    Assembling Bricksburg

In keeping with comparing the LEGO Movie buildings with existing sets, here's a comparison between the Bricksburg church and the set that provided the church's tower. It's not mentioned in the images, but the the ice cream cart in this image and the one with the "fish" building comes from 10211 Grand Emporium. Movie church compare by Xon 67, on Flickr mrbradford: edgeofpanic has already released an .lxf file of Emmet's apartment building and interior for his LEGO ideas proposals: https://ideas.lego.c...s/83089/updates I'm still trying to decide which ones I'm going to release at this point.

For anyone interested, here are two of the Bricksburg buildings that I've been asked to share in .lxf format: The Fire Brigade: http://www.brickshel...ire_brigade.lxf ... and Joe the Plumber's apartment: http://www.brickshel...the_plumber.lxf For agadoijo and anyone else interested in adding some details to their existing modular buildings: Here are some Bricksburg accessories from the Movie, including garbage containers, rooftop details, a street corner, billboards, and the mosaics from the "fish" and "fresh fruit" buildings: Bricksburg - Accessories by Xon 67, on Flickr lxf file: http://www.brickshel...accessories.lxf Poisso3: I haven't seen any such list. It would be interesting to see!

Thanks for the comments! elleana & lightningtiger: I'd love to build these brick-wise, but time, money, and physical space prevent it. That's why I opted for LDD. timmyc1983: There was a purple townhouse in the physical set in Finn's basement. I haven't seen one yet in the movie while I've been scouring it for screen grabs to build off of. I'm trying to re-create these builds as closely as I can to what is in the movie. I find that some of them have "floating" pieces that aren't connected to anything. While it wouldn't take much to correct the "floaters," some builds use parts that aren't made in the color used on-screen. (Insert discussion on whether or not to use paint here... :-) ) And then there's WyldStyle's cycle with the non-existent LEGO gear for the rear wheel. (Insert discussion on 3D printing here... :-P ) For now, here's another one: Movie church by Xon 67, on Flickr
