Old Bionicle parts you'd want to see brought back for Gen 2?

Because Protectors are way smaller than a Toa.

People don't like the 2.0 foot? What's wrong with it? It's a fine foot piece, and like DraikNova said, putting them sole-to-sole makes for cool armour pieces.

I just assumed three gold, three silver is sort of like how, say, the Piraka had two gold, two silver, two gunmetal. It's just an accent colour, not meant to denote anything.

Gali has the most unified colour scheme of all, though. You act like the dark azure and trans light blue are contrasting colours. They're not. Same with the silver and gunmetal. They're just different shades of the same colour, and two of them are neutrals! That's the exact oppsite of a "mess," it may be the most thoughtfully planned out and excellently executed of all the Toa. (also, does anyone else think biased reviews on a resource site is kinda of an oxymoron?) Monotone/duotone colourschemes are so damn bland. I'm more than sick of all my favourite characters become one solid shape of a colour with minor accents made of neutrals. While the monotonous colours of the original Toa won't sour in my mind anytime soon, some of my other favourite designs from anything ever are characters like Transmetal Tarantulas from Beast Wars, or Genesic GaoGaiGar. All use multicoloured schemes that are so unified and cleverly executed because the similar colours work with eachother and the contrasting colours contrast well. EDIT: BTW, Aanchir, that video is cool. Though I personally think the tracking shots would've been better as still images being zoomed around, and the blaring techno music is ill-fitting, mad props to TTV for doing something like that. You'd think in this day an age, super high-rez pics and video of anything could be found, but that's the best quality I've personally seen of Gali besides with my own eyes, obviously. Also: I know, right? And best of all, she's not overtly feminine. She has the same pectoral chest as 4/5ths the reast of the Toa, but just clever armour placement and limbs sizes evoke a female form without being gratuitous. (perfectly complimenting the mask)

Funny, the mix of solids, metallics, and clear parts is exatcly what makes the new sets exciting to me. Like Gali is my favourite CCBS set, and it's all because of the very cool and unified colours. Then on the flip side, characters like Tahu offer constrasting colours for a unique design. (I've never felt compelled to replace the silver feet and hands on him) I also really like Kopaka's colours. I like them all, really. I dunno, I guess I just consider mono-colour schemes a G1 thing, and G2 is all about new and different.

I'd be down for spooky scary Toa. Or, they could reprent powered-up versions that are DBZ-ing it up.Clear plastic CCBS is never not a good thing. Something about the crystal clear colours Lego uses... it's sweet.

But what about blending them the other way? Using different aspects not present in the current mask lineup.

Is it this review?: I assume you mean the little green blob minifigs? I don't think so. They were said to be larger and projectiles, and rubbery.

You could use longer limb pieces and bulkier armour on Onua to give him a larger size while keeping the burly look. It'd be different from the original shrimp-puff set but evoking the "muscle" look.

I would be all up-and-down on "Nuva" Toa with new weapons and builds. Maybe make a new armour piece to compliment the piston addon. New weapon moulds would be sweet and of course new masks. The villains would ideally be unique characters for me. I tire easily of horde variants as main villain sets.

I'm not sure how "original" I'd call the Element Lords. They were all kinda just simple, generic designs. One was like a blobby Swam Thing, one was a dome helemt on a scray face, one was just a fish bowl, etc. None of those would make decent masks, in my opinion. They're far too basic.

    [MOC] Lord of Skull Spiders

I don't have any piston pieces, or an orange head. (I'm waiting for the summer wave to grab an extra whoever for one) It absolutely wasn't my first choice of head, and if I ever get, like, a second Tahu or Onua I'll definitely be added gold piston shells somewhere. (probably the lower arms, which IMO would help beef them up as well) I mean, I only had the LOSS set and a handful of Hero Factory leftovers.

I've actually since enhanced the legs by using the LOSS's trans-orange liftarms, so they're more solid and easy to pose. (I also flipped the orange Bohrok eyes to hug up against the sivler shoudler spikes so they're not in the way of posing) He actually doesn't need to stand on all six now. Four legs cut it, but then he wouldn't be a spider if he didn't have eight limbs. Sorry you don't think it's creepy enough, but I wasn't really aiming for creepy. Enough 'creepiness' comes from the simple fact that it's a half-dude-half-spider, but my goal was to make him look like a "Lord." I don't feel like overdoing it with little details is gonna help anything, since I already have him covered in barbs (to evoke the original set) and spikes for the dangerous-look, but he's also supposed to be an intelligent, tactical being commanding a legion. He's supposed to be a counterpart to the Toa, only bigger and with spider-legs. :p

All the voices in the Korean version were awesome, really. It's a damn shame because Gali is easily my favourite of 2015 both in set and personality.

The interview with the writer explains the decision, though. They weren't meant to talk as much, since all dialogue is the narrator's. Lego wanted more dialogue, but things were set in stone by that point. Maybe next year?

Whomever the narrator is, he's putting on different tones and inflection for every character anyway, he could be embelishing his own voice.Or it could be a different Protector of Fire. But saying it's not him because the voices aren't the same is directly contrary to the real life fact of all the voices being the same guy.

How would you even chrome plastic like that?

    Bionicle 2015 Discussion

As much as I like the concept art, there's no way it could decently translate to plastic. It's far too dependant on thick lines and deep shading for it's appeal. I'd love a comic series in that style, but remember these masks are going to end up as solid pieces of one-coloured plastic.

I absolutely agree on that last piece. It feels weird that it hasn't been remade, since the new socket design is perfect and it's a versitile piece. I'd honestly like to see all G1 Bionicle bones be remoulded to include the new socket, even the Glatorian limbs with the outward facing axle holes. I'd like to see some weapons come back, like Hewkii Mahri's staff blade, in flat silver. They brought back Guurahk's staff head, afterall...
