LEGO Marvel's Avengers Video Game Discussion
Captain Britain replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Hi all - I haven't played this game for long but last night I got into NYC and robbed a car (exactly what Cap does.. right?). Is it me or is the steering shoooooooocking? I'm not expecting anything 'car accurate' of course, but the things hardly turn?!- 647 replies

Collecting Star Wars minifigs: how did you start?
Captain Britain replied to aabdguy87's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Agree with all of these - all great advice! My most recent method has been buying the sets in full, removing all minifigs then reselling the sets on eBay as jdm44 described. If you're based in the UK then you can get a bit of a result when Argos do their 3 for 2! I picked up all the Age of Ultron sets and the DC sets that were out at the same time and got a few sets for free. I also second exactly what Robianco said about eBay. I've found it to be quite expensive with some items (Captain America from the Helicarrier set for example) here in the UK but on Bricklink he is cheaper by a HUGE amount. Even with shipping from the US I still saved a bunch on what he would have cost me here. You can definitely find some great deals on eBay if you keep on top of it - but definitely be careful of the fakes. Both Bricklink and eBay have been great for me to pick up the one or two missing minifigs though where I don't want the whole set/anyone else who comes with it. The list idea is also good advice. I created a list myself on Excel (I browsed through Bricklink and got all the details I needed) and then as I get the minifig I tick them off. A nice simple way to keep track of who I have, who's on their way and who I've still got to get! -

100% would buy and then cry afterwards... Can't confirm if that would be out of happiness or not yet though. -

From the video that went about it looked as if Ultimate Spider-Woman may in fact actually have larger eyes than the normal Spidey head. The webbing also looks heavier on Spidey's face than it does Bens. This is what I can make out from the video of all them spinning around in a circle anyway! You can catch tiny glimpses at the start and end. -

From looking at the box picture it does just look like the headpiece is an orange head. Would like something underneath but I'm not expecting it!- 8446 replies

Mass Minifigure Collection - Display Frame
Captain Britain replied to durazno33's topic in General LEGO Discussion
How much do long plates usually go for approx? I have mine encased in a frame on baseplates / sloped bricks which hold 70+ (can't remember the exact quantity.. 72 maybe?) and I think each frame come to about £25/£26. bricks cost about £3.60, baseplate cost about £12/£13 and the frame £9.00 from IKEA. Might be more expensive but I prefer then behind glass to save them getting dusty etc and then they are all the same colour wise.- 8 replies

DC Super Heroes - 76052 Batman™ Classic TV Series - Batcave
Captain Britain replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Licensed
It's expected to be a special polybag released with the Batcave set.. although not sure if it's expected to be VIP release or something? I think they did the same sort of thing with the Helicarrier where they gave out The Winter Solider with it as a special then a few months later it was given away with orders over £50 odd. If I'm wrong please correct me anyone -

No worries! Was on minifigurepriceguide (to give credit to whoever posted it originally!). Not sure about Scarecrows face close up - looks like he has frowning eyes though. Killer Moth looks like a mask over an orange head maybe? Plus a new bats is always cool!- 8446 replies

I think the Banshee from the Monster minifigure series has a transparent black hair piece. -
My condolences also. Lego wise - The majority of my friends know and they quite like Lego themselves which is a bonus. My family know and aren't fussed and luckily both my girlfriend and I collect together .

Nice touch! I think mine came to a total of £42.99 but I've just checked and it's actually gone up to £44.99! I'll count myself lucky . Looking forward to putting him together when I get home later.
