LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Phantomscream replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah exactly, maybe one more Clone Trooper to actually make it more of a battle and less of a suicide mission What price do you guys think the Saleucami set will be? I'm thinking a few pounds/dollars more than a traditional battle pack..so maybe £15/$. Also, those new blasters actually look pretty nifty, I like that they shoot out studs. Might actually pick up the Droid Gunship, didn't buy the CW one and the new Chewbacca looks amazing. In terms of a Vader redesign, do we really need one (printing aside)? I've always thought of Vader as the one character which would generally stay the same design/mould wise, his helmet is pretty much perfect for what it is. -
To be fair, it makes perfect sense to be a £70 set. It's licensed AND the Simpsons' house is quite large with all the rooms and whatnot, not all of that can be fit into a lower pricepoint right?

These sound quite good actually (despite moar Batman), I'll be picking up the three cheapest ones, looking forward to seeing the new Robin minifig for the Man-Bat set. I hope the April '14 Marvel wave will be better than this year's, the Iron Man 3 sets were good considering Lego only got the film's early concept designs and whatnot, but the sets themselves were mediocre at best. If the rumours are true about there also being sets for TASM2 (which I doubt, but I like surprises), then the Marvel wave will have to be quite large..

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Phantomscream replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm assuming Grievous' Wheelbike will be a £20-25/$ set, my guess is that it'll include (in addition to Grievous) Obi Wan (this, I think, is certain) and either a Magnaguard, Battle Droid, or Cody. If it's the former it'll be good to see a new better Magnaguard minifigure, I found the Clone Wars one to be lacking. More Battlepacks is always a great thing, and yay for a cheap option to get more newly designed Wookies! The recruitment line sounds intriguing, if it is indeed deformed vehicles which seat minifigures then I'll be all over them! -
No surprise about there being more Batman sets, though I'll still probably end up buying most of them if there are new heroes and villains included (like The Flash). Can't say it's not a tad disappointing though, especially since it's pretty much guaranteed 2015 will bring us sets from the Batman/Superman film (yay more Batmen). In terms of the later Marvel wave, I'm certain Lego would produce some sets for GotG. The footage from SDCC has reached the net and it looks fantastic, no way Lego would pass up on this film - looking forward to a minifigure Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon especially!

I saw the film yesterday and absolutely loved it. While it's definitely not a masterpiece, the movie was extremely fun and I got a kick out of it, don't understand all the hate towards it. Now I need to buy the Silvermine set after which I'm done with this awesome theme.

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Phantomscream replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
EPIII sets, the value for money is something I now consider too good to be true! Highlights including the Anakin's SF and Vulture Droid set for £15...good times. -

Most probably, though I hope they don't make a Prof. Pyg or Mr Toad figure While the reveals have been good, it's a real shame we didn't get pictures of the winter minifig lineup. It's understandable with Marvel seeing as Lego would probably release the Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America WS sets in May, and maybe a few X-Men comic sets to coincide with the DoFP film!

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
Phantomscream replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Definitely loving the look and overall atmosphere of the Laketown Chase, and I'm quite certain the figure on the far right is the Master (Lego Stephen Fry woot!). There's plenty of pictures of Fry in his costume and it is absolutely him. To weigh in on the Azog figure, he will most certainly feature in one of the DoS sets, after all why would Lego spend money on some new moulds just to give them away for free?- 7500 replies

Not the best choice for a set, but it looks pretty good. Quite big too! -
Snagged a Mandalorian Speeder and Corporate Alliance Tank Droid.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
Phantomscream replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Pure speculation on my part, but maybe the two DOS based sets from the previous Hobbit wave won't be re-packaged? I'm thinking Lego might again release a few "Preview" sets based on TABA, which were scenes originally meant to be in DOS. Then again, Lego have had plenty of time to re-arrange what's in the upcoming wave, so that's not likely to happen. On more present matters, eagerly awaiting S@H to release the new LOTR wave so I can finally use my gift card! :D- 7500 replies

Those are actually some really cool exclusives, Green Arrow and Spidey are my favourite of the bunch, though as usual I won't bother to sell a kidney to obtain these Looking forward to the reveals for next year!
