[Brick Flick] "Demain, d

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I finished my movie for a project fir my French class, and this is the result:

It's based on the French poeme "Demain, dès l'aube..." and places itself in WWI. Note the difference in uniforms of the French troops from 1914-1915 and the bayonet design.

Comments are extremely welcome, and mind this is my first brickmovie *sweet*

Excellent work Tanotrooper!

I like the way you used trans orange bricks for gunfire, smart, very smart indeed! *y*

The sound is also excellent, great music choice.

Makes me wish i payed more attention during French class X-D

2 questions:

What program did you use to make it?

And where did you get the german helmet?

I used a program called "Videomach", although it was a demo and expired in a couple of days, I had to hurry myself into making the movie.

The german helmet is made by brickforge and the german cap is a normal cap turned around.

Thank you for your comment!

That was very good. I'm not fluent in french but the story really shines through with the animation.

Well done *y*

Very nice! Especially for a first Brick Film. I really loved all the effects such as the trans clear parts for gunfire, red and yellow 'walls' for explosions, etc. *wub* *y* . The poem was very nice too. Your French soldiers almost look identical to mine :-P . Great job!

Thanks everyone for the replies! *sweet*

Yes, the movie is sad at the end, and that's what I was aiming for :'-)

The "wall" explosion was very fun to make, as I had never scene an explosion in different stages, it was a guess wich came out great! *sweet*

Ah, so you are the Belgian who made that great WWI gallery! I really love your creations! *pirate*

I'm really glad the story gets past the language border that may occur for some of you *sweet*

BTW: My French teacher is going to place this on the school site, and show it on a "open day" on our school! *sweet*

Very nice, Tanotrooper!

For a first try, this brickfilm is great. The shots are good, and the frame rate is pretty good, but most of all, it tells a great story. It's a shame you didn't have any more soldiers, it would've been amazing if you had about 10 more of each side *wub*

Great movie, and congratulations on getting it on the school site *y* *y*

Vraiment fantastique TT!

Wonderful job!

You managed to capture the story very well in this film. Dramatic fights and sad end..

The music really helped making the fights extra dramatic.

And also good use of the Avatar faces!

And also congratulations on getting it on the school site!! (oh, I just said exactly what TinyPiesRus said.. sorry! :-$ )
