Completely missed this thread until it was mentioned by @Paperinik77pk in his BR 80 topic yesterday.

On the 2nd shelf from the top, there's almost the entire range of LGB models of the day, replicated in LEGO!
From left to right: Stainz, Austrian Class U, "Spreewald", Heeresfeldbahn HF 110 C "Frank S.", SEG Mallet, Western locomotive, Schöma diesel locomotive.
:wub_drool:
Why, oh why didn't these models make their way into the official product range? That would have been sooooo cool!

Davide, now it's up to you to bring these engines to life again...

Anyone else notice that the steam locomotive 4th from the left on the top row  of 12v prototypes seems to have larger wheels with rims? Maybe they experimented with a larger motor...

I think there is a small wheel  above the big wheel also with traction tyre. This wheel has a piston rod attached.. is it possible that the big wheels turn the small wheel when the train moves?

In general there are some very interesting piston rod configurations on that shelf.

I'm in love with that "long(correct length for a train)" metroliner!
