Anio Posted Sunday at 10:08 AM Posted Sunday at 10:08 AM I think the model has a linkage mechanism to open the DRS. Quote
Oh_Hi_Mao Posted Sunday at 10:35 AM Posted Sunday at 10:35 AM It is overhelming to see every year the same thing... They don't even hesitating to change tyres. Price per piece ration is terrible for non motorized set. And still, every year we get more Quote
gheneli Posted Sunday at 11:44 AM Posted Sunday at 11:44 AM (edited) Another F1? Really? I imagined people had enough of F1 cars last year, both in Technic and Creator / Icons... Have they really run out of ideas? Edited Sunday at 11:45 AM by gheneli Quote

And we will get one more Technic 1:8 scale F1 car in summer! I guess Cadillac and Audi coming next year. So buckle up ! Quote
Timorzelorzworz Posted Sunday at 12:58 PM Posted Sunday at 12:58 PM (edited) One who spends that much money on fake wheels and stickers that come loose is beyond help. 230€, far from reality our dansk friends Edited Sunday at 12:59 PM by Timorzelorzworz Quote
R0Sch Posted Sunday at 01:19 PM Posted Sunday at 01:19 PM Oh FFS, is it really that hard to make wider tire and rim at this price point?! Looks like too many have bought the previous F1 models or they wouldn't cheap out the 5th time in a row. Quote
Zerobricks Posted Sunday at 02:31 PM Posted Sunday at 02:31 PM I wonder if the DRS is connected to the gearbox. It would make sense! Other than that I don't see any new parts/innovations. Quote
2GodBDGlory Posted Sunday at 06:00 PM Posted Sunday at 06:00 PM Very little interest in this set--unless, of course, it has handy new parts! Quote
williamyzfr1 Posted Sunday at 08:16 PM Posted Sunday at 08:16 PM (edited) I'll be up for it when its on Amazon for £150 just to add to the F1 collection. Shame about the same sized wheels but if they did bring out larger rear wheels I would feel compelled to upgrade/retrofit to the others. Edited Sunday at 08:17 PM by williamyzfr1 Quote
langko Posted Monday at 01:57 AM Posted Monday at 01:57 AM I must be one of the few that’s actually excited for this set. This one looks so much better than the original (42141) they released. Yes it sucks about the rear tires still not being wider, but it’s still a massive improvement on the tires that we got with 42141. I never bought that set because it looked terrible, and haven’t bought any of the other F1 cars because it didn’t make sense to me to buy the teams I don’t support. So I’m looking forward to finally having an F1 car in the collection (once it goes on sale as always). Quote
ying Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM LEGO still hasn't added wide tires to 42228.;-( Quote

I added later wheels, tyres & wheel inserts which improved things immensely but the whole car still looks like a prototype for later Lego F1 cars. I have them all so yes, I will buy the next one when discounted. Edited 22 hours ago by williamyzfr1 Quote
