mikaelsol Posted April 26, 2015 At the same time the limits forces one to try to find creative ways with that small space. However, the town is connected to my drawing table ... so maybe it could expand a bit ...

marook Posted May 19, 2015 Here's the restaurant "Blå Porten" (The Blue door) that I'm currently working on. Especially the kitchen needs improvement, so I'm going to look at how the kitchen looks in the Parisian Restaurant. Looks like the pirate ship in Tivoli, Copenhagen! Nice.. mikaelsol Posted May 24, 2015 Oh! I've actually only been outside of Tivoli, but now I have to go there! :) Not much is happening in Solville. I'm waiting for the summer sets. Here's the town library, and some cars I've recently put together. And here's the towns veterinary. A rooftop pool
mikaelsol Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) Bought set 60097 today and it has turned Solville in to a chaos of construction :) Edited June 5, 2015 by mikaelsol
LAKAbricks Posted May 25, 2015 Construction is good. Not least when it is classic styled buildings :) what is your thought on City Square?
mikaelsol Posted May 25, 2015 Well, City Square is a bit expensive but you do get a lot of "sets" in the set, and I like all those "sets". The tram is really nice. I would say that this set is a must have if you're building in this scale. The car repair was bigger than I thought. Wider than a baseplate and the front windows on the bottom floor opens up. Didn't expect that detail.
lightningtiger Posted May 25, 2015 I really enjoy how you fuse classic town with modern city, keep up the AWESOME work 'mikaelsol' and Brick On !
mikaelsol Posted June 5, 2015 (edited) Built a hill. Working on the area for the tourist kiosk. Solville now has a pharmacy! And a green narrow house! Edited June 5, 2015 by mikaelsol

mikaelsol Posted June 28, 2015 Thank's for all the feedback! Much appreciated! A couple of days ago I got my hands on the yellow castle for only 30 € at a second hand store. I remember being in kindergarten as a kid and visiting another kid for his birthday party and he had a Lego town with the yellow castle in the middle. So now I'm trying to recreate that memory in my own way. A bit of a mess at the moment ... I watched a youtube video about new houses built on other houses rooftops so I got a bit inspired. LAKAbricks Posted June 29, 2015 Nice little deal, you have got there - the old, yellow castle regarding the "houses on houses", I have seen several examples of buildings in Barcelona with the upper two or three floors being built ever smaller on top of each other, so that each floor has got its own uncovered balcony/terrace on top of the floor below. It is a nice way to give the flats "gardens" and make the city even more green. Just like you have been doing.
