marook Posted April 18, 2015 (edited) Hi All, I managed to get a used 7898 set, working just fine, but the power button on the engine does not seem to work, so I have to take out the batteries in order to power down the train, or the batteries drain over a day or so. Any recommendation or pointers if it's possible to repair it? I assume that it's supposed to turn off the power when pressed? Thanks.. marook Posted April 19, 2015 Hmm, it seems like one of the wires were not that good. Now for the big question: Is the power button supposed to Toggle the power on the train, or only power it on, and then it should power off by it self? (Like the remote does..) And we are talking about this baby:
baard Posted April 27, 2015 It should power off by itself after 7 minutes or so if idleness. I am still using one of these (taken out of the casing) to power a Robel maintenance train. It seems that it has a linking for fresh batteries though... Probably one of the reasons why RC was a short lived solution
marook Posted April 29, 2015 Ok, thanks. Mine does not power off by itself.. so guess the timer is broken.. :-/
