Take in mind the CMF is likely to include a mere 12 figures.

So is it mcu based?

Unlikely but the dominance of the MCU in the CMF series had me wishing we would just get comic Thor, Punisher/Daredevil, Guardians of the Galaxy, and X-Men sets to cover the characters I want to see. Its a fever dream but I would love to see it happen.

I hope LEGO goes all out on the minifigure selection for the Daily Bugle.  As much as I'd like a ton of villains being included, I suspect LEGO would also want to include characters relevant to the Daily Bugle itself.  Perhaps we'd end up with J. Jonah Jameson, Peter Parker, Eddie Brock, Betty Brant, and Robbie Robertson for that purpose.

As far as I am concerned they have already given us good comic versions of:

  • Kraven The Hunter
  • Venom
  • Sandman
  • Carnage
  • Mysterio
  • Doctor Octopus
  • Vulture
  • Scorpion
  • J.J.Jameson
  • Green Goblin
  • Hobgoblin
  • Aunt May

I'm not sure what figures they could really add to the set that would make people desperate for it? Maybe they'll throw in the comic Avengers to help sell the set?

Falcon went 'well' when a remark was made about the CMF series being based solely on the comics... personally I think it's a blend of MCU and comics.

They might put kingpin, daredevil, electro, lizard or prowler and maybe even the whole sinister six. Who knows. I think spare fantastic four might have a slim chance of appearing given it’s on the video game and was featured on the lair.

I think a set with kingpin, daredevil, prowler, the original sinister six in comic accurate costumer, jj Jameson, Spider-Man, Peter Parker, MJ, venom and maybe another Spider-Man might be posible and probably make a lot of people desperate

Remember the amount of minifigures Star Wars d2c have, I wouldn’t discard this set not having as much.

For Spidey villains we're missing Chameleon, Electro, Tombstone, Hammerhead, Hydroman, Shocker, bigfig Venom, Rhino and Kingpin. Plenty of wiggle room for them.

Daredevil is also really likely for a hero inclusion.

I’ll have to wait and see images, but at this moment I’ve lost interest in the D2C. The only marvel sets I ever buy are based on the MCU, so this would have be truly special to get me to purchase.

I think there could be more implications about this set that we should think about - the obvious one being that if it sells well, then Lego knows there is indeed a demand for marvel location sets, possibly growing our chances of getting a D2C Sanctum/Avengers Tower/Baxter Tower/X mansion.

If it is indeed modular, I might just consider buying it and replacing some buildings in my street for it just to support the notion of more Marvel location sets.

Also shame Venom is not a bigfig. What's it gonna take for Lego to make one? Marvel could probably outright buy Sony and make Venom the next star of the MCU and Lego would still either give us a minifig or a brick-built one

Well, Ninjago City was also $299.99 and had almost 20 figures so I wouldn't doubt the set would have a lot of figures as well. But of course, it wasn't "licensed".

Number 33 has actually been made.

In a perfect world, Marvel would be treated like Star Wars, and we would already have those characters. Since we don’t, we have to wishlist and make customs. I’m going to try an MCU list hypothetical, and set the parameters for myself. If anyone else wants to try, you can use these too.

1. Must include one Iron Man, one Cap, and one Thor

2. No Wandavision or Endgame

3. At least 2 characters not counting the trio must be a variation of an existing character

4. (Mostly for me, no more than one Ant Man character)

5. 12 Characters

Here’s my shot:

Iron Man mark 3

First Avenger Cap

One eyed Thor

First Avenger Bucky

Ego

Kraglin

Luis

Darcy Lewis, Thor movies

Peggy Carter

Happy Hogan

M’Baku

Kaecilius

I do have to admit that some of the missing characters could fairly easily be made in Legacy sets. If they made a Thor vs Destroyer set for example we could potentially cross Jane, Sif, Fandral, Volstagg and Hogun off our lists in one go. Definitely doesn't take away from the fact that there are a ton of characters and variants missing, including ones that would require the CMF treatment to be made properly, but if this Legacy subtheme is here to stay LEGO will be filling a ton of gaps in the next few years.

And I also definitely wouldn't mind if potential future Legacy sets include remakes of characters and variants that haven't been made in years.

No, I meant Ned Leeds. I think he came in a FFH minifig pack.

So the only leaks we are waiting for is the Disney plus set and the cmf right?

We still don't know what 76200 is. We need to find out the D2C information and the CMF series. We also have at least 2 Spider-man sets. Though that might not be all the sets we are getting this year.
