What was your first major City/Town building?

My LEGO life started with 6673 Solo Trainer and 1682 Space Shuttle on Christmas of 1990.

How many pieces do you have?

I have 40 sets and 72 CMFs totaling 25,992 according to Brickset. My total number is probably around 30,000 when including my miscellaneous pieces.

No apology needed...I was just curious and of course your GIFs are great. I know LEGO's are a hobby for most and hobbies don't pay the bills...Thanks

Does anyone know the string length for the crane in this set? I am missing the string and need to purchase one.

    Lucky LEGO finds

Just bought 6543 Sail N' Fly Marina on eBay for $73 total, missing only the instructions and most the stickers. Not too bad, I figure no more than $10 more for instructions and I know how to make my own stickers. Not sure if anyone would qualify this as lucky but its definitely the cheapest I've seen and cheaper even than the original MSRP.

    Storage and Sorting LEGO

The blue lid containers on the left are Mainstays 5 cup containers. They come four to a pack for around $1.75 at Walmart. I'm using them for smaller sets. I am still collecting and storing my sets until I'm able to set up a permanent display.
  13. I am looking to add a set to my collection but I can only add one for now. I am leaning toward investing in the Metroliner but the Freight Rail Runner is catching my eye. Does anyone have an opinion?

4558/10001 Metroliner or 4564 Freight Rail Runner?

Thanks for your opinions...I have some thinking to do. I like the new passenger train to Cwetqo...I hope its still readily available in the next 5 to 6 months.

    NEW MEMBERS TRAIN TECH Registry

^Yeah, and it's in pretty good condition. It's incomplete though, but it was only around $10 for those missing pieces on BrickLink...

    Hello World...

    Hey from the NOLA!

Where do I begin?...My favorite themes would have to be Train and Town/City. I like those new Modular sets, they look really great and I placed an order for Grand Emporium and Green Grocer. My first sets were 1682 Space Shuttle and 6399 Airport Shuttle around the year 1991 and as a child I was hooked. Since then I amassed about 50 sets ending around the year 2004. So I'm taking inventory and organizing all my sets and as I said adding more sets as well.

    Storage and Sorting LEGO

Hello world, I've started a little project of getting an exact inventory of the sets I own and eventually adding to it. Its been a several years since I've even looked at LEGOs because of school and work. I am about 75 percent through inventory and I'm up to 72 sets ranging from 6399 to 6898. I've found that for storage, using Sterilite 6 Qt/5.7 L containers for the larger sets is the perfect answer. They're durable, secure, and stack-able. I purchased several from Walmart for $1 each and recommend them to anyone who needs a storage solution.
