  5. It was their first patrol in Carrefour. Less did they know about the terrorists, limited in their intelectual abilities but heavily armed by our enemy, which were waiting for the first ambush on regular troops. Seconds before the clash, Private Johannson finally found some of those famous Briolui cookies.... 0 More pics here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jansued2/

  7. In the name of our proud nation and on behalf of our ambassador Chuck Dizzle, the Commonwealth of the Southern Territories, newly appointed secratary of defense Jane Trommel is taking the word: P6030676 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr Ladies and Gentlemen, we now heard a lot of accusations, explanations and excuses. So what are the facts? 1. A COAC soldier was arrested while undertaking some kind of mission in the territory of Xenor. That is a fact, not even denied by COAC. And they still claim that they respect your neutrality. Hypocrits! 2. Then there is this blurry picture of troops in deep snow. Xenor claims that this is a) within their borders b) it shows our troops and c) they can erase it with an air attack. I can help you with the facts on No. 2.: After COAC attacked Briolui we had to prepare ourselves for the next possible steps in this campaign - which seems to be an invasion an all Studica countries. So we have to assume that Toohati, Swintoc and Xenor are next on the list. So we put small outpost in all the endangered regions to survey any possible enemy movements. We got a lot of intel about the plans of COAC - believe me. If I were in your shoes, Mr. Bricknuss, I would be very afraid and utterly cautious against any declarations made from COAC. In the end I must admit that we have an outpost. But it is simply not on Xenor grounds. I can proof this - just look at the weather. There is no or just very little snow in Xenor at the moment. Weather by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr this is not enough snow to match the amount of snow in this picture (what we have taken in the daylight!) PB210263 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr Our Outpost is located in Swintoc, E7. My guess is that your drone must be somehow influenced by COAC technology. So I would suggest that you re-evaluate the situation. You are in great danger to be invaded by the frustated troops we repelled in Carrefour. We offer you our assistance like sharing our intel - but don't even try to attack any of our outposts.
  8. Thanks to the honorable judges ;-)
  9. Report from General-elect JanSued. After a very thoughtful discussion, the military masterminds of RoN developed the Strategical Masterplan "Ripsaw" where a carefully orchestrated attack within 3 Divisions and 8 Operations will take place to free Carrefour! At this moment, most of the operations are in full swing and the whole thing looks very good. Internal Communication takes place through a new man-portable SatComm System. The goal of operation 6 is the capture of the Southern Part of the Airport CIA (Carrefour International Airport). Therefore the elite tank reconnaiossance group was chosen. With their fast WIESEL 3 tanks there were able to outrun most of the Technicals which are used by the defenders. The operation had a bad start. Troops nearly ran into a booby-trapped road block. They came to a full stop and had to rethink their plans. Right now they used the subway system to flank the roadblock and in the attempt to attack a stronghold. To secure the subway tunnels, the flamethrower was used: Then our men poured into the tunnel system and gave suppressive fire so the tanks could advance: The WIESEL with the 35mm Cannon went first and cleared very quickly the sourround buildungs The other WIESEL gave fire support with his automatic mortar: At the end of the fight, troops searched every building - and they found a lot og drunken officers in the "Lady in Red"... [Note: Due to the time, I used some LEGO sets: Street cleaner, the Bus, the blue trash can and the green truck is derivated from the snowplow....]

(GBW- CP4) Plantasea - Goodnight Carrefour

Very nice moc! The idea with the Favelas is great. I like the complexety and the size of it. A lot of eye-candy. But like Farradin said, too much details may become a little bit chaotic. Maybe it helps if you limit the amount of different colours. Maybe. Overall a very nice Moc!

Very good story! I like the tactical thinking. And the idea of a light ground attack plane... - the airplane is a little bit bulky. Maybe use the perspective and built a micro airplane? - as always: Pls more details more eye-candy. But I know time and bricks arer limited.... Good job overall!
  14. Hidden deep on the mountains of Legon in a secret weapon laboratoy a group of scientists developed a new weapon: Little Blitzer. His Big Brother, Blitzer will be an asset for the CoST Navy some day ( Spoiler), but little Blitzer is designed for urban warfare and to attack heavily armored objects. The projectile is made from solid ultra strength steel and is accelerated by an elecrotmagnetic impulse up to 4500 mph. PA030167_1 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr PA030173 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr The only limitation at this time are the very heavy batteries. They weigh around two tons and develop enough energy for 5 shots. And - errm - we are stillnot sure if there are any side effects by creating such enourmos magnetic impulses. So we did some precautional measures. PA030178 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr But here we go again: Today we will test the penetration capabilities of little Blitzer. PA030161 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr Ready to go! 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 3 - - 2 - - 1 ...... 15. Mobilitiy. Nothing tops mobilitiy on a battleground. When threats pop up on the field of battle, nothing can turn the tide quite like fresh faces willing to stop the enemy. After COAC troops took parts of the capital city and a small fishery port they thought their seaside flank is safe because of the that big lake with the rough shore. What a mistake.... Using an old bunker, only a small number of COAC troops were present in the port. So Military Command decided to start the Operation "Heart of Gold" in which a small Naval force would counterattack the COAC at a place where they never would suspect it. The first idea was to use the LCAC after returning from the Search&Rescue Mission but it soon was clear that it was too big and loud. Then a LCU (Landing Craft, Utility) from the Amphibious Assault Ship "Iron Storm" at Southern Coast of Studica was dispatched. It went on the River Innerste through Toohati and Briolui. IMG_9654 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr To weaken the target the FREMM "The Wiwaxia" fired a missile to destroy the bunker. The second one is milliseconds away from retiring. IMG_9670 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr Then the LCU entered the port and released a MUTT 1.1 and troops. P7310123 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr IMG_9649 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr IMG_9647 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr The Commander aims the MUTT and the Turret of the LCU with his BattlePad. If needed, he will request more Naval Support or Artillery runs. IMG_9641 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr The remaining defense was quickly neutralized and now the flank was wide open for further counter attacks. The morale of those troops was somehow low.... P7310128 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr So at least, Operation "Heart of Gold", the totally unexpected attack on the flank of the enemy was no real challenge. But we now have a variety of fine seafood and the opportinity to strike fer into the hearts of our enemies. So long, and thanks for all the fish! IMG_9651 by

Great Brick War General Discussion Thread

Hallo zusammen! Well, you asked for it: 1. At first I want to support the moderators in enforcing the rules (although it hit me at FRAGO #2). Please proceed in this way... 2. I don't play / build to win. But it is not motivating to build nice MOC's and then still to loose cause some team members - forever reasons they have - don't participate. You may say this is a team problem but I think we should invent a rule like: Missing two campaign builds in a row should be seen as an act of betrayal and the individual has to be shot, banned and forced to use Megabloks. Or something similar. 3. I like the very open way of the campaign builds. But from time to time there should be also sidebuilds etc. with a very exact description of what we/you want to see. Eperienced builders will have no problem with that but it will an challenge for not that experienced builders. So the overall goal to make better builds will be achieved. 4. To make it a little bit easier, I would allow that the vehicles etc from the last campaing builds can be re-used in the side builds. 5. Sometimes I would include the climate zone and terrain in the campaign rules.. Some examples: Campaign Build Alpha (Open): Show a military operation where different parts of your military work together to achieve an tactical goal (Infantry / Armor / Navy / Air). This must take place at winter time (snow etc.) Side build Alpha One (open): Show a military checkpoint at one of your major roads. It must include at least one vehicle and the arrest of one suspect. Side Build Alpha Two (Detailed): Show exact the moment when one of the enemy tanks is hit by one of your anti-tank rockets! Side Build Alpha Three (Vehicle): Your military needs a new armored amphibous landing vehicle. It should have place for 10 soldiers and be able to defend himself against all kinds of threats.

GBW - Frago #002 CoST - To the Rescue

Well, 1 Point is better than nothing. Forgot to tell about the house, sorry.
  24. After the Secretary General of BoN requested Internatinon Assistance for the Floodings in Studica, Armed Forces and Civil Defense Units from all kind of organisations were formed together to the Flood Rescue Task Force consisting of 10 medium LCAC from the CoST Marines Corps with additional Personal from the Coast Guard (Light power boats), Fire Service Specialists for Swift Water Rescue, a Medical Team from an Forward Operating Base and even civilian divers which offered the help. Due to the high winds, our helicopters NH90 C couldn't start, so the rescue effort would be mainly done through the LCAC. P7050076 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr With the Swiftwater team in standby, the powerboat left the LCAC and went for the rescue of an old lady and her nephew from a flooded home. P7050077 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr Not only the humans were rescued, in this case we had to save also several dogs and pets. P7050072 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr To avoid unnecessary conflicts, we reached an agreement with COAC-Members that in this case military verhicle could operate in COAC member states. No heavy arms were allowed and our vehicles had to be marked with orange stripes. P7050063 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr The rescue operation is still ongoing and we are awaiting the surely overwhelming response by COAC states....
