Since the "cat" is out of the bag, she briefly suits up again. For a completely different reason.

I'm in for at least 3 Piranha Chases. What a neat little set. I only wish the little crab mech was more easily acquired in numbers. -

I see your (and others') point. But Dareth was a part of the show and integral to the plot with speaking lines from the very beginning. He deserved a figure as much as Misako did. It doesn't appear he's in the small December wave. My hunch is that the Dec wave, to coincide with the home video release, is the final movie wave as the brand will then shift back to the TV show for Season 8 and beyond. It would take a box office opening north of $50 million to convince me otherwise (Warner Bros. is estimating $30 million). We're getting most of the "marketable" set ideas and characters from the movie already anyway. The only exception I can think of as seen in the trailers and a missed opportunity... Would I want his figure? Absolutely! But I just don't see it happening as anything other than an out-of-left-field exclusive polybag down the road. -

Apples and oranges comparison. The movie plays up comedy and a broken father/son relationship that any kid can instantly relate to. The show has more time to focus on deeper lore and heart. It's still a fun movie and worth seeing at the theater. Support the franchise! :)

The review embargo is Wednesday morning so there will be plenty of opinions then. Having seen it, In a nutshell....

I saw it as well. Keep in mind some of the sets were likely designed based off artwork alone and not moving animations. -

As far as a wave of sets go I agree. It's simply the best. Ever. Go watch the Ninjago TV series on Netflix from the beginning and you'll find yourself tracking down older sets and figures as well :) -
I'm a little late to this party but want to commend you on everything, especially the monorail conversion! It looks great on the old track. Hopefully you can get some nice lift to it. Someday I'd like to do something similar with a monorail that hangs down below the track. No idea how, but figuring it out is half the fun.

This set frankly confuses me based on what is shown in the art book. I'll reserve judgment until we see the actual set composition images.

Marketing 101. They, i.e the publicists, want eyeballs on the movie product so they put them in the hands of YouTube "influencers" who get them views. -

Another vote for Mech Dragon. Next to the incomparable Bounty it's the signature set for this wave. Not to mention it includes the currently exclusive robed Garmadon. Add a couple Jelly Subs down the line for the dragon to battle. -

The golden flowers could be cat food. They could also be uncultivated catnip flowers used to lure Meowthra back into the wild and away from the city. I'd say one or the other is a strong possibility. I lean toward the latter. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catnip Anyway, back to toys. My Walmart sets bought during the launch sale arrive today. Can't wait. -

My eventual plan for CMF: go to Lego Store. Ask for fresh box from back. Buy 20 from one column. Hand back rest of box. Done. -

Those Walmart prices are from the future, what we'll see around the holidays. They ARE on Walmart.com, but you have to look a little harder to find them. -

I love that a $160 NInjago set has seemingly sold out across Lego online and shops. I can be patient and pick it up a little later. Strong brand sales help us all in the long run. -

By me I see some in stock, others not. The two I want now, Jelly Sub and Nya's Water Strider, are both apparently out of stock in every area Walmart. How fishy. -

I see everything as out of stock except for the common pieces. This is Bricks and Pieces, buy pieces, right? -

I'm wondering if any retailer will have a first week deal of some sort. Probably not, but you never know. -

Back on topic... any new set sightings? I gave Target and TRU a shot yesterday and struck out at both. Also, someone should start a Ninjago 2018 sets thread. The Comic-Con teaser showed a couple vehicles and several potential figures. -

Yes, Piranha Mech is one of the rumored winter wave sets, along with the Volcano Base. I love the Piranha Mech design and it's the most army-buildable set, assuming they keep it in that $15 to $20 range. -

Five seasons and the prelude being readily available on Netflix doesn't hurt exposure. Opening weekend box office numbers vs LEGO Batman's haul will tell all.
