan, on Flickr Powered by two oxen, it can keep up a steady pace similiar to an army on the march. With the wind aft, a sail can be unfurled to provide additional boost to relieve the oxen. WZ 13: Katoren Breakout by Beorthan, on Flickr And the underside. C&C appreciated - this was a fun build, and I think I will definitely be building some REAL ships in the future.
