Well, new, new to constraction, new to Technic, you name it. Is there any shades of red used in other themes beyond Red and Dark Red, btw? I don't recall seeing any (solid colors, excluding Trans-Red). Anyway, when I look at red parts on e.g. the Red Hulk big fig I have on a shelf above my desk, I don't think it looks too bright unless it's close to a lamp.

I'm not sure. Looking at regular red on my desk here, I think it looks a bit too light, but dark red might be too dark as well. But regular red is probably the closest to Maul's skin and I suppose it'll be that. ...unless they follow the Technic color palette route and introduce a new shade of red for Maul, something in between Red and Dark Red, maybe... I don't know, Ketchup Red? Lol

Unusual and quite interesting steering system in 42068. I too expected something much more simple.

Vader as a character in the movies has a bigger head due to the helmet. I feel that the molded helmet piece is a bit too small compared to the body. It looks to be of the same size as the other figures' heads, but should ideally be a bit bigger. Same issue goes for the Jango Fett figure, the head should IMO be a bit bigger. That said, I'm also curious about what's going to be new with the second Vader figure, as well as eager to see the Boba Fett figure although I don't expect it to be remarkably different from the Jango one.

In general, I personally would like the 2L black pins to be a little thicker and more solid cos whenever I want to make a rigid 2L thick connection, I find it necessary to use LBG frictionless pins together with them if I have less than like 5 studs for the connection. The frictionless pins adds more "hold" than the friction pins alone, I find.

Compared to the other red parts visible that are also on the underside and in the shadow, the central diff certainly looks red to me. Also, although it looks unusual and a bit strange, I'm starting to find the 42070 B-model not too bad.

On a side-note regarding pins: I don't want to spin this thread off of topic, but I often feel like the same pins have different amount of friction and grip in different colored liftarms. For instance, a black or blue pin that sits well with good friction in a yellow liftarm often feels like it sits more poorly in a DBG or red liftarm and the other way around. I don't understand it.
