Retrocity Posted March 31 Posted March 31 There is a new printed tile of Captain Redbeard in the new BAM parts. Looks to be a mid battle picture on a ship with smoke from cannon fire. I think it will be a really cool piece to place on the wall of a room in a pirate fort, pub, or in the captains quarters of a ship. Quote

I've gotten the BAM parts from Bricklink sellers in the past, wasn't too much more expensive. (Though as with anything Bricklink, it helped that the store had some other stuff I wanted.) Quote
bingowaldorf Posted April 22 Posted April 22 (edited) The bandage piece makes for a decent bandana. I got this one from 60459. Edited April 22 by bingowaldorf I messed up the photo link. Quote
Jiesdeo Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Professor Kettleburn's (the guy with the wooden leg) torso in 76454 Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower could maybe be useful: Quote

Lyichir Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Just was looking at the upcoming City set pictures and noticed that the dump truck that comes in the Tow Truck sets uses flat-topped treasure chests in black. First time for the flat lid to come in black, and the first time the treasure chest bottom has come in black in ten years. Quote
Black Falcon Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Pictures for the Prize machine are in the usual places, the Pirate looks good, though kinda would have expected redbeard there, but I guess we got enough chances to get him already anyways. Not sure about the female pirate though, I guess that one is supposed to be a female captain, but kinda looks more like a circus director to me, Quote

GeoBrick Posted May 17 Posted May 17 We just might see those 'pirate' torso's in next year's BDP Series 7 "Privateer Fortuna" set. Quote
TalonCard Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Check those pirate figures again, I think it's juuuuuust possible they're supposed to be fully grown up versions of Will and Camilla from the Golden Medallion comic. (Camilla's hair has been inconsistent over the years, but the most prevalent image on the internet shows her with yellow hair and a similar bow too.) Quote

I didn’t think that at first, but I definitely see it now. Both torsos are really nice. The gold Imperial torso could be used with either blue or red coats or as its own separate faction. Quote

If the minifig also would have light yellow legs it would be more convincing (matching Camilla's dress from the comic). I still remember reading the comic as a small kid. Redbeard blowing the wall... too early! Quote

Elephant Knight Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I love the briwn torso, more variety in pirate torsos is always a win. The tan torso will be a nice addition as well. EKnight Quote
Murdoch17 Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Sort-of on topic: The pirate lady in tan would go well with this Ninjago fig: Jacob Pevsner. I just need to swap the new figs' head / hair and find two more compatible figs to complete my version of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band! Quote
Jack Sassy Posted May 21 Posted May 21 20 hours ago, Yperio_Bricks said: Here's a picture of the pirate minifigs from the prize machine set To be honest, that pirate minifigure on the left reminds me more of the singer Brandi Carlile, which be not a bad thing. Just that she looks more like a rockstar rather than an aristocrat. The torso itself seems closer to those 19th century designs. Either way, a good torso! Quote
Yperio_Bricks Posted May 21 Posted May 21 I only wish she had corresponding legs to match the torso. The plain white legs do not work for me and it also looks like the red cummerbund is cut in half and parts of the jacket are missing. Quote
karrit Posted May 21 Posted May 21 When I first saw the pictures I thought the female pirate was a marching band member. I realized it was supposed to be a pirate when I noticed the gun & map. There are some new torso prints up on the online Minifig Factory. Some are recolors of the new pirate torso prints. Unfortunately for the others they are basically tee shirt print designs Quote

Lego Builds account on Instagram calls em renewed Camilla & Bo'sun Will Don't know how to feel about it, I personally envisioned modern Will to have a 3626pb2180 sorta faceprint to not only emphasize his good nature and the fact he's become older, but also pay a nod to the 6235 Buried Treasure featuring a supposedly "adult Bo'sun Will", who has a stache. The torso is pretty much ideal for Camilla tho, the colours of her coat and hair are exactly matching those in the comics with the characteristic red accents, plus I can clearly see her growing into a dashing character after everything she's been through in said comics So I'd say the Camilla take here is pretty much thumbs up & I'm about to swap Will's head for the aforementioned one some time later.
