The year 2017 will host some of the best SciFi movies.

 

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, teaser.

 

Ghost In The Shell, official trailer.

 

Finally a teaser is up for the upcoming 'Blade Runner 2049' movie.

 

Alien: Covenant, official trailer.

 

Any thoughts so far? I can only think of one thing; neo-noir cyberpunk dystopian easthetics.

It looks amazing, I was hoping that they'd release it in 2019 but then the wait would be too long I guess...

Haha, you mean 2049... Would've been a great gimmick.
Can't wait to see some more of all movies myself.

Also some movies that don't even have teasers/trailers yet; The Dark Tower, Geostorm, Mute...

I am looking forward to Valerian very much...although I expect it will take several viewings to feel like I have actually seen it.

Sorry, Valerian is a big pass from me.  Worst part of 'Suicide Squad' in a movie that looks guaranteed to give me a headache?  No thanks.

Yeah, I don't know what to think of it; on one hand it captures the Fifth Element flair, but on the other it looks like it could be a big dissapointment due to the overly used CGI.

They actually put "from the director of LUCY" in there.

Isn't that something they should hide?

 

Anyways, I'd love to give any of these a go. I love sci-fi. I'm doubting I'll see them in the theaters though. I'm thinking, Netflix or Amazon Prime. I'm probably the most curious about Ghost in a Shell. I watched the anime. I wasn't really into it that much but I'm curious.

I don't know; probably because it's his latest work... I would've put 'Leon' in there.
