  1. Great alt! Your creativity is inspiring.
  2. Amazing car, very well done. You did a great job on creating all the angles, and the color suits it really well.
  3. How do you make these nice and clean proportions. I'd like to try that. Nice entry, and I had the same thought: this has to be a piterx entry
  4. Try making a realistic landing-gear for airplanes. I feel your pain.
  5. Great job on this tank. You must be a huge world of tanks fan. I am, and everything you build is easily recognisable. That engine looks awesome. Your pile of grey parts must be huge, or do you recycle them.
  6. Congratulations winners! First place was well deserved. Thanks for all the people voting for my entry, but i see i need to step up my game a bit. Anyway, nice contest, lots of nice entries. Thanks Ted/Jim for making things possible.
  7. 9: 10 21: 6 27: 4 37: 3 40: 2 28: 1 Good job to all of the contestants. It's a pleasure to see what creativity spawns from these limited builds. It makes voting hard.
  8. Sariel, if you had to pick just one set from all of them, what would it be?
  9. It must be 1st of december somewhere on this planet, right?
  10. Hello all. This is my entry for the [TC5] competition: Helix, a Police Helicopter with intermeshing rotors. This build is a combination of 42002 and 42020. and After some trial and error, this is what I came up with: Functions: - Spinning rotors, controled by rear rotor - Retractable landing gear, controled by grey axle connector on the right Optical: - Cockpit with seats, steps and instruments - Flashlights on front and back Build: The angle for the intermeshing rotors is created with both the pin connector blocks. Almost all gears in both sets are needed here to create the intermeshing rotor system. I also wanted a retractable landing gear. It has seen several build, but the final system is an easy but realiable sliding system. (controled by the grey axle connector). Testing: Testing of this creation is done by my two year old daughter. She loved the spinning of the rotors. No bricks were harmed during testing. Will add more pictures later. Cheers or comments most welcome. Thanks for reading!
  11. Thank you all for the kind words. Here are some extra pictures, or checkout my bricklink

  13. I really hope 42039 is a nice set. The prelim pictures looked nice, the finished model looked different, so now i'm hoping the final product is a surprise in the positive way. I really like these kind of racing cars (le mans etc.). Stop teasing us Sariel!
  14. NOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  15. yeah, i switched the remotes aswell, they work fine. Both remotes had trouble with the same receiver, but worked fine with the other.
  16. So, i swapped the remote control functions, the receivers, etc. and it's definitely the receiver. The first receiver works even from 4 meters away, the other barely at 30 cm. I'm a bit disappointed. My first remote controlled technic set, and then this happens. I guess getting in contact with customer service is the next step.
  17. So, i just assembled the 42030. I have setup all things properly, but the receiver controlling forward/backward motion and the tilting of the bucket is responding really bad. The range is max 30 cm. I can control the steering from 2 meters away easily. This is done with the other receiver. Do i have a bad IR receiver, or is there anything else that might be broken? Edit: can we turn this into a general power functions help and questions topic? Might be usefull (pinned etc.)
  18. Sounds like something rebrickable should/could have Anonymous, that is. edit: ninja'ed
  19. Looking good. The studded build is a nice variety. It's hard to see though, the black is hard to photograph, and the dust isn't helping either ;-) Keep on going!
  20. And... ordered! When it hit the stores € 160 was the price I was aiming for. So 150 is a nice price i think. Especially with all the PF parts.
  21. Dude, thank you so much for this. 42030 for € 150 is an awesome price. Now, to persuade the wife...
  22. That abrams looks quite ok. Simple and clean, but still good looking. If you don't want to invest in normal bricks this is a good way to build a tank. I like it.

    [C-MODEL] 42009 - Truck

If it's not to much effort, can you upload the pictures to brickshelf, flickr or bricksafe? Would be much appreciated.
