FlowmasterVFX Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and have already built a few GBC modules. Since I only have one Lego transformer, there was always a problem with the power supply. My goal was to be able to centrally regulate several modules independently of each other. After a few attempts I came to this solution, see video below. Anyone who wants to can build this transformer. I built it and tested it several times. It works very well. Questions and suggestions are always welcome. Kind regards Christian Quote
Frequenzberater Posted March 10, 2024 Posted March 10, 2024 Much love for this! There is a bunch of pretty clever mechanisms. Quote

ludov Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Very nice, especially the space themed one. I like these GBC that are “dressed up”. Well done. Quote

ord Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Wow, that's great! I especially like the conveyor design but there are lots of things to like here. Quote

ludov Posted October 5 Posted October 5 (edited) That’s awesome! The minifigs moving trolleys is already cool, but having the legs move is a massive flex, well done! Did you have to lubricate or otherwise modify the legs to move them so easily, or does the mechanism provide enough force by itself? Edited October 5 by ludov Quote

Did you have to lubricate or otherwise modify the legs to move them so easily, or does the mechanism priced enough force by itself? Thanks ludov! Without modification of the legs it will definitely not work, way too much friction. Both trolleys are driven by one PF M-motor and the mechanism is in fact quite fragile, so the legs need to be "loosened up" first, otherwise the whole thing will break. I didn't lubricate them, but I had lots of used legs in stock and simply chose the ones that were already quite loose (caused by playwear let's say). Then I also manually moved the legs back and forth a bit on the hip piece, making sure there was even less friction left. I took a while, but it was worth it! Also important not to make them too loose to avoid having the risk the legs would just fall off during operation. A bit of Trial & Error there... 7 hours ago, Philo said: Pure awesomeness! llap Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Perhaps you already know (or are already in), my LUG (Steinhanse) is organizing a GBC world record attempt this year. We just got confirmation from Hamburg Trade Fair and the board game fair that we will have a separate exhibition hall available just for GBC. (There will be other LEGO displays in other halls, as well.) We are already in contact with a number of International & European GBCers and current plans/registrations are at 850+ modules but we try to grow it further. So, everyone potentially interested in joining, feel free to contact me. We have a Discord for the show set up with all details. Key facts: Location: Hamburg Trade Fair, Germany, Setup: Thursday, Nov, 27th, Public days and record attempt: Nov, 28th - Nov, 30th, You don't need to speak German. All GBC coordination will (also) be in English. Current participants are from a number of different countries., There are no registration fees. Spread the word if you know someone who might be interested to join. You can bring a lot of modules but also only one or a few. Every GBCer is welcome. llap Olli Quote
