dimka_ya Posted May 26, 2022 Bought a HW custom 71 el camino. Couldn't resist the temptation to design it out of a Lego :) On 5/24/2022 at 11:09 AM, brickhead_07 said: This looks so cool! AColtsFan Posted June 8, 2022 This is really impressive! I'm curious, though--the width is what I would call eight studs wide, but you call it eight pins wide. Is there a subtle difference I'm not picking up here, or are the two terms synonymous? Because I've never encountered the "pin" terminology before (I mean, I know what a pin is as a Lego/Technic object, but I've never seen the word "pin" be used as a Lego unit of measure). Somehow I did not think where I got such a designation. Maybe because I sometimes try to build something from the Lego Technic and look at the communities associated with it :) I understand that in relation to the Lego System it is more correct to consider the dimensions in the "studs". But in fact the size is the same - let's leave my designations as they are :)) p.s. although I might change in the future.
Ravelino Posted June 9, 2022 It’s sad Lego doesn’t release most of those pieces in metallic colours (yet), great job on these renders!

This is Lego - you can replace it with light bluish gray and it will be about the same :)

Thanks for the explanation--I hope it didn't come off as me suggesting your terminology was in any way wrong (and if it did, I apologize), I just wanted to make sure I fully understood what you meant and that there wasn't some subtle difference I was missing.
