  1. I'd like to second the notion for undead pirates! I'd love to see the theme come back in a way similar to the Fantasy Era of Castle, with things like krakens and undead pirates, and so on. (Though really I'd be happy if it came back in any capacity. )
  2. This was a great announcement to wake up to this morning! It looks so fantastic, and I can't wait to see the other sets (especially the D2C now!). Though I'm surprised nobody's talked about the new Hagrid molds?
  3. I think it should be able to be, like how the Fairground sets have options to easily add Power Functions to them.
  4. Maybe the tree itself is built on a bit of a hill, so there can be a secret passage (door flap thing) under it? To tie in to a potential future Shrieking Shack set?
  5. I am so hyped for this theme! I got two of the last wave's sets (Quidditch Match and Forbidden Forest), but I always regretted not getting more of them. I'm definitely not going to miss a single one of these sets, though I really hope at least one has a Ravenclaw torso: my avatar's been in the wrong house for way too long.
  6. Even The Forbidden Forest was pretty good: it was a cheap way to get Voldemort and Hagrid, plus Narcissa who was exclusive, and the build, while nothing exciting, wasn't awful.
  7. Another book reference to note is the flute in the original Fluffy set: Harry only used a flute to put Fluffy to sleep in the book.
  8. Good news then: the Dimensions Minifigures use the 3 length bars!
  9. Hopefully we'll get Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff torsos this time around. My sigfig has been in the wrong house for too long!
  10. Outstanding! The exterior is impressive in its own right, but I did not expect the interior to be as beautifully detailed as it was! The lighting really takes it to another level too.
  11. Wow, this set looks even better than I expected! With this and the Saturn V this year has been great for Ideas so far!
  12. It should. I've played a lot of other LEGO games on PC (through Steam), and there's always a "press (I forget which button) to start" under the second character's portrait.
  13. I'm a bit bummed to see 3DS isn't on that list, as I've gotten almost every other LEGO game on either that or the original DS. I'm still super excited for this though, and also really glad I bought a PS4 last year!
  14. It's all about how you orient them: if you have them with the eyelid on the bottom they look happy.
  15. Fun at the DMV would be a winner for sure! But seriously, I'd love a Fun at the Fairground, to go along with the Fairground sets. Those sets already come packed with Minifigures, but I would love a small set with some more, plus a couple small side builds, a la the dunk tank and contest of strength from the Mixer.
  16. Wow, that's it! I might have to try to build it again. Thanks for the link!
  17. I vaguely remember seeing a combiner model similar to these with Tahu Nuva and Kohrak-Kal. Does anybody else remember that or am I imagining it? All I really remember is the halves of Kohrak-Kal's body were on the shoulders.
  18. I just got the Fairground Mixer last year, and next time there's double points I'm getting the Ferris Wheel, so I'm really excited to hear this line is continuing!
  19. I always love seeing Harry Potter MoCs, and this one is no exception! I especially love how you didn't base it completely off the movies: it gives it its own identity.
  20. I love that these use the same style as the 2011 sets. I may have to pick up one or two just for the cars.
  21. I've played only a little bit of Battles Ninjago, so I can't talk too much on that one. I think regular Battles is a bit better, even if only for the novelty of Space, Pirates, and Castle fighting each other.
  22. I'll second this, assuming it's like the DS version. Similarly Lord of the Rings is great, though again that's assuming it's like the DS version, which I believe it is. Legends of Chima has a pretty expansive and immersive open world, and I don't really care too much for the theme (i don't dislike it, but it didn't really stand out to me). The first marvel Superheroes is really unique, and not really bad, but definitely watch some gameplay videos to get a feel for it. It's great in small bursts though. Pirates of the Caribbean was great. One of my favorite parts of the handheld versions of the LEGO games is their uniqueness: sure a lot of them follow the same formula, but then you have ones like Marvel and The Hobbit (which is one of my favorites, though I'll admit I'm a bit biased there) which shake things up and are really refreshing, even more so than the console versions. Sorry that got kind of long, but I hope it helped!
  23. More popular than a line of Pirates of the Caribbean or Fantastic Beasts sets, both of which had or are going to have current big film releases? And I don't think any LEGO game has sold out of release (though I'd love to be proven long there), so I find that unlikely. And I'm going to leave my argument on this note: this isn't the thread for this.
  24. I would be. Other than the show juno2023 mentioned (which is my first time hearing about it) there's no current media for the Flintstones to my knowledge, and other franchises that just got new sets that do have currently running shows or movies, like Ghostbusters, Doctor Who, Fantastic Beasts, and Pirates of the Caribbean, only got a few sets, and Pirates only got one. And the only reason the first three got a video game was because of Dimensions. So if LEGO suddenly announced Flintstones sets and a video game I would be very surprised.
  25. I'm not a game programmer, but I don't think it's that simple. for one thing the cutscenes would have to be changed: voice acting just wouldn't fit with the current mimed ones. And as to the hub worlds you couldn't just combine them since there's locations that overlap yet work differently. Like the grounds might have certain puzzles in Years 1-4 but completely different ones in 5-7, so just combining them would cause more problems than it's worth.
