Hi, I have been collecting modular houses since 2010, right now i have Market Street, Green Grocer, Fire Brigade, Grand Emporium, Pet Shop, Town Hall and Palace Cinema. Picture below showing how i arranged the modular houses altogether, and also i created a simple "Park" in order to create the litte "activities" going on in the city. I really think, when i get the "Parisian Restaurant", I need to "demolish" my gas station so that "PR" can fit into my city. Do you guys think it's a good idea? Let me know what you think. Suggestion or Critique are all welcome.

That is really a very good idea... L shaped table ..... hmmm that way, I don't have to worry about making my park bigger... but I can continuously display the coming modular houses. thanks LT

thanks guys for all your comments @LT & Gunm: You are right, i need bigger table space. Hopefully i can come up with some solutions, i guess i still have 9 months time to think abou right, before the new modular coming up? @Zabdiel: Thanks for your recommendation on the park..

At last, I have managed to get the Parisian Restaurant as part of my collection. I then "remove" my gas station and replace it with the PR. What do you guys think about the lay out?

Impressive layout you have there. Love the gas station, the additional floor of the police station and the way you set up the commercial, residential and public infrastructure areas. I too have both modular houses and city set collections. So far I only set a lay out for my modular houses. Your layout inspires me to create another layout for my city sets. I will post the photo here once I manage to set the layout . thanks for sharing

That is very excellent work....I really get the "feeling" of the "real" SA bank...really nice SA bank sticker logo you got there too....keep bricking on mate....

what about fitting it to the winter village series?

Great review "Prezes". I am also putting this set as one of my priority. I might use this set to accompany my Winter Village Sets. The scenario would be this vehicle is used by the Christmas Tree Sellers (from the Winter Village Bakery set) to chop off the trees in the village.

This set is actually quite good for furnishing the modular house of mine. I was thinking may be it is quite nice to furnish my Pet Shop? Thank you so much for the great review, "Red Head 1982".

well. I still prefer this to the new one. The building looks more "normal", more "real", to the AFOL. while the new one can be more fun for the kid as it offers more playability. Well, that's my very personal opinion. I could be biased on this since I have owned this version and have no intention to buy the new one

Looking forward to see you city layout Don't forget to post the photos of your residential areas

it is a very amazing creation. and all that can be done on 32 x 32 base plate? cool...
-
wow that looks very promising.. very interesting that you are eager to make the base of HH first rather than building the HH itself. Looking forward to see the photo of your HH sitting on top of the your well designed base plate :)
-
sure thing. I think my table should be able to accomodate 4 x 8 32 stud baseplate. It is just that I want my city layout being surrounded by the train track. Hence, I can only use 3 x 6 32 stud baseplate. I took a photo for you, the helicopter view of my layout. Hope it helps :) see... there are still some space available on the edge of the tracks Still the view of the town is at its best if we see it from this angle :)

At first, I was not interested in the Fire Brigade either. but a piece of advice from my friend kept buzzing me "it is better to regret that you have bought the set, rather than to regret that you have not bought the set". Well, you can always sell the set if you think it's not worth it. Fire Brigade, to me, it did not look very interesting when I looked at it from the photo, but after building it, it really changes my opinion, now I really love the Fire Brigade, the dark red tile, the golden bell, and the garage in the middle of the building. it is such a great addition to your city. Although, I don't quite like the antique car, but overall it is a nice set. that's my two cent :) -
Dear All, Thank you so much for the your suggestions and input, "Sin". When I have the PR, I will post the photos by: - removing the road plate near the park and move MS there and placing PR on the spot formerly occupied by Market street or - removing the gas station, and placing PR facing to the park. If that's the case,I really think it might be better to build PR with the chimney of "left" side, rather than "right" side, so that it can add details when we see the town as a whole. However we can only enjoy the "back" part of the PR. Well, well, what a dilemma.... you are right "Wodanis", I need more space

well "mkeller234", I have not yet seen Parisian Restaurant (PR) in person, as it has not yet arrived in Indonesia for at least two-three month time . But I still think it's the best by far. The part that I like most is the detail it has at the back of the building, which I think it will look OK in my city, if it is to replace the Gas Station spot. "LT", I have seen a lot of your "Aussie" Lego city. I used to be an overseas student in Adelaide back in early 2000 and I have to admit it really gives me that nostalgic feeling in Aussie. Good work mate
