Lego Builds account on Instagram calls em renewed Camilla & Bo'sun Will :pir-grin:  Don't know how to feel about it, I personally envisioned modern Will to have a 3626pb2180 sorta faceprint to not only emphasize his good nature and the fact he's become older, but also pay a nod to the 6235 Buried Treasure featuring a supposedly "adult Bo'sun Will", who has a stache. The torso is pretty much ideal for Camilla tho, the colours of her coat and hair are exactly matching those in the comics with the characteristic red accents, plus I can clearly see her growing into a dashing character after everything she's been through in said comics :pir-laugh: So I'd say the Camilla take here is pretty much thumbs up & I'm about to swap Will's head for the aforementioned one some time later.

I'm quite excited! I'm feeling generous enough to say that this really is a good year for fans of LEGO Pirate stuff, (albeit not so much for the theme itself.)  Expensive though.

Is it a good year? The upcomming Black Pearl, now Will and Camilla. Maybe a useful torso or accessoire here and there. Do we get something else? The Ninjago ship looks good though.

Admittedly I'm including the Minifigure series Quartermaster, the recent BAM torso and tile, the Thieves of Tortuga set (I know not everyone counts the BDP sets) and the yet-to-be-seen lineup of One Piece sets in there too. (I have very mixed feelings about the franchise itself as a "pirate" story, but it does look like we'll get what promises to be good pirates parts packs in a range of price points, so I do like that. Also I think the Baratie pirate restaurant is going to make for an awesome looking set.)

I still be waiting for that Sabre Island GWP. :pir-tongue:

Are the Bluecoat torsos still available on PAB? Those certainly have been a blessing these past years. :pir-thumb:

They are not available at PAB anymore.

Please no GWP. Make it a regular set!

But with the torsos gone, it looks not very promising for the near future.

Agreed , I even prefer a Pirate Fort type of 3-in-1 set inspired by a few older sets/build styles, instead of a GWP. (3-in-1 pirate ship is retiring after 5+ years)

A shame, for we lose another great pirate themed torso. :pir-cry_sad:

I was referencing the voting poll conducted some time ago. I believe it was about the next most likely set remake to be a GWP after the Blacktron Cruiser. The Sabre Island ranked quite high which sparked some discussion on these forums. I would rather see it as a regular set, along with a whole wave but if GWP be the modern way of LEGO, so be it.

There's a new BAM pirate which will be available in stores next week or so. Or this week already? Picture by CarterBricks04 on reddit:

Yikes! I was so much concentrated on the print that I didn't notice the color of the torso :pir-grin: Orange might be to flashy for me. Have to wait for better pictures to fully judge the torso. Print looks good though.

Do these BAM minifig parts end up at PAB online?

I have never seen them on pab. But if you have a lego store near you they usually let you get 9 pieces of whatever you want. So you don't need to get a full figure you could just get 9 torsos.

Depends on the store I guess. As far as I know they are told not to let people pick single parts but just full figures. Wether all follow that is an other story ofc.

That is the problem :pir-grin:

Aye, I echo yer troubles.

At first glance the jacket seemed to be in coral colour, if the be the case, it might be a strange choice indeed.
