Hello all. I present my new modular. A color experiment, metalic gold, pearl gold and other chrome. We have also managed to implement backlighting.

I really like the interior but I think the exterior is a bit too much and doesnt look realistic anymore. An interesting experiment nonetheless.

I had never really thought about a Jewellery store as a Modular, but it actually makes a lot of sense.  Lego for one has lots of jewel elements, and they love the whole story playing part of a potential theft/robbery which could be portrayed.

Your store looks nice, maybe a bit  golden yellow for my tastes.  but I get why you picked this colour

I agree. The exterior is just too much gold and shiny metal. But the interior is spot on. There's a lot of lovely details, furnishings and wall decorations. A much better sight. The gold as colour should be used more as an accent, not main color. Perhaps with more grey. However I do like the tiled facade.

The gold and grey exterior is lovely and elegant.  I might have added dark grey or dark tan accents to give it a little extra glow.

Cheers!

I agree, the interior is done very well but I find it a little full-on with the amount of gold in the exterior. I think in this case 'less is more'. I think it needs colour or texture to break up the facade. Most of the gold pieces used are quite flat. It's quite a sleek build but personally when I think of jewelry shops I think of an older building. Stone or maybe timber framed with gold curved decorative elements - the kind found in ninjago sets and the such. Anyway keep it up and I look forward to seeing what you do next! :classic:
