Norro Posted June 7, 2005 Anyone else got one? I missed almost the whole last year of pirates... At the time I thought they were overpriced, at current prices I'm sure of it ;) ... God Bless, Nathan
Mister Phes Posted June 18, 2005 Here's LEGO 6296 + 6263 Piraten Piratenschiff und Stadt Time left: 7 days 18 hours of a 10-day listing, Ends 27-Jun-05 03:08:57 AEST Start time: 17-Jun-05 03:08:57 AEST History: 0 bids Item location: Hamburg, Germany Posts to: Worldwide You lucky European creatures! Look at this! Been there for almost 3 days and no bids. In my part of the world something like this would already be a US$20 at least. Probably finish well over US$50 LEGO 6296 + 6263 Piraten Piratenschiff und Stadt So if you live close to Germany this could be quite a good auction for you... *glasses*
Dreamweb Posted October 12, 2005 I just ordered one. Can't wait to have another Spanish guy and the cool rare blue-coated pirate, and another skeleton. The pieces will probably right away be used in a MOC.
Sting Posted October 13, 2005 Not a bad set! There really was NOT enough of those Spanish Armada figures! I still don't own one... but one day... one day soon...

Norro Posted October 14, 2005 I remember looking at this set in a toy store and thinking it was over-priced... how was I suppose to know lego would suddenly nose-dive? God Bless, Nathan
Sting Posted October 14, 2005 I don't think any of us knew lego would nosedive Norro... I know I didn't... :'(

Cpt. Blackbeard Posted October 15, 2005 Did it come with box and inst.???
Mister Phes Posted October 15, 2005 Instructions yes, box no. I suppose the box can quite signifigantly raise the value of set.
Norro Posted October 15, 2005 Instructions yes, box no. I suppose the box can quite signifigantly raise the value of set. as could design... ;) God Bless, Nathan
Mister Phes Posted October 15, 2005 Well yes, but that's not what I meant. I meant a set with a box can fetch a much higher price than the same set without a box.
Starwars4J Posted October 16, 2005 http://cgi.ebay.com/BNIB-6296-RARE-PIRATE-...1QQcmdZViewItem >__> Only 0.99 GPB Maybe you can get a second?
Mister Phes Posted October 16, 2005 Excellent find 4J! But unfortunately buying interationally is too much of a pain in the MegaBlok for me. First I must contend with high shipping costs then I've got to worry about currency conversion fees which all adds to the cost. So what might look like a bargain at the time turns out to be not such a bargain afterall. However, someone who is closer and interested in Pirate LEGO I strongly recommend they follow this auction. Norro, you interested?
Norro Posted October 16, 2005 However, someone who is closer and interested in Pirate LEGO I strongly recommend they follow this auction. Norro, you interested? And you picked a pirate set I don't have to tempt me with... Actually I rarely buy a set without instructions (as in not at all...) and I'm currently saving speculatively for another over-priced set that looks much better in hindsight: 6081 God Bless, Nathan (who will one day hunt this set down....)
